    Episode 111
    "The Return of the Prodigy Sons"
    Recorded November 16, 2019
    For release on December 6, 2019
    * This show and the last one released -- Episode 110 -- were shot out of sequence. That's just how it worked out.
    ---------------------------------------------------------------------
    THIS IS A RE-EDIT OF THE PREVIOUSLY UPLOADED SHOW OF THE SAME NAME. A slight modification has been made, obscuring the message that appears on a certain player's cap, which is not in keeping with the rules and spirit of PRODIGY BOWLERS TOUR. The fallout from this incident is that some new rules have been instituted going forward:
    1. No hats of any kind may be worn on PRODIGY.
    2. No political or religious messages of any kind may be displayed on clothing during PRODIGY. Jewelry is fine.
    3. No headphones or earphones may be worn on PRODIGY.
    NO EXCEPTIONS!
    It is unfortunate that these rules had to be instituted. But I will not allow PRODIGY BOWLERS TOUR to become a forum for the promotion of any political or religious agendas. The show is about bowling, and specifically, youth bowling. If that's not enough for you, then too bad.

    On this very special edition of PRODIGY BOWLERS TOUR, we welcome back three former regulars on the show. Hence the title, "The Return of the Prodigy Sons." It's a star-studded field this week, and the pins start flying right away in our Wild Card Round, which consists of the 7 players who failed to secure one of the top 4 spots in the stepladder finals through the Qualifying Round. This may just be one of the very best episodes of PRODIGY BOWLERS TOUR ever.

    I've been watching Prodigy since late 2017/early 2018. I am really impressed at how Nolan has progressed from those early day to now. He's really evolved into a solid bowler.

    I'm glad that Logan lowered his back swing because I noticed sometimes when it comes to right side spares he be missing most of them when he have the ball so high above his head. You see sometimes when you get that bowling ball so high above your head it's actually kinda hard to control the ball when it's all the way up there. But he's controlling the ball much better now that he lowered his back swing some.

    Watched half of the episode on Saturday, then went to watch the other half at about 5:00 (CST) and couldn't find it! Then it popped up when I checked back at about 6:15. I thought my computer was turning goofy on me until I read the explanation in the description.

    That second match shows why you should always keep your head in the game,even if it feels like your completely lost. You never know when your opponent is going to give you an opening or you'll find the line. Theres many nights when I've had to grind out single pin spares till I found the shot or the shot found me.lol

    Hey man I just recently moved to Georgia and am going to join the league and wanted to ask if 195 pin count is good for a Ten year old two hander

    • @ProdigyBowlersTour
      @ProdigyBowlersTour  Před 4 lety +1

      A 195 average for a 10 year old is exceptional. A 195 high game for a 10 year old is pretty good, but far from unheard of.

    So Randy if a pin goes in the pit or the gutter and comes out and stands back up, is it considered to be knocked down, or left standing?

    • @ProdigyBowlersTour
      @ProdigyBowlersTour  Před 2 lety +1

      If a pin bounces back on to the lane and stands, then it is considered to be standing. If a ball bounces out of the gutter or the pit and returns to the lane and knocks any pins down, they do not count and if it’s the first ball, they must be respotted.

    Coach randy, as a two handed bowler I have trouble flattening my hand so I can spare the 7 pin. Do you have any tips?

    • @ProdigyBowlersTour
      @ProdigyBowlersTour  Před 4 lety +1

      Dom OoGaBoOgA - Flattening the hand (or wrist) is not the consideration here. The trick is to learn to modify your axis rotation to as near 0 degrees as possible. I know a number of right-handers nowadays who try to throw a backup ball at their 10 pins. But even if they don’t actually produce the left-to-right ball motion of a backup, the mere act of TRYING to throw a backup often tends to cut way down on their axis rotation and in some cases even produces a straight ball, which is ultimately what we were hoping to produce in the first place.

    • @dontcapalot____6619
      @dontcapalot____6619 Před 4 lety +1

      BrownswickBowling how would I modify my axis rotation? I just have trouble doing that because when I try I lose accuracy

    • @ProdigyBowlersTour
      @ProdigyBowlersTour  Před 4 lety +1

      Dom OoGaBoOgA - Stay behind the ball, don’t come around the side of it. And if you wanna throw a backup, try to come up the inside of the ball.
