On today's edition of PRODIGY BOWLERS TOUR, we bring you the first "Single Ball Elimination" event of the 2018-19 season, and for the first time, it's a Single Ball Eliminator with Redemption Frames.
Each frame, we eliminate one player until the field is winnowed down to just two. The final two players bowl a ten-frame match to determine this week's champion. Along the way as we're eliminating players, we give them two chance to get back into the competition in two "Redemption Frames."
As always, your comments are welcome. But we do insist that you keep your comments positive. Remember, the mission of PRODIGY BOWLERS TOUR is to "Celebrate Junior Bowling while we Elevate Junior Bowlers." So if your comments are helpful, not hurtful, then by all means, make them. But if all you have to offer is to insult, demean or injure our youth bowlers, then we'll thank you to keep such comments to yourself. Otherwise, they will be removed, and in certain cases, persons who leave such comments will be blocked from commenting again.
You play-by-play voice is USBC Silver Certified Coach Randy Brown, who also serves as the Volunteer Youth Director at Brunswick Zone Roswell. A former PBA member and an inductee in the Texas Radio Hall of Fame, Randy offers his insights into the game in an attempt to inform and enlighten viewers as they enjoy the competition.

Why did Big Logan Mathis withdrawal for?
The prodigy bowlers tour and Logan fossum were the only reasons I started bowling. Thank you so much for allowing me to become engaged in this awesome sport.
No one "allowed" you to become engaged in the sport. You started bowling, and like the rest of us, you discovered what an awesome and addicting sport it is.
I bowled my 2nd 300 game wearing Prodigy merch. Very proud to support you're channel.
The bowlers are just getting better and better!
You're watching them grow up, right before your eyes.
Hey but the 2 handed master race is taking over
Cool. Like seeing the little guys hold their own against some really good big players. Just love watching you guys you do a good job coach Randy. 👋
One of the reasons I'm so fond of this format is that it is very plausible that one of our littles could actually win it...or at least get into the final match. I mean, they don't have to win any frame to advance; all they have to do is avoid being low man in the frame. That's very doable for any of them. I've seen all our littles throw lots of strikes, so I know they're capable. But this format is especially good because it puts every player under pressure on every shot. Some of the little guys (and for that matter, some of the bigs) have to learn how to handle that pressure. This is good experience. And I love watching how they deal with it.
Nick Dishwasher😂 Good one Randy I like it
These videos that you have made over the years have help me through a lot health issues and family issues thank you for helping me I appreciate it and I feel dischingers because no one can say my last name or pronounce it right but I love you're videos
low-KRISH-she-oh. Am I close?
Not even close but I like it when you said dishwasher do you have something for my last name ?
Lo-SRICK-ee-oh?
This was fun. Nerve wracking, but fun.
One of the reasons these "single ball eliminator" style events are among my favorites is because they put you guys in constant pressure situations. You know every time you get up to bowl that the next ball you throw could be your last. I love that. Toughens you guys up for when the time comes that you really need one.
The commercial for that little portable bowling lane toy, I still have one of those from years ago
I had one, too. Early to mid '70s, as I recall.
Wow, I haven’t watched a prodigy bowlers tour video in quite a while. Love it, but I’ve started to hone my skills on other activities that take over my time. I still bowl, however, and I’m still on my leagues and school’s team. Fun fun. Have a good one! :)
Wait until you see the new Christmas episode that's going up tomorrow (12/21/2018). Maybe the best show we've ever done.
The name taper is EXACTLY like the one at my bowling center
This is one of my favorite episodes that you do on Prodigy Bowlers Tour.
I have been watching since 2016 and you do a fantastic job with these kids. Job well done.
I really do enjoy these single ball eliminators. I love the drama they create. I love the pressure it makes the kids feel (especially the first time or two they bowl in them). And I love the enhancements we've added to the format. You know, this idea originated as a copycat rip-off of the PBA's Chris Paul Celebrity Challenge that they do each year. We just changed it up a little by having the final two bowl a full, ten-frame match. Then we added the double-ball elimination aspect to it. But I think this version may be my favorite. It combines the instant elimination aspect of the single ball eliminator with the aspect of giving them a second, and even a third, chance to get back into the mix, with the Redemption Frames. The double ball eliminator with Redemption Frames that we did several months ago was just too much. It took too long and turned into an all-day affair. This one felt about right to me.
You guy should have an instagram where you can post about schedule updates, when you guys post, maybe people could ask questions to people, for people wondering what ball someone was using. things like that.
Crazyplayer32 ._. I’d help with that, but it’s not my choice.
Crazyplayer32 ._. - We have a Facebook group for just this purpose. It’s called “Prodigy Bowlers Tour.” Be sure to answer the screening questions when you submit a request to join the group.
Hey Randy thank you for all the great Bowen I love you very much you are the best guy ever thank you so much you are awesome will
I'd just like to say "hat's off" to fellow down-and-in bowler, Tristin. Always a pleasure to see a youngster going old school like us old timers.
Awesome
You can't say they didn't make this episode exciting. Thanks for another great show!
One of the things I like most about these single ball eliminations is that there's drama built into the process. Almost every frame.
If Christian reads this, last week during league I shot 458 (I was a 205 average bowler, now 200 😭). Anyway, bad weeks happen but maybe next week will be better. 😊
Christian needs to get his equipment plugged and re-drilled. He's outgrown the span he had drilled about a year ago. Thing is, these kids grow so fast at times that they can outgrow their span by an inch or so within six months when they hit a growth spurt. I wouldn't say Christian's span is a full inch short, but it's definitely short enough that it's hurting his ability to bowl his best. But he's got a big enough arsenal that it won't be cheap to plug and redrill them all. He should start a GoFundMe campaign.
BrownswickBowling I bowled with a span too short when I hit my growth spurt as well. I remember it being really hard to just let it go and kept tugging it left, it also hurt my hand a lot. But I only had 3-4 balls so it wasn’t that expensive to re-drill. Yes, he should start a GoFundMe to pay for the redrilling especially with as many balls he has.
Really enjoying revisiting some of the PBTs. Hope Coach Randy can see his way clear to making some new ones this fall.
Can’t believe he’s moving away🥺
Coach randy you should have bowled in this!
Ikr
He has bowled two of these. He partook in the Double with Redemption and the roadway to hell ball eliminator back june 2017
So, I see they’re doing away with the Frameworx Scoring System and installed the new BES X Scoring System! A welcome change to the alley! I wish my bowling alley could do away with the Brunswick Vector System and maybe install the same thing or the Brunswick Sync systems and get some new pinsetters installed! That aside, awesome video as always!
I can't begin to tell you what a relief it was to see that the old scoring system was completely pulled out and this new system was fully installed when I came in last week. What a welcome change.
The underground wiring on the old system was all screwed up, so when they took out the touch screens a couple of years ago and replaced them with the refurbished touch-pad consoles, it only revealed some of the underlying wiring problems. The only way to fix it was to completely rewire the place. So they just got a whole new scoring system, the Qubica-AMF system you see here in the new video.
I had gone in Thursday to make sure I had everything figured out at the keypad level. What I didn't anticipate was that the folks at the counter had not yet been fully trained on the system. So anything that had to be done at the counter, well, it was like the blind leading the blind. We had to move some teams around in league, and no one up there knew how to do it.
But they've now had a week to work with it, and I'm trusting the universe that by the time we show up tomorrow (Saturday), they'll have everything hammered out. (I hope, I hope, I hope.) ;-)
"I'm calling him Nick Dishwasher from now on"
Good show. I enjoy these eliminator formats. Would love to see you use the Strike A Match format from last spring .
We might. It was kind of a one-off. But you never know.
Spoiler: Everyone is a winner as it appears BZ Rozwell finally replaced the craptacular Frameworx scoring system.
projectalchemy honestly, I preferred the simpler scoring system. Although it is pretty cool, the only awesome thing I can say about it is the cut scenes when you open. Those are pretty cool.
So. Many. 2 Handers! Lol guess this will be the next bowling revolution
The "next" bowling revolution? Uh, it was the LAST bowling revolution. Where have you been?
rbvo I mean everyone’s gonna be switching over and in the next 20 years or so everyone will be 2 handing it
I'd love to bowl in one of these with you guys, but at the same time I'd rather be able to throw more shots if I made the trip all the way there
These kids are awesome! Must have one heck of a coach!! Loved Tristin's ball reaction. What ball was that and layout if anyone knows.
Frame 11 has an editing mistake. Christian is in, not out
The real miracle on these is that there aren't hundreds more editing mistakes.
I predicted the correct 2 players in the final but got the result of it wrong lol
Guess what? There's no prize for you. LOL!
Tristian is the new Pete Weber.
hey coach randy of rosewell bowling alley what do you think of nick in the ninth kelly l.
I'd love to be in this I ave 196 and if you ever come to Wisconsin I might want to give it a try
You know, we've had people come from as far away as Michigan and Honolulu, Hawaii to come bowl PRODIGY. In the coming months, I'm expecting a young bowler from Germany (you know, the one in Europe) to come bowl PRODIGY with us. So you're fresh out of excuses. :-)
hey i'm from there too if your on a high school team tell me witch one we might be in the same league

I really wish i could join prodigy but i'm from malaysia... Feels bad
We had a kid travel here from Hawaii last year, and I’ve been told to expect one from Germany in the next few months. So you’re fresh out of excuses. :-)
@@ProdigyBowlersTour man this show has become like a famous show now
Hi
I’d wonder when Christian would actually start to work more towards his game. There’s so much to fix with basics that maybe a tweak or so on some would help get better timing and rhythm. I understand that each bowler is different but I’m sure every bowler has potential! Timing, execution, mentality is one of the biggest things I’d like to see in the future McFluffy.
hey coach randy of rosewell bowling i think that dishwasher is funny Kelly Lyons/
44:50 Nick Dishwasher
Any tips for me, I am trying to increase my rev rate.
Get your thumb out of the ball quickly (if it's in it at all). Don't squeeze the ball. Keep a super relaxed thumb. Let the ball ROLL OFF YOUR FINGERS. Don't try to "spin" it, just ROLL it.
@@rbvo thanks
That was actually me. rbvo is another one of my CZcams channels, and I didn't realize i was still logged into it when I posted that comment. I have a few YT channels, including rbvo, BowlingOldies and a couple of others. But BrownswickBowling is, by far, the most popular.
Coach Randy, I know this video is old but what does mean W/D on Big Logan Frame?
it meant he withdrew from the match
Please, any tips, I'm Josh
josh g -. There’s nothing that will help you more than just growing. :-)
Huge Rowan fan he’s what youth league bowling is about smiles n having fun. I always cheer for Christian. I think he could be a great bowler if he just slowed his game down and listened to coach Randy instead of always going back to his bad habits.
Rowan and Hunter, I suspect, are going to be the stars of PRODIGY for years to come. And we have one or two others in that age group (or a little younger) who, once they start growing a bit more, are going to be right there. There's a little guy named Samuel -- I think you caught a glimpse of him last May on our league's TOC -- who is consumed with bowling and has a real knack for it. He's just still real young (8). I keep telling him he's welcome to come bowl on PRODIGY, but he keeps avoiding it. I think he wants to hold off until he feels he's ready to compete with the Hunters and Spiroses and Rowans of the world. He's not far away. And you saw Marquis almost run the stepladder in that league TOC. He's got the moxie and the natural ability, he just doesn't get quite as much opportunity to practice. They're both super young. But keep an eye out for them in the future.
20:32 Oh, Anthony. How could you leave that kid hangin' like that?
hi randy great game withe dishwasher brothers kelly l
Randy have you ever tried straightening out Nolan’s arm on his back swing?
Of course. He hasn't shown much interest in trying to change.
Shout out to daft punk being played
maybe the reason faith throws it slow is because the ball is too heavy for her?
It's possible.
Is this in Georgia
Yes, prodigy is in Roswell, Georgia near Atlanta, Georgia
Roswell, Georgia. A northern suburb of Atlanta.
when's the next episode?

I don't see many kids that bowl one-handed anymore 😔
There are still quite a few. I mean, three of our best bowlers are one-handers -- Charlie, Logan F. and Christian. And let's not forget Tristin and Big Logan M. In the "littles" division, there's Spiros (who we don't get to see much on PRODIGY because as soon as he's done bowling league with us, he leaves for another league on Saturday afternoons across town). And there are a couple of others -- very young ones -- that you will see eventually who are one-handers. But honestly, the second or third highest average in our Varsity league is a kid you still haven't seen on PRODIGY yet -- I'm anxious to show him to you -- and he's a one-hander. A really, really good one. And that's just OUR center. (And I've probably left some out of that list.) There's lots more around town.
@@ProdigyBowlersTour I can't wait, I hope one week that I'll be able to get down and participate in one of the sports shots, with the only reason I'm not able to is that I bowl in McDonough for league at Funbowl. But I'm excited to see the person you mentioned on Prodigy. Enjoy the content Coach, and I'm looking forward to next week's Christmas episode!
I have one word for you: PREBOWL
Don't know where you are but up in Wisconsin in my junior league there are only 3 2-handers out of the house
hello my name is Kyle I'm apart of my bowling team for my highs school. I'm a two hander when I go around the gutter and the ball returans they call that a heart attack . Mostly because it get on the one board and shoots back in to the pocket.I think that funny and I just want to let you guys to know.
And you do this because......why.....exactly?
kyle hate to say it but your remark is hard to read the English not too well written
Are Nick and Tristan both alright? No serious injuries, I hope?
I honestly don't know. Haven't seen them or talked to them since Saturday. They both bowl in another youth league at AMF Woodstock on Tuesday nights, and I try to get over there to coach as often as I can. But I was busy Tuesday night making up for lost time trying to get this PRODIGY episode edited, so I was tied up with post-production Tuesday night and didn't go. So tomorrow (Saturday), when I see them again, I guess I'll find out. It didn't seem all that serious to me Saturday. But Nick was noticeably limping.
What ball did matt and antonio use
anyone know @BrownswickBowling
Sean Lopez Antonio using a blue hammer
AS ALWAYS NO SPOIL PEOPLE :)
You said Matt’s name right but you spelled it wrong on the screen. 😂😂😂
During the introduction.
Infernal Spectre - I sure did. Oops. It’s about time this show gets some better talent working behind the scenes. (Sorry, Matt.)
How’s tristin and nick doing?
Saw them today (12/15) and they both seemed to be fine.
Why do guys like Anthony and Tristin need to get a new ball almost every episode there’re on?
Ethan Bowers - They don’t.
Aww man 5 hours late
I wish I could come bowl in one of these but my average is only 120😩 I live close enough. I just stink at 🎳
So what? Come bowl with us sometime. Whether you make the cut and advance to the show or not, you're sure to have fun. And you'll get to meet the PRODIGY kids. And who knows? You might get lucky and show up some week when the format is such that EVERYBODY makes the show. It happens occasionally. Like this episode.
I'll think of it sometime
Christian seems to always be upset with you the last prodigy I watched he was upset with you to 😂
LOL! I needle Christian mercilessly. Trying to toughen him up. But I come to find out, he's a cupcake. So I'm thinking about making that his new nickname. Cupcake. Or maybe Buttercup. Waddya think?
@@ProdigyBowlersTour cupcake sounds like a great name 😂
I think you should combine the two and call him "Buttercake".
Wait nolan drinks coke and not Pepsi he's a disgrace to the bowling community.
