  • In this tutorial, I show you the difference between WordPress best page builders, Elementor and Elementor Pro and Divi from Elegant Themes. Elementor Pro and Divi are in my opinion at this moment the best page builders for WordPress. But which one is the best? Well, that is up to you. With the information in this video, I want to help you to make the right decision for your situation.
    Get Elementor: ferdykorp.com/elementor
    Get Divi: ferdykorp.com/divi
We will talk about the interface of Elementor and Divi, the modules and elements of both page builders, and the pricing. We will talk about features that are far better than the other page builder or not a feature at all. Like Popups, Split testing, dark mode, inner sections, and more.
We will talk about the Premade layouts of Elementor Pro and Divi, about the theme builder of Elementor Pro and Divi, and about the support.
We will talk about the community of Divi and Elementor, third-party plugins, and my opinion about the page builder.

A few years ago there was WordPress, then you had a theme on top of WordPress and a page builder. These days there are theme builders. Using Elementor Pro and Divi it is possible to create complete websites. It is a theme and page builder in one. It is a website builder on top of WordPress. Thanks to the competition both Elementor Pro and Divi become better and better! We are the winners because we get the amazing tools! :D

This is excellent Ferdy, you really had a good time making this one. I've used Elementor a bit more than Divi and feel that Divi is more user friendly but the way you show Elementor, you make it look so easy! I know it all comes down to practice. I'll dive into Divi again for now. Thanks so much for this excellent comparison. Cheers!

Great and entertaining video - comprehensive cover of features of both, so captivated I watched it all the way to the end (with a few breaks and rewinds of course)! The AB test feature on Divi looks interesting and something I have never come across before on a website builder. I think I will try divi first as its the more cost effective option, has more organised theme builder menus and seems like more user friendly support. Though I can see there are some great powerful features to take advantage of with Elementor and the Croco plugin you rave about on steroids :) I feel like I understand the value of the paid versions of each and more confident to give these both a try eventually.

Page builders are dying with the new blocks, features and speed for Gutenberg in comparison to these builders. Plus, Elementor has raised their prices way too much for their products. Their goal is to run their own platform to boost speeds, but you will pay even more for these services- and it will probably still load slower.
By the end of the year we probably won't need builders at all- though I still have E-Pro for now.
Why pay more for less? I can't wait to get away from these expensive and bloated builders. WPCrafter says the same, and he is correct.

@@ferdykorpershoek The code output is much more cleaner, in oxygen i don't need a theme i can build it using the templating functionalty + using ACF with oxygen i can make it do amazing things , i can add my own php very easily no need for a child theme, the ingration with gutinburg make it much easier for the clients to edit there pages content without touching oxygen the out of the box woocomers is grate and is editable so fast and the conditions function in oxygen take it to new level of control. The developer team behind oxygen is amazing and constantly adding new features that the community needs, i have a coding background for me oxygen is better i have much more control and this is very important in my opinion, i used elementor before and it's amazing tool too but for me oxygen is better plus it's cheaper one time payment for life time like Divi but better faster, these are most of the things i like of oxygen builder that of course doesn't mean Divi or elementor is bad no way but site i prefer oxygen and i hope you do a newer version of your review on oxygen it's like css visual builder I'm sure you will like it too. I'm a big fan of your content thank you for your work and effort.

true but on the other hand nobody will get into maintaining page builder - generated code by hand, right? I was a freak with the "div soup", I was very strict in my personal standards. But guess what: clients don't care about that. Clients want good cheap fast (and for them "fast" doesn't mean a fast loading website). I do understand that we are the ones who educate the clients but I prefer to educate them regarding more pressing issues in web design. "Div soup" is a battle where I accept my defeat.

I am planning on making code tutorials ☺️. But I still believe in WordPress, Elementor and Divi. The websites of my clients are doing great using these tools.

and how will you let clients edit their sites? through code?

  • @AndyHutchinsons

They're both bloated a deadweight on Wordpress made for people who shouldn't be designing websites. Also, with full-site editing slowly maturing, they'll be completely irrelevent within two years.

It is completely fine to have your opinion. I am happy with tools like Elementor and Divi that help anyone to make a website these days. I think they will still be very relevant in 2 years.
