I cannot understand your assessment. For me and most people here, DIVI is the winner and definitely not Elementor. I tested Elementor extensively and finally switched to Divi for several reasons. The DIVI Builder offers more options, is clearer, better structured and more powerful. More user-friendly and so on...The price/performance ratio is unbeatable. Elementor has unfortunately become too expensive and a lifetime version is no longer offered at all. The new DIVI Version 5 will soon be rolled out and will leave Elementor behind :-)
We build with Divi and our websites rank good on google. I work with both, and I can say Divi is better and easier to use to achieve the layout I want to, I can perfectly resize anything to the sizes I want. Speed is most important nowadays, and for that I also prefer Divi. Yes, Elementor has more modules to offer, which is great, but in the end we prefer to build simple websites without crazy animations and effects, which helps with performance too. What I have to say is the shortcode thing, even though it doesn't seem to affect SEO too much. And the integrated flex-box feature from Elementor, but all these things are coming with DIVI 5.0. Can't wait the updates. Speed-wise I have to say that DIVI-builder can get pretty slow on big websites, especially when you switch to other views (tablet or smartphone) and if you have installed many other plugins. But this will also be fixed with the new version.
Would you recommend it for ecommerce? I would definitly have a blog and multiple landing pages for my clients, defintly linking to sdocial media. Possibly includding a live video broadcasting feature, but if it slows the website i rather just go live on social media.

The word “SEO” sells. People often choose a WordPress theme that markets itself as SEO friendly. Unfortunately there is literally no difference on SEO scores in using any well established WordPress theme as they all follow great coding standards. A site will gradually rank better if the quality of content is good.
So if you are saying that Divi is faster than Elementor, and I have Divi, it is slow as f***, its the most laggy builder I have ever had. So if this crap is faster than Elementor, can you tell me which theme builder is faster than Divi then?
I still prefer Divi for creating more website in short time more convenient that's very easy to learn for first timer I'm having hard time to learn elementor. Divi is fast I can create simple website in less than an hour a professional web site in 8 hours. Divi is somewhat pricey but it's actually cheaper if your creating multiple website
I'm using divi just over 10 months and finding it very challenging it's heavy on computer with lagging issues also row and module settings get hidden behind one another u can edit on back end to solve this with wire frame however you have to label all the modules rows and sections it's very inefficient u loose the visual building aspect, very time consuming and frustrating going forward.I only tested out elementor and had no issues with this,many people eventually switch over to elementor in the end because of this. Divi is shiny and fancy but not very efficient !
in elementor's latest version i am not able to make image full width also the header footer I have created are spilled after designing I don't know what to do. i have installed the latest elementor free version
From a moral aspect, Elementor sides with the perpetuator of genocide. So this can be added to a margin if you're conscious about where your money goes.

and the UI is simple flashes and animation may make an impact but become hindrances on "funnelling" the visitor. Divi fan too.

What is the spec of your computer? 16GB Ram?
Elementor may have many sites kits, but very expensive. Divi has many included for free.
