I'm an Arsenal fan, I've never hated spurs, want them to do better than Chelsea. But don't want to finish beneath them. I think competitive respect is a more appropriate way to describe it. Probably the fact that for many years Spurs weren't near a good enough level to be competitive made it this way, though. Certainly feels a bit more intense over recent years.
