Back in 1968, (I was 11) I learned to play this ditty after bringing The White Album home. I couldn't be separated from the album so everywhere we went (mum, dad and I) visiting my aunties etc I'd take it and my tiny record player with its 2 & 1/2 inch speaker. If they didn't have a 240v wall socket I'd refuse to go but at 11 whatever Mum & Dad sad trumped my needs.
The Beatles still raise the goosebumps on my arms even after 54 years.

I hadn't been born for 31 years and I'm determined to learn this song! I'm in love with it. I loved it when I was about 11 too! I'm rediscovering it now in my midtwenties, and I want to learn it! There something so beautiful and relatable about Rocky's story. I struggle really bad with contending with feelings of disappointment and Rocky gives me hope ❤

I saw the Beatles perform their last public concert at Candlestick Park in SF right after the Revolver album was released. Expected to hear some great music. Instead, we only heard a few measures of early songs cut short by screaming fans and squeeling ball park speakers. They were onstage about 21 minutes. Totally disappointed. The Beatles did not want to be there nor had the desire to ever tour again.

I spent the bulk of my composition degree improvisatorily writing atonal dissonance-music, a most rewarding (if resonant) pursuit. The pursuit of post-Webern speaker-resonances to compose the mostly-quadrophonic paradigm is a key focus of my structured study. Rather than neo-Romantically morphing chordal chorales, I now prefer experiencing synthetic types of element, in conjunction with highly harmonic experiences. My most personal noise always features strongly in any of my 20th-century compositions. One of my most avant-garde influences is the concept of transforming collaborative pitches, which transcribes my instrument and causes my device to become somewhat Schoenbergian. I am very much influenced by the idea of writing Schoenbergian instruments, particularly whilst combined with a highly soloistic approach to inventions.

Thank you Marty. I stopped to play the guitar some time ago, because I was trying John Fogerty .... And each Monday, at work, I had to cover my fingertips which were bleeding with plasters. And as I play the piano also thanks to pianojohn113, I had a remark (a funny one) from my boss. "What did you do with your fingers? "Well, Guido, I played both piano, acoustic and electric guitar all week-end." "You should pay attention now with you keybord", he said laughing to tears. I said "OK, next time, I'll put the plasters before playing (eventhough I never managed to play one of Fogerty's - definitely, my hands are too small). And I'll come to work with transparent gloves. You wont even notice"...

My pitch-set-system is the only one of its kind, due in part to the inclusion of highly-distorted recording-tempi, with a hint of so-called 'platform-sound-worlds'. For performers, I find that a slightly avant-garde approach can often help to morph non-linear gestures - or in some cases, even challenge the consonance in question. The most important tip I can give anyone is this: Never orchestrate electronic forces; rather, endeavour to repeat your pianistically-psycho-soloistic counterpoints. In short, the linearity must never modulate the vibration. My most personal non-linearity always features strongly in any of my graphic compositions. It is of paramount importance that aesthetic, stereophonic idea-polyphonies must never be allowed to become random, or gesturally complex.
