The Analogues perform 'Rocky Racoon' by The Beatles during an integral rendition of The Beatles' White Album at the Philharmonic Hall in Liverpool, August 24th, 2018.
The Analogues are not only great musicians, they're SCHOLARS! Their note-perfect, live recreations of tracks which The Beatles themselves sometimes took days to perfect are marvels of performance which are truly on a par with the finest recitals of classical or jazz standards. When an orchestra performs a symphony by, say, Mozart, the orchestra are all reading the EXACT parts that Mozart (whose music I LOVE!) wrote out for them in finest detail. The Analogues figured out all of the parts for themselves, committed them to memory and then reproduced them from memory. Fair enough, "Rocky Raccoon" is not THE MOST challenging Beatles track to reproduce but when you put it in the context of a performance of the entire White Album (from which this excerpt has been taken), then it becomes a PHENOMENAL achievement. My respect for these musicians knows no bounds. I'm desperate to watch them in concert.
Who said it is impossible to go back to schooldays? It is possible when you listen to the BEATLES. Many thanks to the ANALOGUES for a great performance.
and let's not forget Allard Robert thegeyy who plays all sort of instruments that adds to the authenicity of the songs, horn, moog, piano, harmonica you name it, he nails it ...
