The only part I'd genuinely disagree on in terms of the weapon pool is how short you sell the frenzy auto. I can't take a lootpool seriously where a mythic pump shotgun is less viable than a green frenzy auto. The slightest drop off in damage of the hammer pump at a short distance is heavily punished by spraying.
Finally someone has the same opinion as me on shockwaves. They are in every single season, have a million exploits, are way too easy to use, smash through all structures. They should be replaced with launchpads or bouncers I am so bored of them. Launchpad thst you can carry were much more fair imo as they did not break builds, other players can use your pad and you can easily be shot out. But they won’t ever bring those back because that would involve using traps in modern fortnite 🙄
I wish mobility traps would come back. The whole reason they took traps out in the first place was because they weren't very skillful (which is true for the normal ones), but the mobility ones were skillful, as well as being balanced and fun.
Only watched 3 videos(including this one) so far and you’ve perfectly explained what I dislike about the game. I watched “epic hates OG fortnite” and perfectly explained how fortnite lost it’s identity and stuff. Ever since chapter 3 fortnite lost it’s identity. Look at all the different locations in chapter 1. Yes they reused assets from save the world but if you look at each location, they feel and look different. They don’t rely on good graphics unlike now where my game actually performs, consistently, below average meaning my game is framey and sometimes randomly freezes(could be bad connection though the freezes). You could show me a picture of a location in chapter 5 and I probably wont know which one it is. Chapter 1 had unqiue looking locations that used different colours. Everything now is just black/dark colours or white. I also watched the fortnite has a quality over quantity mentality and 100% agree. Again since chapter 3, they’ve just kept adding reskins of old weapons with slight differences. We now have like 5 or 6 ARs that look practically the same. We even have 2 smgs(compact smg) that look practically the same and same goes for the pump and sawtooth shotguns. Go into creative and instead of finding innovative and new weapons you’ll find 20 ARs, 23 SMGs, 16 shotguns, etc… and I guarantee that atleast 2/3rds of each weapon type is practically just the same weapon. Only chapter 2 was the best when they switched chapters. Reset the weapon pool to the default then by the end of the chapter you have most of the original weapon pool but also a lot of weapons that aren’t just reskins. Also I hate the attachment system since it just screws up the weapons. You have an AR? Well too bad you’ve got no optic meaning you’re already disadvantaged against people who got lucky. I’ve seen people say the attachment bench should stay as hard to get instead of making it like BO4 blackout where the attachments are found on the floor or chests and can much more easily get the attachments you want. It keeps the luck aspect but tones it down. Also the sniper is annoying. It practically removes the shotguns especially if you can a mod bench to take off the scope. Yes let’s go take off the sniper scope off a sniper to make it perform better then add a sniper scope to the SMG. For me personally when I say I wish they returned to chapter 1. I mean I wish they went back to the ways they went with chapter 1. Yes I want them to make the game better, I just want them to go around making it better like how they did in chapter 1. TL;DR I watched a few of your videos and have perfectly explained my dislikes about current fortnite. Chapter 1 was the best time for the mentality fortnite had when updating the game. Look in creative and you’ll find practically the same gun 50 times. Attachment system screws up the balancing of weapons
I’m very new to Fortnite so this was basically my first season aside from OG (I only play ZB btw) And I already agree with you with item rotation people with Shockwave Grenades. I’ve played for only half a year and I already despise those things. Then again, I was one of those people who ran a sniper setup. The sniper wars at the ends of games were extremely nerve-wracking and I never liked how I had to run them, but there was a certain point at the end of the season where I was the *only* person carrying a sniper.
The absolute biggest issue with fortnite right now is loss of identity. The boots-on-the-ground ready to rumble goofy aesthetic of earlier seasons and chapters is what made fortnite stand out and the loss of these components, especially in Battle Royale, creates an unfortunate homogeny in the locations and cosmetics. OG proved that people like and even prefer older mechanics and aesthetics. A combination of chapter 5 gunplay and building with a late chapter 1/early chapter 2 type map would be great. I personally find the lack of creativity when it comes to skins, locations, and weapons to be super discouraging when it comes to the future of the game. Didn’t now where to put this but another problem with the new locations is layout, they’re either almost completely flat or so disjointed that fighting is a one way street in which the winner is determined by whoever gets the jump of the other, on top of being aesthetically the exact same. The best location was probably hazy hillside, reminded me a lot of misty meadows.
7:48 we love a good spelling mistake (nagging aside) love watching yo vids keep it up man you say a LOT of good points that not a lot of people bring up and if you were on the fortnite dev team you would do so well in reviving the game tbh

fortnite takes itself too seriously now. Fortnite back in the day was a goofy cartoony shooter, and thats what made it fun. the thing that seperated it was its goofines. now with the new graphics and the new way weapons handle make it not feel like fortnite. Thats why the og season just felt better is because it was fortnite.
