- Why Find It In Fortnite Failed
Earlier this week Donald Mustard released his first interview after leaving Epic Games. It was very eye opening to the inner workings of Epic Games, Donald Mustard's vision for Fortnite, and the future of the metaverse. After reading it, I finally had a better perspective on where Fortnite was going as a game and how I was wrong with previous statements I shared with all of you. None the less, it still gave me more context as to why Find It In Fortnite Failed.

What's sad is all the potential Chapter 3 could have had if Fortnite didn't change plans halfway through. Collision was a good event, Season One and Season Two were both really solid... Missed opportunities. đ
Chapter 4 is entirely comprised of seasons originally intended for Chapter 3 too, meaning not only could it have been better, but also LONGER.
fr man it felt like what i always wanted from chapter 2
*heads up, i didnt realize that i wrote so much. this is a warning*
okay imagine:
- c3s1 flipped (plays out as usual.)
- c3s2 resistance (plays out as usual, slone still disappears after the mech crushes her tank.)
- c3s3 vibin (the reality tree warns of a great danger by spreading its roots, but nobody realizes this true message.)
- c4s1 oathbound (the tree spreads many abnormally large roots, and randomly summons in the medieval biome and the ageless in hopes that they can help.)
- c4s4 last resort (the ageless commands that the rift gate is built, saying that it will help the zero point. it is activated and brings in kado thorne and his resorts. him and the ageless soon get revealed to be evil and power hungry.)
- c4s2 mega (evie uses the zero point to bring in her home, mega city, the rest of that biome, and the peace syndicate in hopes that they can fend kado off)
- c4s3 (the zero point becomes drained and the island collapses in, revealing the jungle biome that was unknowingly spawned in with mega city. it also destroys and grows over a part of the bridge. slone is also revealed to be alive in the jungle. the peace syndicate keep fighting kado + the ageless. slone and jones make up, and kados time machine is destroyed by evie.)
- c3s4 paradise (all the while, the herald has been making her way to the island. the chrome comes and spreads around the island, and the the zero point has very little energy to fend it off. the peace syndicate and kado + the ageless have a truce to focus on the herald and her chrome. fracture never happens, but instead, the herald spreads her chrome over part of the overgrown bridge, disintegrates it, and reveals the last reality on the other side. the cube queen makes her way to the chapter 3 island with her army of sideways monsters and aliens.
this season wouldve also been around halloween so we couldve gotten the chrome zombies that epic had originally planned.)
- c3s9 reality war (this season would only last a month. the last reality, aliens, and chrome are all on the island, and all hope is diminishing. with the last of the zero points energy, it tries to hold the evils off but they keep growing in size and getting closer and closer to it. eventually, the heroes realize that the only thing left to do is to overload the zero point. the time machine is salvaged and put on a detonation timer that flashes through several dates - c1s3, c2s1, and c3s1. the finale of fortnite chapter 3 begins. the last reality and the herald give all of their might to conquer the zero point, and just barely before they can reach it, the time machine is thrown into the zero point where its detonation timer runs out. simultaneously, zero fusion is also activated. the zero point is overloaded, and all reality is destroyedâŠatleast for now.)
a new version of chapter 4 could consist of an island that contains pois from c1s3, c2s1, and c3s1. there is no exact time and date, the zero point has gone missing (like how it isnt present in our chapter rn), and everything seems to be peaceful. characters that we have seen before come back, but are remixed (like the ones from the season x battlepass). i dont know what would happen next, but over time it could explain what happened to the zero point, the herald, and the last reality.
i didnt realize i typed that much, holy shit đ
@@stanloonaguys_ nice... I had a few theories myself (mainly concepts lol) that I wish they pulled off...
1. During the Collision event, what if when the Collider attempts to destroy the Zero Point, it reacts and creates a huge explosion, creating a giant crater through the map. Players would be able to skydive onto the other side (like Jones did). Players would spawn on either the chapter 2 side or the chapter 3 side with separate battle buses, and the storm would pull towards the center until it stopped at a Late Game-ish size.
2. When the Foundation statue was destroyed, what if the Chrome reached it and transformed the upper half into something new. The Herald, the Cube Queen, Geno, idk some member of the Last Reality.
3. When all the POI's were being lifted in the air, what if they were tethered together by ziplines, and all the POI's No Sweat Insurance was protecting would drift away and land on the Chapter 4 island.
Fingers crossed Epic doesn't think chapter 3 is "not OG enough" if they ever decide to bring it back... One of the best maps for sure...
Honestly during Fortnite OG, I thought Fortnite was BACK. I thought they were fully invested into the community and wanted to bring back what Fortnite was a long time ago. But with Chapter 5 Season 2, I realized that they are going a completely different direction and it's one of the reasons I'm not going to be spending anymore money on the game. This isn't the Fortnite we all know.
Especially when they brought back Jones and alone in voice lines then just ditched them again
yeah the season is getting stale
I used to love understanding the story and trying to predict things about it. Now it's like no one even cares since there isn't much going on in the story its all over the place and has no flow or continuity. I only get on to make content, do challenges, play ranked, or play some festival. Lego was fun the first week haven't touched it since. Rocket Racing is really mid and super annoying once you pass diamond. I don't even recognize the game anymore everything that made the game special has slowly been stripped away. It is a shell of what it once was. The heart and soul of Fortnite is missing. Something has to change and bring that spark back that magic that the game used to have. I still play and enjoy it sometimes don't get me wrong but with every new season I log in and enjoy it for a bit and then always feel like something is missing.

Something I learned from MaximillionDood, "a company is willing to drop a core fan base for an even bigger one."
From what I can tell Epic is looking for ways to evolve itself to remain relevant. Even if it's at the cost of it's core fan base.
kids...
This is how us og save the world players felt for years. Ive long dropped the idea of hoping fortnite will ever be exactly what i want it to be. It is always changing. The devs are almost never allocated to what you wish they were prioritizing. I was pretty frustrated that save the world wasnt getting worked on like it used to be. But ive learned to love fortnite for how much it changes.
I used to love playing Save The World, it was one of the most fun PVE games I have played. Once I realized that itâs never getting any real updates ever again, I was sad to see the potential of it wasted.
Stw added life into the br, the storm, the graphics, the way the buildings looked. I was really disappointed when they gave up on stw because that was the games roots.
I also find it sad that I hear people considering stepping away from the game. My best friend's kid who got me playing says he's not playing anymore because it has changed too much. I remember he was excited for Lego but got bored with it. He loved all the creative games... and dragged me through a bunch (I only have a few favorites there). Then he had drama with his friends who also played with me and with him and them gone... I don't feel like playing like I had. The kid and I first played in Chapter 2 Season 3 and he had been hooked at the Marvel season and I was able to join him in season 7. I loved the UFO season and I have so many memories. My first 100 solo victory royales I uploaded to CZcams to share with him and other friends.
But even with the change on my side, losing the person who got me into the game, friends and their kids have just started playing and they like playing with me. That new generation is coming aboard. They ask me questions like I am an OG. I am seeing them explore creative (and try to drag me through those horrid copies of copies)... but through it all... I am the only one who seems to care about Festival! Rocket Racing I lose too much to have fun and Legozzzzzzzz... sorry... it got boring after a while and everyone I played with stopped playing it.
But I do wish Fortnite would focus on its original content like the music packs. I loved the stuff the K.O.G. and the various composers Epic produced. Now it seems we see them only in the battle pass, in collabs, or FNCS time. We don't have music packs that are remixes of those original music emotes. All they care about now are tiktok dances. Every emote is icon or Festival instrument related, unless a collab. They have thrown a couple original ones but they're not like the old ones. I wish they'd bring back the handful of old music packs that haven't been seen in over a year or two. I didn't experience the Chapter 1 days but I swear the music and emotes from then helped give Fortnite its identity and now they're jumping on outside bandwagons instead of themselves setting the tone. Go back and listen to those music packs and old emotes and tell me the identifiable Fortnite sound isn't missing. It's like how Motown had the mid-60s on lock but started to fade once they took influence from outside the company and they lost their sound and their top spots.
Well said bro, maybe I should do a video covering the music of Fortnite. That was hands down one of the most important elements that set the tone for chapter 1's seasons. I feel like music is more disconnected from Fortnite since we have so many trendy songs and emotes put into the game now. Great comment you gave me a lot to think about!
So your friend quit because he got bored of Lego Fortnite which isn't even fully finished along with the two other modes?
@Miloporo no he quit because he said the game changed too much and he and his friends had a falling out where they don't play together anymore. He was excited for this season too but now he says he doesn't care. All he plays now is Left 4 Dead 2 which is what he was playing before Fortnite. I don't think the new modes is what he was referring to as he liked Lego but just got bored, but some of the changes in BR.
@@Cadeho3 So he quit a game that is constantly being updated and started playing a 10 year old game that doesn't get updated at all? Your friend is pretty weird.
@Miloporo and he wonders why I don't play L4D2 with him anymore... it got really stale because it doesn't change. Instead he likes doing speed runs and glitches now. Fortnite change was inevitable... it has constantly changed and it was driven by the story. How can they justify the changes now without a story. Obviously there still is one, but it can be so much better.
11:57 I wish I was him. I felt that for the first time in chapter 2 season 2, 5 seasons after I started.
Donalds interview hit me, and so did this amazing video. Im considering quitting fortnite for these reasons you said. Ihope one day the magic will return, and my love to the game with it.

Fortnite has pretty much become roblox

To be honest, I think these modes shouldâve just never been made at all. Epic shouldâve stayed developing battle royale, and let the community use creative and UEFN to make these secondary modes
Most people just create those red vs blue, zone wars etc...
@@Miloporo and those types of maps still get more players than rocket racing
@@Underseacorn Of course when there are kids that only play battle royale and some red vs blue and zone wars maps.
@@Miloporo Iâm just saying I donât think trading live events and a good storyline for these extra modes was worth it. Lego and festival are fine modes, but definitely not rocket racing, we couldâve done without it
i think fortnite should have made the gammodes, but not let them take over
I get what Klarque is saying when he says that it's our turn to miss the old fortnite- but this is over the top in my opinion.. I remember the big change in fortnite with fishing coming out, boats, and a lot of more stuff. That's around when I started playing- and I LOVED it. The thing is is that it still had some of fortnites core in it. With this most recent big change- there's none of fortnites core at all. Can't we all see that Fortnite has the gun pointed at themselves..?

Ever since Disney invested into Epic games Fortnite has declined and the focus is pure profit without a care for the game or community.
Na. This started LONG before Disney.
Chapter 2 started the obsession with collabs and creative mode.
Chapter 4 started the drastic move towards realism and killing BR by showing it very little love because they wanted us to play Creative 2.0 instead.
Epic is a mega corporation. Mustard was having to fight against Sweeney the entire time.
As soon as Mustard left, all the bad moves started to triple. Especially the realism.
@@John6-40 creative was not made in chapter 2. And also, creative wasn't ruining anything until creative 2.0 And even when 2.0 was released, that wasn't the problem
@@domosconfused3828 I didn't say Creative started in Chapter 2. I said that's when the obsession with Creative started. That's when Epic changed the menu to feature Creative more prominently and also when they started to promote and push Creative HARD.
Of course Creative "isn't the problem". It's just a symptom of the problem, which is Epic's greed and insistence on a metaverse and Fortnite being an "all-in-one" game.
Bro is talking about all the wrong things. Disney ainât doing this.
@@zakimaster4928 Disney literally just bought a piece of Epic. The things that are ruining Fortnite have been brewing for YEARS.

yep, if only this fucking shit creative differences happened during ch3 s3, then I would still enjoy chapter 3 and the skins will look like their concept arts (or maybe I hopefully think era will be looking like her conecpt art without the creepy anime ass face and simlar to ingame one and some parts simlar aswell, and hopefully her set will improve and lobby track still here...)
YOU
There have been 3 Fortnite's:
1. Full Donald Mustard Fortnite (Chapter 1)
2. Epic fighting against Donald (Chapter 2 and 3). This is when Epic was pushing many Changes, but Donald still had say.
3. Full blown corporate greed and post Donald mode (Chapter 4 and 5).
Now the reasons for the decline are clear.
After Donald, the art style died. The game started drastically moving towards realism. No live events at all.
Heck, they outright tell us they want BR to just be one of the games now lol.
Donald was our last hope.
The "was" in this comment hit hard. He was our last hope. No turning back. It's a bit like the Kanye arc. 2002-2008 he was producing class, soulful music. 2009-2021 he was more experimental, but had some great music and albums. 2022-present, it just aint the same, he's filled with greed, hate and overall just not the same. I miss old kanye and ond fortnite.
@@Sh1baa_ I'm not a Kanye fan, but I can relate. For me, it'd be mainstream rock and roll.
In the 70's through the 90's, rock was king of the music scene. Then in the 00's, rock was dying, but still had a presence with bands like Creed, Puddle of Mudd, Seether, Shinedown, Nickelback, Crossfade, Emo bands, etc.
Now mainstream rock is pretty much dead.
I miss rock and I miss old Fortnite. đą
@@John6-40 Agreed. Similarly, I'm not a rock guy, but i can relate
@jackmaher2326 Not many young people listen to anything other than rap, or maybe pop or country these days.
Hence why mainstream rock is dead.
Gen X was all about individuality and being different from the crowd. In the 90', every type of music was mainstream. Rock, rap, pop, folk, reggae, punk, ska, R&B, techno, etc.
The internet and social media changed that and now the thing is to be the same as everyone else, to fit in.
That's just how things went.
Donât think chapter 2 was epic fighting against Donald, he said he loved chapter 2 and thats when the story was at its peak
Bro just described âitâs just a gameâ in 13 minutes and it worked
Me and majority of my friends quit during Paradise and that was the first season without Mustard. If that doesnt say a lot then idk what does. Although i came back for last resort and og and play this seaspn every now and then, it still doesnt feel the same.
Im glad you were able to see that you can be wrong at times; that takes courage and humility. Love the video †please keep it up this is great đ
When was the last time we had a "wacky goofy" weapon or item asside from collabs and OG, items like the ripsaw launcher, rocket ram and explosive goo gun kept the games feeling of cartoonyness, the only goofy item i could quailfy would be the god banana and that saddens me
Lighting and wings?
Truly an amazing video and I loved how you explained everything I was thinking but I never really said out loud. Thankyou đȘđ»đđ»
I still remember how cool the car update back in Chapter 2, Season 3 was. It was really cool that they added a variety of cars to the game
Hopefully soon Epic can find a balance between the metaverse and battle royale. Although I donât think we can ever really achieve what Fortnite was during 2017-2022, if we come close enough hopefully then we can all appreciate that games evolve and nothing stays the same forever. Great video Klarque!!!!
Ive come to appreciate your takes on these as youre more frank with it
This is honestly what makes me more and more pumped about the newest features coming out in UEFN. People are gonna be able to create there own stories in Fortnite and not have to always rely on Epic to stay there for it. Custom Weapons, Custom UI, Big Maps, and all these features that Fortnite is bringing/has in the game is gonna create the biggest wave of gaming on Fortnite we've ever seen! From OG remakes to brand new and creative ideas, the game is gonna be at a new peak in just a year or two I believe. It's sad to see the downword spiral of live events and story in BR, but people can make their own story and Trimix proved that even right now, you can make live events that can rival what Epic Games have been doing! I'm pumped and a little sad about this new chapter which is requiring major change.
I think the moment they started laying off employees and moving resources into more of creative 2.0 and separate gamemodes was the slow start to it's decline (I love the other gamemodes as well as BR, I just miss the storyline/events that came with it, I feel like if we brought back 1.5 - 2 year chapters back, it could give them more time to not just focus on gameplay and start including more story/events again)
I think I'm mostly done with Fortnite, it's not the game I fell in love with anymore and it doesn't seem like it could be that game again, I can't even think about it without feeling sad about what was lost
I sensed the change chapter 2 season 3, thatâs when the storyline actually started to become less cohesive, and collabs became much more common
bro please put that stuff about the stw to br to metaverse stuff at the start, or do a whole video or short on it, that's what the community needs to hear, but they aint functional enough in the head to watch that far

Great video Klarque you really out did your self with this one and you have inproved a lot since even just late 2023.
IDK. I don't really mind the direction FN is going. I came for Battle Royale, and Chapter 5 is extremely enjoyable. Everything else is just in the background for me. I'm done with Fortnite once the Battle Royale isn't fun anymore.
Fortnite should've taken Chapter 5 as a chance to completely restart everything about BR. No previous story, no previous characters. Create something entirely new with their new CCO. They *almost* fully restarted.
It would be weird to do that with what they did with the seven in chapter 3 and four we literally had them disappear in three and in chapter 4 we were sending someone forgot her name to find them and then kind of just throw that away
my biggest issue is them getting rid and changing stuff that doesnt need to be changed. the locker, item shop, battle pass, rarities, item shop cycles, no original character, etc
as much as i dislike the choices epic made these last two years i will stay too see it throught to the end, hopefully epic will learn from their mistakes and make this game better.

4:58 I did not expect to see that picture đđ
Tbh, Festival and Lego have been the only things bringing me back to Fortnite since the start of this season. I'm glad that there is more to do in Fortnite, but I wish I could enjoy BR the way I did in chapter 2 and 3.
This is why sequels are sometimes good, you still get to enjoy the game you came for if you don't like the new one. They could've done that for Chapters 1 & 2, I'm sure it'd have a pretty big player base and they can technically do it as a separate mode alongside the other ones.
Imo the idea to have a lot of different games in one is awesome, but it's just not worth it in this case. They're dedicating so many resources to develop these new modes when they'll never come close to the popularity BR has & it ultimately won't pay off in the long run. Heck, STW, basically a discontinued mode, gets more players than RR & even Festival sometimes, both of which are the "actual focus". RR now has lower numbers than Team Rumble and that's just sad. I wish they'd actually invest some of those resources into STW considering it gets more players than the "must succeed" modes even in its current discontinued state.
This gives me hope
Donald did live events right, i loved them all, until we got to the og event and chapter 4 events, in those i just said "is that it?"
Resistance (C3:S2) was the last good season in Fortnite for me, I don't know if everyone agrees with that
I agree the only season that i liked after that was the OG season
@@Rickydickydodahgrimes. Same
Personally, I can still have a lot of fun playing Fortnite, despite the unnecessary changes. Especially since I have my younger cousins to thank for fully getting me into the game. And soon, it'll be my 1-year anniversary playing Fortnite. I can't relate to you or anyone that has played Fortnite either from the very beginning or during Chapter 2. But throughout my time playing Chapter 4, that was the high point for me. Especially Chapter 4, Season 4. And to go from a 1-month season bringing back Chapter 1 to a new Chapter that's wildly different from previous chapters is something I really didn't expect. Like I said before in one of your livestreams, I don't think Fortnite has lost its identity for the most part, but there are a bunch of missing things that makes Fortnite. Hopefully there's a good ending to all of this. And I'll still continue to stick with you & your content, because in my opinion, you're one of the best when it comes to making Fortnite content.
Imagine if they made more changes throughout seasons and live events every season, that would be amazing, I remember being so hyped for every season back in the day and counting down to when I can hop on and then all the mid season changes. Now it just feels so minimal. We got the Ancient Greek POIs and then nothing happened. I tried playing other modes but its just not fun for extended periods of time
I'll basically throw out my thoughts
Fortnite is in a pretty decent state but all the other modes especially rocket racing are in kind of in a dire situation which RR definitely needs more time in the oven
And since Psyonix basically stopped caring about RL just Just move forward with RR it's kind of a slap in the face from a person that used to play RL a lot back in the day
And no the other game modes we have rn does not take away the focus of of either BR or Zero Build
I agree. I less look at FN as a whole, and just think about it like a bubble. I'm in the BR bubble because that's what I love, and I feel like its in an amazing state right now.

Iâm not gonna lie, I got quite emotional watching this video. The storyline was always the main draw to Fortnite for me, and I absolutely loved everything they did through Chapter 3 Season 2. Then Season 4 came around, and it all started going downhill. I could tell something was off, that the game had lost direction, but I held onto hope for as long as I could, not wanting to see this thing I had become so invested in fail. Say what you will about Chapter 4âs storytelling, but I believed there were still some solid plot points they were starting and continuing throughout it. The Chapterâs story wasnât necessarily good, but I thought it was definitely salvageable. Then OG came around, and thatâs when I finally started to give up hope. We still got our weekly story quests throughout the season, but they seemed quite lackluster and bare bones, just doing the bare minimum to build up to the live event. Then the event happened, and there was next to no story content in it whatsoever. It was just a big advertisement for the upcoming modes, and by the end of it the storyline was apparently just hard reset. I did gain a tiny bit of hope that with the reset Chapter 5 would give us a fresh new direction for the story, but so far itâs just been more very lackluster random bs. They tried bringing back Midas (even though that makes absolutely no sense if the story was supposed to be reset) to get older fans of the story on board, and at first it worked. But since then thatâs all just been replaced by the Avatar collab (which I am actually loving as a fan of the series, to be fair) and itâs become very obvious that not only do they not have a direction for the gameâs story, they donât care enough to get one. They think they can just keep coasting by, pulling whatever random new season theme out of their ass and occasionally throwing us a bone like the Midas event, and theyâll continue to be successful. And maybe theyâre right, maybe the lack of a solid story isnât really hurting their player counts or their profits. But itâs hurting me, and Iâm getting really tired of pretending it isnât. I donât plan on quitting the game (not after the obscene amount of money Iâve put into my account) but I donât think Iâll ever be as invested as I was, not unless a big change happens at Epic and they turn this thing around. Whatever happens, Iâll always be glad Donald was able to give us those amazing experiences and memories from the glory days of Fortniteâs story. Iâll always be able to look back on the amazing characters and plot of the first few chapters, and have closure knowing that we were given the finale he had been building towards, even if we didnât know it at the time. So thank you Donald Mustard, for one of the greatest experiences Iâve ever been a part of. I can only hope you continue to bring about such amazing things wherever you may find yourself going forward.
Things need to evolve thatâs just part of life and if you donât enjoy it anymore thatâs ok just move on and find something you enjoy more nowadays
Yeah, i think im done with fortnite. The storyline was what kept me going back atter that. What's the point
This is such a good video man I agree with almost everything your saying Iâve been playing this game since the beginning and I have been a bit on edge abt recent changes as of anyone with anything they love. Change is scary and thatâs exactly whatâs going on here and at the end of the day epic doesnât want to kill their game like you said they want to expand their audience and itâs such a beautiful thing to see that last seen with the little kid getting his what I assume first win in Fortnite, then flashing to the two guys getting their win back in chapter 1. Itâs beautiful to see that core memories are being made for that kid and many others will remember that for a very long time as I do. Fortnite is great this video is amazing.
Fun fact those two guys were me and my homie lol That was our first duo win ever lmao!
Hello I've been playing fortnite sense I was a little kid, and one thing that I would love to do in the future is make stories, my own characters, and inspire them, but when fortnite got their comics with Batman and marvel I was extremely excited because I thought with all these crossovers they'll get their own comics, become independent and we don't just see the main storyline within fortnite but also other characters as well, mention how cool it will be if there's a fortnite comic book called "Fortnite Loopers" the explain that how did each character in the game made it onto the island and it would be cooler to see what characters is part of what reality is well, because fortnite is filled with so many characters that have the potential to have their own stories, the potential is there... I hope it's eventually come back around sooner or later, for now it's up to us to make your own stories write our own scenes make what we want to make, if it is with fortnite's characters or our own characters.
For anyone who took the time to read this thank you, I'm just really passionate about storytelling and all that stuff. :)
I just feel that UEFN was such a massive dissapointment to what it could've been. It should've been to fortnite like Redstone/Command Blocks were to Minecraft, like Forge to Halo.
UEFN could've brought out some genuine talent and passion from the community to where they could've extended the life span of fortnite with their own Battle Royale remixes and custom games, hell even spawining some sub communitys too... But unfortunately its just used for monetary trend chasing gain with red vs blue maps and box fights...
the fact that save the world (the mode that stopped getting major updates 4 years ago, has repetitive gameplay, and is still behind a $20 paywall) has more players than rocket racing and almost as much as festival actually appalls me.
All they have to do is give STW a âchapter 2â - same basic idea but in a different part of the world, like birdbox barcelona. just make it so that you dont have to play through stonewood to twine peaks to unlock it.
Very well said honestly...i started way back in chapter 1 season 2 everything was fresh and exciting, made a lot of memories but as soon as i noticed those big changes i kinda realised that it will slowly lose its own originality...i really cant hate on it i still love it and will still play it but its like they something that made the game look faceless, there is nothing bad with a collab but they put too much stuff in there way to much, ofc this is a personal opinion from a kid that started early with the game. There are 2 things i am sure of tho, first is that this game wont die and second is that we as a community can somehow change their mind a little bit and get our game's originality back, at least i hope so and having hope is a great thing honestly.
This was a really interesting and great perspective on this. I only recently got into Fortnite, with the new gamemodes finally pushing me to give the game a try, and I love it. It wasn't too long before I did my research and found out more about Fortnite's history that I learnt more about the story and live events. Ultimately, I enjoy Fortnite as it is now, and I hope it continues to thrive into the future.
Glad you're enjoying it fam!
I subscribed because I'm gonna stick around for the journey
honestly I just wish because they're trying to gain a newer audience or just drag more people into the game they'd fix the bp system so that newer players could get old cosmetics / emotes since they want a bigger player base
I'll stick around for a bit longer but it definitely depends on what they do. New game modes are fine. But the strange practices and alterations like removing rarity, more passes that are more expensive than the BR ones and have less in em, the locker UI, etc is kinda what's turning me off from playing. That said, it's free so I'll continue to play until it's no longer free or available.
I started to play fortnite for the story, Now i feel as though I cant play it.
I think when Mr Donald spoke on when he left itâs not that the metaverse was a problem but it was the changes of getting rid of live events and making changes no one asked for and then we want something changed weâre not herd or just told to deal with it thatâs just sad
I think their goal is to in general use these games as a way to simply promote their "find it in fortnite" br will continue to have its story but it only be one game out of the thousands you can play. They want the new games to show that fortnite is more than just a shooting game and can be a platform( as we already know they are adding profiles and following soon) which is why they changed it from fortnite chapter 5 to battle royale chapter 5 when it comes to promoting
I think part of the find it in fortnite failing is due to the release timing. I mean they launched during the break making it so it was empty. Also rocket racing needs an item mode for fun. Yeah it would basically be a Mario kart clone but it would still be better and fun. Lego is getting better and festival is in a good spot. Also I think they should of lumped save the world into find it in fortnite as itâs a huge mode that is a good thing to advertise due to how much stuff is in the mode.
Now all the stuff with Geno and The Nothing makes sense
How is that your conclusion here? What this really means is that now they will never make sense, as the game has had no solid direction for years and everything great about the story has been abandoned. Weâre never getting answers to any of the mysteries surrounding the Nothing, the Shapeless Man, the Last Reality, or the fates of Geno, the Seven, Slone, etc.
Fortnite started to decline after Ch3 S2, where problems with the storyline, the cut in half of Ch3 which it's confirmed should have lasted 1 more year in Epic plans, and the "METAVERSE" started with the announce of Creative 2.0(UEFN).
bro how is this game gonna fail when there are people doing the Default dance on the streets
as somone who got intrested to fortnite for stw i understand the br comunity anger i loved the pvp (br) with the building mechanic imo the metaverse isn't the issue it's the lack of conductive line that could've been done thru stw artstyle and identity to keep the original look of fortnite, also the stw devs had a clear project with different modes that used guns heroes and builds unfortunatly they got cut off by tim, and i loved donald storyline i even got my headcanon of stw storyline taht take the seven vs i.O in stw universe.
In my opinion the heads of epic games are the main problem here people sometimes blame the new director when itâs the exact opposite since epic saw the amount of money that Fortnite can make I guess they started to make shitty excuses of removing things like rarities just to charge us more with skins and battle passes epic games is pretty much ruining the new directors process again this is just my opinion
Whats even more sad is that the new director hasnât even started making his vision of what the game should be yet. There over here making all these decisions itâs so messed up
Theyâre holding Charlie Wen back, I can feel it.
@@DeterminedTorres mmmhmm
9:38 I got a fortnite Lego Star Wars ad heređđ
Festival mode is the fortnite I fell in love withđâ€
Would've been pretty cool if last season was a live event rescuing peely
Fr. I thought thatâs what they were gonna go with but no. They just concluded everything off screen
I love festival and hope they focus a little bit more on it but I dont care about rocket racing and lego and only play zero build and i'm sad the storyline is now non existent and no more event :(
For every good decision epic makes (making a mini live events to teas a new season, bringing back ltms etc.) they make another 3 bad decisions (wasting money on new modes, new ui etc.)
12:10 that kind of made me cry, ngl
This was the comment I've been waiting for. W lol
I would love to see you play some other stuff!
Although the live events were awesome, I understand why so much dev time for something that last 10-20 min is unsustainable.
There are no live events anymore
I just have it for the events and trailers for new seasons
What is the name of the mic arm đź
My only hope is that epic will actually let charlie wen do what he wants with the story
the story's basically just there to have the seasons make a slight bit of sense now, its most likely not gonna go anywhere sadly
I started playing at the beginning of chapter 5 season 1 I feel like I missed out on Fortniteâs prime đ
trust me as a chapter 1 player the best time ever playing the game is within the first 6 months of starting out. Enjoy these days before theyre gone bro
I honestly gave up on epic games realizing theyâre making mistakes during and after ch2. I love fortnite and the memories i have from ch1 and 2, but i genuinely canât wait until this game dies and see if epic games realizes too late or they die with their idiot ideologies.
As someone who grinded every battlepass (except Primal) and every challenge for free items, This was the season I found myself overwhelmed by the amount of different stuff they keep adding to the games and it turned me away from the game since itâs clear everything is about the metaverse money now and and BR is suffering with mediocre storylines and collab mythics flooding the lootpool. I just want Ch1-Ch3 Fortnite back.
In my opinion, Find it In Fortnite is whatâs ruining fortnite
i think they just legit need to drop rocket racing, the festival team (harmonix) can keep doing what theyâre doing, and epic should focus on br and lego
Fortnite OG and Myths & Mortals were the things that brought my interest back to Fortnite. The former is because it helps me relive the old days of the Chapter, while the latter is because I saw potential for Fortnite to create good storytelling again, and from some of the Oracle's dialogue, I thought that would be the case
But seeing how utterly lackluster and boring the supposed ending to the Myths & Mortals storyline about Zeus vs humanity was the last straw. I was expecting an amazing live event like Collision instead of quest missions, and I've given up hope that Fortnite would return back to its glory days
I dont get it. Fortnite saw their success with OG Fortniteand it was all because of BR. Now they turn a blind eye on it and focus on stuipid crap like Racing or Disney? its like they tryna cause their own downfall
i'm still hoping that Charlie Wen can make a great storyline with Fortnite
Epic has been failing at fortnite since chapter 3 start. And there is no way anyone couldnt see if you played for some time..
Fortnite events made people gather together and it even brought more people to the scene đą
Makes me sad we lost the thunderbolt, chains, and wings. I only like airbending and soon we will get star wars and probably nothing original.
That being said I don't think find it in fortnite has failed. I am not a fan of fall guys or rocket league but I love lego irl, and festival has been a really nice change, i love that mode. I really don't like the rating system. The game has a teen rating, but implementing further ratings to take away from my purchases I made years ago is ridiculous. Not to mention the blacklisted collabs because of image and reputation of endorsing people/things that went sideways. Soon we won't have any movie or music collabs because of all the court cases. They are trying to walk a fine line to appeal to parents, gamers, and now brands/collabs/media. I feel find it in fortnite is just beginning, the disney collab is years away and also in the works. I'm excited but also dreading what will happen next
The game's still great, but the problem is that it is not being as great as it could be. Also, if it was made under Mustard's command it'd be totally better, we can see how the Impostors LTM and Zero Build were added to the game and see a clear difference.
