But now, enough is enough. It's time Brahmin and non-brahmin join together and develop this country. Together we are first.
One cannot be a brahmin by birth. Guna or quality is shaped by past karma (sri krishna in Baghavad Gita). it is the law of nature.

Brahmins are ready to work with non-brahmins, but the billion dollar question is will the Dravidian parties allow them to join hands? Someone is identified with a name Brahmin, the other one who is identified by Geeta or varnashramadharma as Sudra is not identified with the same name but with a 'no-meaning' name called "non-brhamin". There was no anyone like non-brahmin lived on this earth but they hiding their Sudra name under the umbrella of "non-brhamin". This helps them to collect casteless Dalits to oppose Brahmins.

I was a Poor Brahmin with not much money to study or even buy toys. The issue is since we are Brahmins no one helped us. Neither Government nor neighbors. We worked hard, studied hard. Because even if you are poor Brahmin you have to score 98 -100 % else you will not get merit quota and then have to do Diploma or BA etc. Even for that u need money.
I studied in distance education due to low fees, travelled in bus searchin job for 2 years and got job for 2000 rs pm. I know 70 % of Brahmins are living like this. Many poor Gurukkuls in my hometown sit outside temple begging for food.

@@sim131990 Firstly there are few in Chennai itself outside Ayodhya mandapam occasionally and some near Sankara Mutt Gowshala in Mambalam. Others I regularly see near the Swamimalai temple or the nearby Brahmin community halls where they wait for free food after some event is over.
Great thought of helping them. You are all beautiful human beings.
I want to help them as well. Contact me if you know any poor kids looking for help who goes to Govt school. I am not ready to help poor kids who wants to go to private school.

There are many Brahmins who have done good service to the Tamil culture, Tamil language, heritage, music etc. There are many Brahmins who have designed many Govt projects which are helping people.
But still they are the most abused people in Movies and books. Almost every movie they show Brahmin ladies as items and Gents as Weak people.
Has this been done to any other community or Caste in movies? Isnt this discrimination? Does all other communities and caste love each other?
First the portrayal of Brahmin ladies in movies needs to be corrected. Society needs to change.

What I was trying to convey in my previous comment was the Brahmin ladies are depicted in that manner the main reason is the some of the ladies themselves don’t hesitate to do that also. This happens bcoz the directors of the films who are Brahmins also don’t mind in doing that. This is what I wanted to convey. And moreover there is no need for me to change the topic. Mind it. These depictions of ladies continue to happen everywhere in every community not because they wanted to depict it in that manner but bcoz those intimate scenes will reach further. Thats it
Dear sir, Brahmins may utilised Rural Quota - Reservation and the First graduation Quota of a family. I hope in both reservation comes nealy 20 +25 = 45 % 0f Reservation to all Communities whether economically or Socially Backward in all castes of Tamilnadu.

Yes. We understand pain of untouchability. But brahmins did not create it.. no single group can set trends for a whole people for 2000 years. Understand this first. Periyar and other dogs were against brahmins because brahmins got jobs in british govt and started to dominate. Before that, it was periyars caste ppl, the naicker, who were ruling TN. That's why they got so very angry, added to the fact that they were powerless against the british. The british christian missionaries spun stories about brahmins and hindu gods in the 19th century. Ramasamy naikar simply borrowed the proseletyzing work of the christian missionaries of the previous centuries. he knew that to win in a democratic election, he needed to first create a powerful enemy, and then act like destroying him. Pazha karupiah has recently said that when he first met periyar, periyar asked for his caste only.
