Music: "Cold" by Anthony Lazaro - Zábava
Best Audiophile software.
The Apps are just “remotes”? Music data travels from Core to the Roon ready players directly?
My parents have Sonos and it's been k but will that work and also be able to play on a pair of devialet phantoms and play the same music?
So how does it handle my vinyl collection? No mention of that!😂
Does anyone know if I want a headless Roon Ubuntu Linux Server (virtual machine) if I need to have both Bridge and Roon Server? Or how does that work?
Can you play your own personal library that you own on your cellphone? Thats not attached to any streaming services like spotify or tidal etc.
Yes! Roon ARC is the mobile app that lets you do that. Check out this video: czcams.com/video/c_KF2kqETL8/video.html

Audiophile subreddit brought me here...

You had me until I saw the names Tommy and Eric beside Ace and Peter. Unacceptable for an audio company. :)
Unfortunately Roon is too expensive for me. As a such it has the potential to serve the elite but not the average guy. Sorry, but it seems the digital revolution is now separating people in classes again...
It wasn't the expense for me, it was the constant tinkering and bug fixing, it's basically an ongoing experiment that you have to pay to be a part of. Roon is for people who love solving IT problems, and that's not me.
First off if you are playing in the audiophile arena there is no such thing as the average guy, second you are seemingly on the internet, so you have a connection and a device and you can’t be hurting too bad, finally if you are the average guy why bother with something like Roon? You really need to be using source files (flac etc) not compressed downloads, which are going to cost you as well.
