I love how the flames ise the Altanta Flames logo as the A for Alternate Captains

Yeah they could also use their regular logo for captain but that would probably look a bit weird

The Black blasty jersey was the reason I liked the Flames as a kid and is still one of my favourite jerseys to this day

There's a rumour that the Flames will go back to the retro home and away jerseys full time as soon as next year. That would be great as they are some of the best jerseys in the league.
They said the same thing with the senators throwback jerseys, the black/red/beige striped jerseys.
Instead we kept the same ones and ruined the throwback jersey by changing the colors to mostly red, white and for some reason a silver stripe and logo. Silver has NEVER been a Sens color.
I grew up in Calgary and I hope they follow through on that, those 80s jerseys are super nice

I would be interested in a Blasty jersey with the flipped logo like he said, I wouldn't want it to be a mainstay but a few games wouldn't hurt, the Penguins current jerseys are really nice and I kinda picture it like that

Slight correction: Blasty was the primary away jersey for a while, not the primary home jersey. It was back when teams wore white at home.

The mid-90's era Flames jersey wasn't one of my favourites considering I live in the Calgary area. The diagonal stripe was useless in my opinion. I heard from some people that it meant 'Progress'. Yeah right. The way it stopped at the flaming C meant early playoff exit or no playoffs.
Others have mentioned it but the script 'Calgary'' jersey with the radically different shoulder patch was omitted.
The jersey history video series has been awesome so far. I think the flames should go back to their original design for both their home and away jerseys.

I really like those diagonal stripes jerseys from the 90s, the white looks alot better than the dark but I actually think it's a nice jersey
And I hated the Horsehead logo but the jersey itself was cool

When they stitched the Alberta flag on the shoulder then I was convinced beyond shadow of doubt they had the best jerseys in the nhl!

I like the 06-07 home jerseys the most.
I quite like Blasty the horse on the shoulders, the flags are a bit, well, high horsed.

The Abbotsford Heat was a missed opportunity when they could have just been called flames and resurrected those Atlanta jerseys
I remember them playing a pre season game many years ago with the black jersey with the red c logo and numbers,deemed not tv friendly form NHL and never seen again until the horse with white numbers on the back came out a few years later

Of course I'm going to say that the originals and retro jerseys are the best ones for the Calgary Flames. Need to make those full-time. Don't know what they we're thinking on the pedestal jersey and blasty needs to return as a third jersey. Only one I didn't care for is the wrangler wordmark which wasn't shown.
Next season the Retro will be the home, the 2019 Heritage will be the Away, and a new version of Blasty will be the 3rd. Also, the '04 Red was the most popular/best selling jersey from 2003 through the lockout.

Since Shannon doesn't have any names on his Flames jerseys, Calgary's Assistant/Alternate Captains actually use the old Atlanta logo instead of a standard "A"
I dont think the blastie one is ugly but it just doesnt look right. A flames jersey with a horsehead feels kinda random and out of left field. The black looks nice and the stripes arent bad but the logo is weird. If they had just put their normal logo there it would be one of my favourites.

The 2004 SC run jerseys were their best look honestly.

Our 2004 reds to the Reebok reds was a huge downgrade. Don’t know why Reebok has an obsession with piping. I’m not a huge fan of the flags either.

I hate all of these Flames jerseys in black. Ever since the introduction of black into the flames color palette in the Germany jerseys, black has tarnished the jerseys. The current road jerseys aren't too offensive, but the current homes with the black C is the worst thing in my view.
The only black one that has ever been good was Blasty, because Blasty was so incredibly different that it was okay to do a radically different design. The black C doesn't work by contrast and nor does the black striping

Personally, I think the black logo looks sick. Also I’ve always hated how Calgary has an Alberta flag. I think that the Canada flag is odd, but it’s kinda whatever, but I don’t like when a team has the flag of their state/province when they’re not the only team there *@ Florida and Calgary*

I don't like that the Oilers don't have the flags, especially given the current state of affairs with Canadian oil.
They could not come up with a secondary logo with Flames and not look cheesy so they just went to flags.
Calgary originals are my favorite. The Flames name had to do with Atlanta being burned during the Civil War.

Its why the black flaming c was so popular lol it killed the horse and we got to the cup final. the cup final kinda cemented its status here as the worst of all our jerseys.

I watched the Calgary game tonight there, was good game. Sort of let it slip though but they looked good as did the new goaltender.
Haven't picked a team to support yet but think I'll watch the Calgary games this year.
