@@sulembape695 They learn English, but they tend to learn it from other people who don't really know English. Over some generations of learning, well, you get what you hear. Thick Indian accents with broken English that can sort of be understood by a native speaker of English, but not always. The Japanese sometimes do this too. They will get a native English speaker to teach a Japanese person English, then that Japanese person will teach other Japanese people English, and after some generations, you get something similar. It is always best to learn a language from a native speaker of that language. In the case of English, the best option would probably be an English person, but not from an area of England where they butcher the English language too much. The second best option would probably be an American person who is not from an area where they butcher the English language too much. I'm betting the scenarios that happen in India are relating to cost. I bet it costs a lot more to learn English from a native speaker of English than it is to learn English from a friend or family member or some Indian person.

As much as I agree with these call blasters towards scammers, someone did this to us at our work. I managed a call center for a bank here in the states. It took us 3 days to get the blaster to stop calling us. Moral of the story we found out who did it and got it stopped, the bank sued this guy for thousands of dollars because of the amount of money we Lost in business. I know Jim is doing the right thing but everyone Else please make sure you’re targeting actual scammers. It can cost you.

Speaking of banks, scammers got my passwords from Google. It is the only way they could have done so. Then, they drained my credit union account. Luckily, I checked the balance on the account and saw that all of the money was missing. The credit union told me the name of the bank, the account number and the name of the account holder. The scammers used a small bank to syphon the money to send through a Chime account. I contacted Chime. They flagged the account. The scammers closed the account before the money was deposited. So, they money came back to my account. Moral of the story. Google says that they are very secure but I know that the passwords that they store online as a backup are not safe. This is the only way they could have gotten my email addresses and passwords. DON'T STORE YOU PASSWORDS IN YOUR BROWSER. Keep them offline in document of your choosing.

Its all about awareness and being in the moment. When people are scared or nervous, they can't think straight. That's why scammers use scare tactics.

... technology still scares many millions of people, not just the elderly, because they've never been Properly trained or educated on how Technology works, or how it can be used against them. This isn't new, this was happening locally in the United States, when we only had Rotary telephones. But back then, most scammers were local, or located in the Continental U.S. 🤔
Scams and frauds used with modern Technology aren't familiar to the average user, just because people can surf and browse the Internet, or make and upload videos to Facebook, Instagram or TikTok, doesn't make a person an expert on how to avoid scams with modern technologies.

@@srreal4821 *"are you assuming you cant see them doing their jobs so therefore they arent doing anything"* I think the assumption is that whatever they are doing is not significant enough to stop the overwhelming amount of scamming going on. One would think relevant government entities would have enormous resources aimed at the problem, and we would see and hear far more about the results they were getting. As it is, I get *many calls per day* from these scammers, and I find it hard to believe that between the phone companies & branches of government tasked with protecting consumers, they have not - yet, at least - developed sophisticated technology to detect scam calls and track the scammers, particularly when we see people like Jim doing it as an individual.

I get 0 calls from scammers. I dont know your personal curcumstance, but completely 100% elimanting scammers is very difficult. Remember these scammers especially international scams affect US economy in terms of money leaving the country and whatnot. If the government is stringent enough on taxing every penny an american has, you bet your bottom dollar they are doing everything they can to "patch up bleeding money".
You do forget human scamming is adaptable. Meaning they adapt to whatever security systems placed to block them and get around it. Think all the systems we have in place right now and still it isnt enough. Considering the amount of illegal activities going around the US. The government is doing what it can systematically. I can imagine the amount of cases they have piled up and investigations they have to do with the limited personnel they have to do the job.

@Jesse Tate I'm going to have to agree with the two above me. He is doing something. He investigates and exposes. Not all of his work is just taking them done and forcing them to move around but also raising awareness. He has mentioned in the past that he makes these videos to also raise awareness. If you watched his 4 part spying on scammers series you would see him being the spark that got a BBC panorama episode and the police raid the call center and arrest those responsible. In addition to all the above, he does his best to report every scam call center that he encounters. He mentions this in quite a few other videos.
So Jesse Tate. I recommend you do your research on what someone actually does before mashing out factless attention seeking paragraph for some clout.

Yeah... It's harder for Ukrainians/Russians, we got local scammers that speak natural language. What's worse there are low-level staff in the banks and mobile providers that will gladly sell your details to the scammers so when you get a call they have your real name, real last digits of the card number and such to add to credibility. Got to dig much deeper into details to figure that you're getting scammed.

Single handedly? Nah, he had a friend help. Still hilarious though. Even if all they did was disable them for a few days, that's a few days they can't scam people. Every bit helps. I don't have the skills to do this kind of thing, but when I encounter scammers, I just waste as much of their time as I can. Talking in circles, asking dumb questions, pretending to not understand things. I used to get calls from ATO scammers saying I owed tax money. Same kind of thing except I assume they buy names and phone numbers off a third party instead of using dodgy URLs.
Tech scammers don't have a conscience. They don't have souls. They're not even really people in my eyes. More like a physical manifestation of indecency.

Nah, pay attention to what he uses to catch them. An above-board tech support call center isn't going to hijack a virtual machine and get caught by a key logger that gives an attacker their passwords. Their means of attack makes them vulnerable. A good cyber security expert would absolutely recommend against doing anything like that.
