  • Today we will be talking about one of the most dynamic and popular coffee grinders out there: The Wilfa Svart.
Wilfa’s popularity is no coincidence: Their reputation as one of the most useful pieces of equipment on the coffee bar is well-earned. As with other Wilfa coffee products, The Svart coffee grinder series were developed in conjunction with World Barista Champion and World Cup Tasters Champion Tim Wendelboe, and are compatible with a range of brewing methods to create a highly consistent grind.

The single biggest improvement I made to my coffee making process! Super uniform results and so easy to adjust and clean! Absolutely love my Svart!

    Why no noise comparisons?

Silver timer has about 5sec increments so there's is no option to grind in between. Also would have liked to hear noise comparison.

Big fan of my svart, but.... The container is absolutely not user friendly, coffee grind all over, not easy to scoop out, best not to clean with water, only vacuum

Very good review! But why the back-ground-music?

Which setting you think is more appropriate for a chemex? Towards the end of the the filter setting?

I was unfortunate enough to buy a Wilfa. It arrived broken (won't turn on) and their customer service is a shambles. They're now asking to verify the serial number, and prove (via video) that it in fact does not work. I was really excited about getting a Wilfa, and now I regret it. Worst way to spend £120 as I'm now stuck with a paperweight, and dealing with their slow customer service.

What about a troubleshooting video? And one on how to fix the grinder when it stops working? I've had two of these, but will never buy a Wilfa coffee grinder again. Flimsy stuff.

the Wilfa grinder has a weak motor, it is faulty by design. It stops in the middle of grinding. My solution is to start grinder before pouring in coffee beans. Then pour slowly and steadily, and everything is OK.

It only stops if you set the timer to do so or you haven't cleaned it.

Sounds like yours was DOA. Sadly, after 7 months of use, I also started experiencing this issue.

@@ObscenePizza I think it comes with a 5 year warranty?

@@jeff8ball I don't remember exactly. The shop I bought it from took 3 weeks to try to repair it and eventually refunded the full sum. Moved to the Sage Smart Grinder Pro.

Stupid design of the container, too much is spread out because of the distance inbetween the lid of the ground coffe and the mill itself, Also the lid, when y open it tends to flip down and alot of coffeee is spread all over the counter, not to mention the static electricity of the plstic material. I regret buying it!
