Them 65 Chevelle's are incredible.❤
Thanks for watching!
Same adapter I used for my 69 Camaro and 400 SBC block. My block has the boss but it isn't drilled and tapped, I had already installed the engine before finding this out. Thankfully they make that adapter.
Yes it’s a lifesaver. Thanks for watching.
I am currently in the process of converting my 65 Malibu SS from an automatic to a manual. I think what’s making it such a challenge is that I’m changing the entire drive train. The engine is going to be a Blue Print Engine, 383 Stroker, and 5 speed Tremec, all from Summit Racing. I have already installed the pedal conversion kit so the car has a clutch pedal now. That as far as I have gotten so far. I am trying to decide whether to go with a hydraulic setup for the clutch or the bell crank and push/pull rod way
If your engine block doesn’t have the casting for the pivot stud, go with a hydraulic setup. Thanks for watching👍
What is the part name or company name for the clutch ball adapter/ extension.
Clutch pivot ball bracket / adapter. You can find them at jegs, summit, SDPC. Thanks for watching. Please subscribe if you haven’t already
Thanks for the video, I chuckled many times watching this because of all the problems you were having....I found it funny because that's how it goes with any and everything I do or try to do working on my Camaro....nothing ever fits as it's supposed to, bought (or was sent) the wrong part....always have the wrong wrench-socket-bolt-nut-screwdriver-pliers-hammer...gotta make this, bend that, file, grind etc....just maddening some times, so I sympathize with you 😂 I guess we do it because we love it!
Thanks for watching! The quality of parts has gone downhill, but if you love cars you learn to deal with it. Focus on the end result then enjoy the ride!
I just installed a hydraulic clutch system and it's awesome, I should've done this years ago
did you buy a bellhousing specifically for the chevelle? and the pivot was wrong?
The bell housing is correct for this year chevelle. The engine block is a early 327 from a corvette and was not cast with the pivot location. In a corvette the pivot stud screws into bell housing. Later 327 blocks all have the pivot location cast in. Thanks for watching
Do you happen to know the part brand and part number for those headers? Looks like they fit pretty well with the 4 speed linkage.. I'm doing a manual swap on my 64 Beaumont and I'm looking for a set of headers.
Thanks!
Max
They are Hooker competition. Sorry but I don’t know the part number. My friend bought them. Thanks for watching.
Thank you for the video. I have a 65 Chevelle that has an automatic. I also have a Muncie out of a 69 Camaro. I don't have a lot of experience doing a swap. Why didn't you just put in a Hydraulic system in so you can avoid using the linkage and bar? It seems like it might have been easier. I have the transmission/bell housing/and flywheel. So I was wondering that for my application. Keep on updating us..
My friend bought the parts for his car, wants to keep it stock looking. The hydraulic system might be easier, won’t know until I try to install one! My friend is progressing on the car, hopefully will have a update soon. Thanks for watching!
Very enjoyable to watch thanks
