    I have the same geometry issue with lower pushrod. Have to put pushrod contrary to assembly manual diagram in order to line up with clutch fork. But then you cannot effectively adjust it because oil filter is in the way! 70 Chevelle 396 GM Bell crank, GM clutch fork. Time to tweek the Bell crank!

    Hey Chris with the 7 washers you used... doesn’t the frame plate have some adjustment to tighten it up instead of washers

  • @highspeednoblesgarage3152

    When you put that header in, where did you hook the spring up to?

  • @craigrichardson8096
    @craigrichardson8096 Před 3 lety

    Chris, "Z" bar or Bell crank, the end opposite of the round ball stud next to the oil filter area that attaches to the bracket on the frame: has the round ball stud that goes in the end, then the plastic cover seals it, then there should be a 1/4 inch felt washer, then a metal washer, the screw that is exposed then fits into the frame bracket and is fastened with a star washer and a nut. Six/seven washers is going to create an issue. Be careful!!!

    • @chriscraft77022
      @chriscraft77022  Před 3 lety +1

      i will let you know if there is a problem.. everything went in there the way it was supposed to.. felt and all.. if anything the bracket may need to be modified to bolt closer... thanks for the heads up..

  • @omgbbqcia911
    @omgbbqcia911 Před 5 lety

    close. the clutch pedal rod boot is actually supposed to go through the column plate with the column already installed and another retaining plate sandwiching the rubber between the retaining plate and the column plate. that way if you need to replace your boot you dont need to pull your whole column out to do so
