New subscriber here, I think you need to provide Carl with more background of Indian education in general, English maybe our second or third language, but whole schooling and teaching in colleges is done mainly with English as a main language, we know basic English, it's not like we check meaning of new words that we encounter in hindi or our mother tongue, that may be the case in some rural areas, but students preparing for gre mostly are well aquainted with English, and as far as vocabulary is concerned it just depends on the student, does he read books, newspapers, and is he trying to improve upon his vocabulary, doesn't matter if you're raised in America or are a foreign immigrant, most students care less and will try to improve their vocabulary before the test, which is difficult, anyways great advice you two!

Many have changed their scores quite rapidly. And IQ and GRE is not correlated. It’s very much based on prior math knowledge and vocabulary expertise. Many going from low 290s to over 320. And I thought the test was 4 hours? I’ve taken 2-3 practice tests and they didn’t too bad. Honestly don’t find much of this from him useful.
