    I agree that don't lose focus when you cannot score as expected. Keep practicing and improving, also stick to couple of strategies as I've seen over the years while preparing for CAT/GMAT/GRE people tend to change their strategy if the output is not as per expectation. Some of the tips are brilliant like mnemonics, 30-40 words a day. Since i have been reading and preparing for these exams while I was in my 2nd year I had a plethora of words by the end of final year and results were good.
    CAT - 99.55%, XAT - 99.10%, GMAT - 737, GRE - 319 were my score in 2017 last when had taken the exams. I took CAT/XAT/GMAT with no intense of taking MBA but more as practice and see the test level on different exams. These tests helped in time management and accuracy which is a major factor when you have a negative marking. You stay focused and disciplined. Great video and really some great tips by Shoeb and Parth. Great work guys.

    • @dustinsmith8341
      @dustinsmith8341 Před 3 lety

      How can you say that it shows no correlation? Clearly if you have the focus and dedication to score highly on GRE that it shows how much drive you have to succeed. You don't score 330 without trying. A major issue educators have is the complete lack of "effort" by students, especially the ones who are naturally smart so they haven't had to try. The GRE pushes even those students to succeed and is why I think it is a good idea.

    Shoaib said that we should create a master list of words every time we learn something from the App or any other source. So should the master list contain only words or should its meaning be also written beside it?

    Great video, Parth and Shoaib. It was immensely helpful, given I was a complete newbie.
    I have question though, for vocab I'm sticking strictly to Magoosh app. Should that be enough?
    Considering Shoaib could touch a 167 testifies, but, just to double check, should it be alright?
    Because what I have observed is, it's more about the contextual usage of words.
    Kindly reply. TIA. :)
