current bid is 13K
This is basically my car, though I jumped the power with an MSPNP3 and haven't done the Katskin seats. $$'s check out. I urge anyone who's looking to buy and mod an NB to jump on this. It's ALWAYS more than you think it's going to be.
Do you post pics of your car?
@@GR44N not on YT, but on FB for friends, etc... occasionally. It basically looks like Ron in Silver and no stickers, even the FM on the IC is on the backside.
Oh man! It would be amazing to own this car. Drooling!!!!
Good luck to the highest bidder !!! Very nice build!
Thanks! It was a fun project and we hope to keep up the video series.
Such a gorgeous build, hopefully some day I'll build up my NB2 to look like this one! Do you know what Sony stereo is in the car by the way?
It looks to be a run-of-the-mill unit and here's the model Sony MEX-GS810BH.
@@FlyinMiataVideo perfect, thank you so much! Can’t wait to upgrade my car with Flyin Miata parts in the future!!
I love the car but sadly most of the parts your showing off aren't in stock, I'd love to buy a clutch kit but it's been forever since you've had them
Yeah, good thing they sell for newer models or they would be out of business not having any stock.
But they magically have the stuff laying around for this build, funny that.
@@LateNightCable Parts come in to stock and then they sell. There are clutch kits like the one on this car sitting on the shelf right now. We have over $1.5 million in inventory that covers all generations of Miatas.
It took some planning to ensure we had all the parts available for this build when we started shooting. All of them were available to the public when we set them aside.
What a beautiful project, best wishes to the winner when the auction ends!
Thanks! We're pretty happy with how it turned out.
crap, I don't have a trailer 😢
You could have slapped on some winter tires and drove it home!
Someone seriously bought this for 31k .... FM, if you were in the business of making money, youd make more of these to sell.
We'd love to do another build in the future! Nothing is set in stone just yet, though.
Can't imagine putting that much into a 21 year old car and engine.
You don’t have to, a lot of this is useless crap. They just threw the catalog at this car for promotion.
Those parts prices are phucked. It should not take $21K to make that car what it is. Ron seems like a sacrificial catalog advert, because it was a clean car to begin with that they ripped perfectly good OEM parts out of.
The parts we used aren't bottom of the barrel ebay garbage. They're all competitively priced for what they are, it's just that most people don't do all of this work at once.
The parts that came off the car were not in great shape - the top was damaged, the carpet was gross, the seat covers were torn. Yes, we used it to show off our own parts but none of those are ones that have OEM equivalents that can do the same job. The factory radiator and fans, for example, would not be sufficient to cool the turbocharged engine under hard use.
I don't know how much the average FM costumer earns but this is expensive... There is no doubt everything installed is high end and very professional.Miatas were about affordable fun but this seems to change.
