@@MarcosIsABaritone it teaches them to be empathetic and care about other species as well as humans, it also teaches responsibility of course. There are study's that prove caring and loving an animals unlocks and activated certain parts of your brain that you otherwise can't use
@@MarcosIsABaritone absolutely, sometime it teaches your kids responsibility too. "you want a dog? you have to take care of it, or else it will go" no kids want to give away their dogs, tbh, no adult either, but its just an incentive to scare the kids.

I almost feel sorry for people who never knew the love of growing up with a dog in their life. They’re enrich the home and family in ways I can’t describe but know their value so well.
Some of us have cats or other companion animals that absolutely loves us. But adopting a dog when I have a home with a yard is one of my plans for future, one that will get along with my cats 😊

I was really expecting to be hit with, "Then one day... the vet told me I had cancer." Really glad it didn't go there.
I have a similar relationship with my dog, to the extent that he sleeps in our bedroom and when I get into bed he comes around the side of the bed, two paws up and licks (kisses??) me before jumping down and settles into his bed. Don’t know where I’d be without his totally unconditional love.
Same here but I lost my dog last December and im still mourning until now. It is really hard to move on and saying the most difficult goodbye.

@@blacknight1003 I really dont know if I will be getting one. Even my mom doesnt want as of this time. it would take some time for us to get a new dog. We are still grieving and not ready to have one.

I always thought I could never live without a dog, but my Maltese passed away after 15 years with her ,& that was eight months ago & I still feel in my heart I could never love another dog as much as I loved her and I would only be replacing her. I suppose one day I will get one but it still feels like I would just be replacing her & i’m not ready to do that yet. 😢

This is beautiful. Makes me miss my own golden retriever sister from when I was a kid. But I am so happy to be able to see her again (in a way) through this video. How lucky we are to have such incredible dogs throughout our lives.

Sterls and your family remind me so much of mine and our Maggie dog. Mags went with us when we took our daughter (her real owner, lol) to college. Several months went by before our daughter came home on break. Mags met her at the door. My daughter knelt down, hugging and talking to Mags. Mags put her head on my daughter's shoulder and whined this happy crying sound. So many memories. Love and fun beyond measure. An angel in our midst. I enjoyed your visit to Ottawa. So beautiful!

Lauren, I know exactly what your saying. I do rescues & adoptions and they are all very special but, when it's your own it hits home really bad. My last GR died at our house about a yr ago now and it still hurts.He looked so much like Sterling. He was sick for a few yrs and on meds every month. He died of old age. I told the vet I want all my dogs to be home with me. I was devastated.He was 12+ yrs. I had 3 and my one now is 12 +yrs to. That's good for GR. He can hardly walk so we take him out with a safety lift harness. He's on alot of meds every month to keep him with us. It's hard but I will NEVER give up. The vet said I need to remember he is old. I'm dedicated to help him 💯 % and that's what I do. I will never give up. Pet parents Love ❤ your pets because the years go by so fast. If possible keep them indoors. OWNING A PET IS A LIFETIME COMMITMENT. Blessings to everyone .
