This guy did an excellent job on this video, and he knows what he's talking about. Anyone who gives him a thumbs down is just rude.
Thanks Randy!

Awesome video thank you for doing it, keep up the good work.
Glad you enjoyed WF!
Thank you for the video.
Well It's not my lucky day but I like your videos I learn so much. Thanks for all you Do
Hey keep searching - I'd love to release a series on the different VAMs as there are tons of Morgan and Peace Dollar errors.
I have 1896 Morgan dollars from my great great grandparents.. Thank you
Real good video, real good information. Not a super costly coin - but the 1891 CC Spitting Eagle Morgan is a fun coin to collect.
Thanks! Gotta get up to date on my VAMs - looked into that Spitting Eagle! Have a good one, Haze.
He did say it was HIS list and that he didn't know about every Morgan... Great video, Cheers
Thanks for all your knowledge on these Morgan dollars. I was wondering how do you know if you have that special 1921 coin? I have a coins given to me from my mom and a lot are foreign coins and this specific 1921 is inserted into a necklace. How do you remove this without ruining your coin? Thanks again Christian
I HAVE 20 MORGAN DOLLARS IN MY COLLECTION THANK YOU CHRISTIAN I AM GONNA CHECK.YOU ATE MY BEST SUPPORTER IN THIS HOBBIE AND WITHOUT YOU I CAN NOT SEE HOW EXCITING IS THIS HOBBIE BROTHER.😀❤👍🇺🇸
Awesome!
I have one and I bet you dont
Excellent job identifying the errors on these coins.
Hello have a good day how to sell my coin like that
Like that coin
Just over 20 years ago for a birthday present, I was gifted 3 Morgan Silver Dollars. One of them I took to a gold and silver coin shop. The coin dealer, after taking almost 2 hours to examine it, said I have a 1921 Zerbe/Morgan prooflike silver dollar with 16 berries instead of the normal seventeen in the wreath on the (eagle) reverse side. Anyway, after our business was concluded, as I was walking out the door he said to me, "You REALLY need to have that coin appraised by a reputable coin appraiser; and when you do, don't forget about me!"
WOW! You gotta get that professionally graded.
Thanks, very cool!
Thanks Chase!
Great Information Thanks
Thanks Jonathan... hopefully you'll find one.
Hello there! Great information, thank you for sharing it all with us. I have a few 1921 Morgan with no mint code (is that what they are called?) Thank you so much.
I agree , he did well on his way of explaining the coins.
I was curious on the last coin he explains a 1883 proof coin and how rare to find.
I have recently came into a 1883 o mint. But not a proof. What should I do to find out value if any.
Great video!
Thanks Rita!
Philadelphia made a proof in 1879, I think I found one at my local coin shop but it has a lot of toning on it.
Thanks
For the 1895-P, 12,000 was the number of business coins minted, but all were melted before circulation. Only the 880 proofs minted that year survived.
Thanks for the info, James!
Thank you for the info ! I will look through my Morgan's again. I may have at least one or more of 1895's but I don't remember seeing a P mint mark. I have a number of CC's. And I know the CC's check out, they're sharp & clear with no large space in the opening of the C's.
@@ghostcityshelton9378 The only circulated 1895s are San Francisco and New Orleans (CC ended in 1893), and are both valuable.
Also, there is no "P" mint mark on Morgans. The absence of a mint mark means Philadelphia. Good hunting!
Hi great video thank you, I cant seem to find any information about mint errors on the writing "in God we trust" on the Morgan dollor 1898 . Does this mean it could be worth something? It'd also either brass not silver .
This video was very interesting and informative. What about the smaller s mint mark on the 1921 which is the zerbe special strike?
That's a great one to find!
I have 7 of the 1921-S the #6 on your list. My father passed and left us kids in a bank deposit a bunch of coins, he was a antique dealer for over 30 years when he passed. I am about to passout.
Hey Kyla - that's awesome. Are you sure they're the Zerbe proof strike? That's super important for the value... there are plenty of 1921-S that are worth $15 or so.
I collect only 1889CC’s in all grades and have a handful of 1893S’s low grades. Easy to obtain and always desired for collectors to want.
Maaf
That's super cool!
Do you have a 1889 cc to spare, I am dying to get my hand on one of these.
thank you very much for the information I guess I have 1883 CC
That's awesome Radovicz! CC's are great!

Imagine it took blood sweat and tears to mine that silver Out of the ground
@@OVERHERE-OVERHERE ALOT of deaths as well. Very sad. Look at coal mines and how many people die from mineing coal. When folks got silver from a mine alot of times they were killed and the silver was stolen
Thanks for the info on the Morgan's I didn't very much about them
Great! It's a fun series to collect so I'm glad you have some more info now!
I'm going to re watch your video here...FANTASTIC NEWS. I spent many hours with my metal detector in a field where I knew a house had been from the 1800's and it was torn down in the 1930's.
I found a small box and inside were a few rings and alot of coins mostly Morgan Silver Dollars.
I'd found the odd coins mostly your reg. American coins but never a Morgan let alone a number of 'Morgan's'. The info you've given us in this 1 video is amazing!
I have 1 from 1921 but have some of the coins you listed here. Had an 1878 or 1879 I can ck but just by phone pics an executive & his team gave it a 67 and could be alot higher, he said it looked pretty perfect and would just say IF REAL and checks out he just said could be worth 5 figures what ever that ment. This was when I was just starting to find out about Morgans.
I was given addresses to go to to get the coins checked out but have to save to even get there let alone the price I'd have to pay to get the number of coins I have cked out. It's hard when you don't have a car. I think I was told it would take like $50. a coin? So I'm trying to find out maybe 3 or 4 to start out with that's why I was floored by your video here at the ball park or whatever prices listed.
I know don't count your chickens before there hatched😁. I'm just praying the coins are real & may be able to go to auction and do well. The executive did say the coin he saw could be worth alot and I hope he's right. Sorry about the long comment. Thank you for such valuable info. I have another might be a hot spot to ck out. I've been metal detecting for over 30 years and have found some cool stuff but never like what was in that box. Folks would bury stuff esp. to hid from the British during the War of 1812. So you'll never know what you might find.
Really hoping things go well for you man! That is an UNBELIEVABLE story. Thanks for sharing.
@@TreasureTownCoins Thanks!😁 If it's real I hope to help support channels like yours. If it's not real I still have a metal detector. The best ring I ever found was a lady'sring that had belonged to her grandmother. She tried to pay me but the tears in her eyes from being happy were enough.
Such an awesome story - if I had more time I'd definitely start detecting too! Maybe this summer...
@@TreasureTownCoins I'm doing spring cleaning right now, but I'll refind my little picture books that helped me find the boxes and give you the info to get a book (more like a mag) they're under $20. and they give good history on states maybe it could help ypu.
That site you gave me is fantastic!! I'm still going to get the Red Book and all but WOW!! I have at least four I think of 1878-CC Morgan's and 1889s just lots of different dates. An 1889-CC $1 Morgan PCGS are RARE, only 199 in higher grade. An 1889 +PL-CC is on sale for $25,000.... The 1879-CC is one of the rarest of the Morgans.( You prob know all this)
Sorry to go on & on it is just very Interresting thank you again for the info. Holy Batman!!! But can't get too excited untill I can get some of them cked out.
Ha, ha, ha I'm paying alot for Xfinity 1 and haven't turned the TV on much at all since finding the stuff. It's late so I'll say good night but I WILL keep in touch.
If you get a metal detector get one that can go in abit of water as well as it really is worth it. CK AROUND TREES TOO!! A lot of folks don't and they can miss out. If you go to bury something you want some sort of marker so you can find it again.😁
Thanx for all these information. I have one 1888 , where can I value it ? 🙏
Where can I find more info on the Zerbe Morgan's special strike 1921 proof mint mark coins? Any 1921 proof is valuable with consideration to grade?
Maybe look it up - I bet PCGS has good resources.
I have an 1878s dollar VAM 27A that has been improperly cleaned (not polished) that is probably in grade very fine+ details. Is it worth more than an 1878s dollar VAM 27 in the same grade?
Hi Chris. I don't know very much about the specifics of VAMs, as the immersion into the topic you need to do is greater than what I'd get out of it (especially since I don't collect them). I wouldn't be the person who would know.
The 1888 O Scarface LDS should be on here. I had found one raw and ungraded which was sent in to PCGS and graded MS63 and later sold in Heritage auction for almost $10,000. For reference mine was the one with purple toning on the upper left reverse. I think there is one graded higher which is in ms64. It's going to be very hard for a coin to grade higher considering it was struck on a completely broken and die.
True. That's a good suggestion.
@@TreasureTownCoinshave you ever seen one 1880 that’s missing the “one dollar” on the reverse, it’s completely blank
What can you tell me about a 1888 micro O mint mark morgan dollar. Not 1899 but 1888? This morgan is in very good condition.
There is no fixed price or value for any coin until it is graded. It is worth $1 to $25. Is your coin for sale?
I have an 1878 no mint mark but has a circle mark inside the letter I (on back in the word "unIted") I'm curious about its value.
I have 2 Morgan dollar 1894, why is the face is facing the right side not on the left side? Is this a fake or error?
I have 1882,1883, 1884 Uncirculated CC Dollars. What "ratting" would they have? MS-60, AU etc.
I have 1878-S, 1880-O, 1881-S, 1882-P, 1883-O, 1890-O, 1891-CC, 1894-O, and 1891-P
Nice!
I have a 1883-O how do I know if it is branch mint proof though?
I'd talk to a coin dealer in person.
I acquired a 1921 Morgan dollar from an estate and I have a really dumb question. When I turn this coin around, the eagle is upside down, is that right?
I have one of those but it's gold 5D double die maybe.. I can't find it nj where
When you find it, let me know. I might buy it.
WOW...I just looked at my morgans...and i have a 1921s that i had no idea i had!!!..guess where its going!!!
Hey New Coin - is it the Zerbe proof strike? Most 1921s aren't too valuable (just the special Zerbe ones).
i think most of the proof morgan you mentioned can be outclassed by an 1884 s when it comes to rarity especialy in ms65 and higher..
Conditional rarity definitely mixes things up.

Hey Roma - I believe that they are likely around $20 or so but their values could increase exponentially if they're in nearly perfect condition.

I just picked up a 1882 morgan. I'm sending it in to get graded because it looks like a cracked die where she is smoking a pipe. It is a Orleans mint and I have found nothing else about it online so I'm sending it in.

Good morning Treasure Town Please shout out Mr Ginny John Claramount from Manila Philippines God Bless us
loved it, I have a 1925 s with the V in trust ... it seems so not worth nothing and was wondering like Y really ? being the U is a V' in spelling?
That’s just Latin spelling for the word trust. All peace dollars have that spelling.
I have a 1921-S in great condition. What makes it a proof?
It has to do with how the dies are prepared and will result in a special strike. At that time I don't think they were making proofs but I could be wrong.
I have the 1921 , and I'm not a coin collection. So what can I do ?
