The problem with not getting the toned coins is that nowadays a lot of collectors find them to be attractive and are even pay high prices for them too.
I am a bit curious as to why you didn't mention using a cell phone app to test the "ping" of a coin like the Morgan's you are showing. For those of us with hearing loss those apps are invaluable. That said, a good video.
Ebay = triple protection (Ebay, PayPal, credit card). Applies to shipping, receiving the correct item, it being authentic/legit, and as described/pictured.
I see some pretty sad stories that come into the LCS. To me, if you are a serious stacker, you are spending some serious cash. A Sigma Metalytics is part of being a stacker. You may laugh, however, I cannot withstand shenanigans. I did buy fake silver coins from eBay. I put the coin on the Sigma and sent a photo of the disappointment. The refund was rapid. Sometimes slabbed coins do not line up as well, PCGS and NGC have been very kind and verified the coins that I purchased from LCS.
I bought a 1895 O from my son's pawn store that he bought from a guy that was the right weight but i took it to a silver and gold and coin store that turned out to be a fake. I lost $400 on that fake coin
@@stevenshelley9345 you dont need to as long as the number matches on the website. Like ANACS, ICG, NGC, or PCGS. If the number does not come up on there website then it is fake. You can always take it to a coin shop to make 100% sure.
Crazy how much value our dollar used to have though huh. Back in 1921 this 1 dollar was a lot of buying power. If this coin was legal tender at its spot value it would buy a lot of groceries compared to a 1 dollar coin today. If you sell this 1921 coin to someone for 50 dollars thats like 4 trips for me alone to mcdonalds. Thats an expensive ass dollar bro. That dollar is worth so many cotton rectangles 😂

I just feel for the average collector it is overkill and the way I talk here in IL is dumb=overkill. Not so much dumb as in you are dumb or unintelligent. I'm always here to help people that watch my channel and never put anyone down or make them feel bad.

I have one that passes weight, size, ping, edge, and even sigma that is counterfeit. I tested with an XRF yet.

It’s never “dumb” to do whatever you can to verify expensive metals. Just lost a sub. Most people don’t appreciate being called dumb
