Vegeta was definitely the strongest of all the Z fighters at this point. He might lose once in awhile but he always comes back stronger than ever the next fight. Gotta love that never give up attitude!

@@Antoniodagreat It's true. You can check the original manga, Trunks said this himself and it's reasonable because the history has changed drastically. The android are much less evil and in the same time, they are stronger. Future Gohan is not that strong... he is the same level as Trunks, while Goku since coming back to earth (in Yadarat suit) is superior than him.

Sorry but that is a misinformation fans have made up and spread in the fandom, and is not true. The Present Androids are stronger than the future ones.
When Trunks says that, he is referring to the times he fought them, and was able to at least do something little against them, while these one destroyed him with one blow. We never saw these fights in the manga, so you cannot say they held back any more than these present ones did. That is just headcanon, and is not even the point in this scene.
These androids being stronger than the future ones is part of the plotline that there are changes to history due to time travel; extra androids, heartvirus delayed, stronger androids, not as savage androids (willing to fight 1on1 + they didn’t kill them for amusement like in the future).
Stating that randomly one of those things is wrong because of headcanon is ridiculous and missing the entire point of the story, and is complicating a simple scene for no reason. Them being stronger has never been refuted, thus it is true, and is part of the story telling. Trunks had no chance against the Future Androids either, but he could gauge their strength by the weight of their attacks etc, and was able to immediately come to the conclusion that they were stronger in the present.

Vegeta's comedy is underrated, and you have a true point in the special History of Trunks.
Future Gohan showed he could take one of Androids.
But they were holding back, but I think Gohan might have had a chance. When he was fighting 17, he was surprised by Gohan's aggressiveness, and then 18 jumped in. we know what happened after that.

Another difference is that these Androids are a lot more patient, 17 allowed 18 to battle Vegeta alone. if it was in the history timeline of Trunks, they would have double-teamed everybody wipe them out without a second thought.
They're not killing machines in the present timeline.

This version of #17 & #18 are way more powerful than their Trunks' timeline counterparts. Trunks does confirm this at some point.

@@KaizenReactionshe doesn’t. Only 17 and 18 happened in his time and they weren’t ever beat by this point. 16, 19 and 20 (gero android version) happened in this time cause trunks interrupted the timeline so it created an alternate reality in another timeline

I love to watch the fight between Vegeta and Android 18 and I also love how Vegeta speak to Android 18 during their battle. I was watching all episodes from Dragon ball Z as a kid and I watching Androids saga every episode was great and I always enjoy watching Dragon Ball Z episodes especially Androids saga which is my favorite next to Namek Saga. Future Gohan had zero chance against either android.
He 100% had a chance against the androids in his timeline. 1 v 1 he definitely had a chance.
@@KaizenReactions What makes you think so? Gohan trained and thought he'd gotten strong enough to fight the androids, but they revealed they weren't even using half their power previously.
Gohan, at best, was fractionally superior to 17 and 18 at half power.

They gave him a lot of zenkai boost but unfortunately it wasn’t enough to take them on
You can already see a tiny difference between the androids of the present and the ones in the future.
In the Future the Androids double teamed Gohan and Trunks immediately and had no issue figting 2vs1. Whereas here #18 fought alone and 17 made even a deal to not step in unless more than one started fighting 18, meaning they care about fairness a bit!

If it wasnt for their infinite energy i wonder if vegeta could have possibly won this fight if he fought smart, there were moments he seemed to have the upper hand, but then again we all know what happens in a fight later down the line so maybe not.
I think he could, he just got tired but he did pretty well until the android had better stamina and she just overpowered him that way :)

I read in the comments that 17 and 18 are not stronger than their future parts. That's wrong and noticed in the manga. Even if 17 explained to Mirai Gohan that they used less than 50% of their power there're still inferior than the present. Just watch the next episode and you'll change your mind

Actually, Trunks mentioned that the Androids in the present are stronger than the ones in his time. So I doubt future Gohan could take one of them on 1v1.

I think he could beat one of them in his timeline if it was 1v1 haha. Maybe that's just me but in the movie he really put in the work constantly against only 1 android until the other joined in.

this vegeta would have probably one from the androids of trunks timeline atleast in a one on one fight because this vegeta is stronger than the vegeta of trunks timeline due to intensive training but due to trunks changing the history these androids are more stronger than the android 17 and 18 from trunks timeline.

Ill say it again but Krillin and everyone needs to not depend only on Goku all the time it seems a bit cowardly like they’re just giving up without trying to think of a decent strategy for fighting their enemies. Besides Goku gets too much spotlight as it is.
This is the problem with DBZ as it continues. Granted, Krillin, Tsien, Yamcha, and Piccolo aren’t comparable to Super Saiyans, but there had to be some way they could learn new techniques or mystical powers to keep up.

Well,he is the strongest so that,s why he get,s the spotlight.Cowardly,no they are smart,they all understand that they can,t win so why should they risk their lives for no reason.Being a coward is not always wrong.A person should understand reality and live according to it but some people still live in false reality.
That's why later in the end of this saga and in Buu saga, Goku don't want to be wish back. He just want everyone not to depend on him. And also wants the next generation to be able to defend themselves.

What happens is that androids have unlimited energy, that's why they have the advantage while Vegeta decreases little by little.
