Joker typically gets off with a ruling of not guilty by reason of insanity. That's why he goes to Arkham instead of being set free. He's still a danger, but just because he's found "not guilty" by a jury doesn't mean he isn't punished for his crimes. He goes to a maximum security mental care facility instead of a normal prison to await a death sentence.
The biggest issue I have with that is I find it hard to believe after so many years of terrorizing Gotham, the jury wouldn't just unanimously find him guilty outright on the off chance he could get the death penalty. That's why juries are handpicked and vetted by the court to ensure that they're nonpartisan.

Imagine Joker starts his horrifically bloody crime spree, most people would hear about what he looks like and what he'll do. He walks into a mall, kills the first Security guard that tries to stop him, alerting everyone to his presence. In a densely populated city like Gotham there's very likely 1 or more U.S. Combat Veterans who would do something about it.

So, to give context about Plastic Man, how powerful he is and why is he so ignored by DC.
Plastic Man's is capable of shapesshifting and stretching at an extreme point, and is extremely resistant, not in the sense that he is invulnerable, but in the sense that he has been blown up, broken, melted, and he just fuses the separated parts, covers the missing parts, etc. And in that way always recovers in no time
This guy is almost impossible to kill unless you destroy him to a molecular level because if there's at least a part of plastic man somewhere, then he will come back.
He also works AMAZING as an spy, he can transform into objects and other characters with ease and has been used for multiple infiltration missions, also, you saw how locks and stuff like that usually have no chance because he will somehow open them.
Batman who has a plan for EVERYONE, literally has a plan against plastic man that is resumed in "freezing him so that he can't stretch, and keep him there" admitting that they are lucky to have Plasticman on their side.
And because of how OP he is, he isn't used or is left at the backseats. He basically needs to be extremely nerfed if you want to use him and make a story in wich he is not just inmediately winning.

I imagine this is the reason Superheroes don’t tend to ever kill. Because once you kill to solve a problem, you’ll start to see it as a common solution and see yourself as being above the law which is why they usually leave the villains sentences to the people. Batman is afraid of what he’ll become if he ever crosses that line and he’s just a human. Now a super powered alien who can fight and even best gods? That’s terrifying to have as a dictator.

For Batman, is not just about being afraid of becoming senseless to killing, is the fear of becoming the same source of trauma he witnessed as a child. Is the fear of becoming responsible for taking the life of someone's father or son the same way his parents were taken from him. The fear of making someone else's the victim of the same act that changed his life forever. And that also applies to the Joker, doesn't matter how derranged or dangerous he is, ultimately he is also someone's son, and killing him would mean taking away someone's family.

The flash would never side with superman like he does in the game or comics and would 100% be team batman 2. If flash was on team batman he could solve all of the issues ending so much faster then everyone else is (seriously some people legit have no idea how broke his speed is). 3) he fna time travel and stop it from happening but if you write that off asa possiblity in fear of creating a flash point paradox sinario ( of which it should lnt because not enough time has progressed yet to the point that time is not set in stone yet and 4 he could go to a different earth and ask for him from another superman etc...yes it was clumsy they way they killed him off and the biggest issue is how no one seems to acknowledge or address it almost like no one cared that did bother me ABIT but removing him from the play board did not because of how easily the flash could solve this problem@@Andros1921

"Deadwing" is the Injustice's version of "Deadman" who is a legitimate spirit hero in DC Comics. In the comics, Deadman was once an acrobat known as Boston Brand before he was shot mid flying trapeze act. The Goddess of Balance and Karma, Rama Kushna, help him bring his killer to justice but also kept him around to help with other conflicts, aiding others such as Batman, the Spectre, and Justice League Dark.
When you eventually watch the first of the 16 Justice League Animated Movie Universe films that starts with "Justice League: Flashpoint Paradox," you will see Deadman in action when you get to the "Justice League Dark" film (which is in the exact middle of that franchise).

Most are a victim in some way, suffer from mental illness and/or trauma, or have good intentions, so while locking them up may seem like a light punishment, the comics and some of the cartoons will show some of them trying to get better, and like humans, sometimes they make mistakes in that process or regress, but many do successfully become citizens again. As for your second response, there are real life stories of normal, ordinary people forced to share air with people far less evil yet just as dangerous as the Joker, as he is portrayed in this comic/film, and, yes, these real people often try to rid the world of these monsters. Kind of a nice reminder that sometimes you just gotta watch a show, instead of trying to see what's wrong with it. You imght end up finding joy in things alot more LOL

Batman also said that, although he had contingency plans for all members of the league, Wonder Woman's was by far the most complicated one
Besides, Superman isn't weak just to Kryptonite, He is also vulnerable to magic and telepathy (basically, both things affect him the same way they would a normal human, meaning that telepathic attacks and spells can weaken and even kill him with considerable ease)
Not only she can defeat him, but also Shazam (his lightning is a magical attack), Black Adam (same thing), Doomsday (he can adapt to anything that killed him, and Superman killed him A LOT, so he's the perfect weapon to kill him), Firestorm (he can manipulate matter at atomic level, If he wanted to he could just create a mountain of Kryptonite and kill Superman with it), Captain Atom (he can stop time and manipulate matter just like Firestorm, plus he is as Strong, fast and durable as Superman), Starfire (Non-solar radiation is very effective against Superman, as it reaches the cellular level, and she can generate radioactive explosions many times stronger than a nuke) Raven (she's considered the most powerful magic user in DC comics, sometimes even more than Constantine; her spells are so strong she can kill human beings with a thought, and as I said before, Kryptonians are as vulnerable to magic as humans beings) and many more characters

DC do have a strange habit of doing 'what if the nicest heroes turn bad?' storylines, and given how long Supes has been around he is an easy target. Brought over the edge by the Joker, Injustice is the usual avenue for evil dictator Superman, being the comic event, this movie and a fighter game franchise.
I mean Clark is actually a solid dad, the current comics had him mentor his son Jonathon a lot, until he had to go off-planet, then he left his tutelage in the hands of Nightwing, who also did a great job btw. Jon is like Damian's best friend too so it's like 'our dads are friends so we're basically brothers'.
If Flash pushes himself he can run faster than time itself, the power that enables his super speed is the Speed Force, so he can go back in time with it, but there's often a big butterfly effect. Also, every 'speedster' shares the Speed Force, so its availability can get divided.
Green Lantern can do anything he can will himself to do, the limits of the ring are often based on his mindset, and mostly the bylaws of the Green Lantern Oath but enough willpower can even supersede that
Yes, it is Plastic Man, he is surprisingly powerful given his comic relief and pervy anime guy kinda personality.
They did kill off Dick similarly in the comics, there was rubble there to break his neck but it was still rather weak, the level-headed need to be killed off quickly and if Dick isn't evil (or shot in the head to become an amnesiac but we don't talk about Ric) he's often swatted aside, Hawkman also gets clowned a lot, which is a shame because he's kinda a badass. Turning him into an iteration of Deadman (a ghost hero who similarly to Dick was a circus performer) I think was for the movie only.
Talia was still active when Damian was left with Bruce, it's just that for much of his childhood until then Bruce didn't know he had a son.
26:53 this, is Mister Terrific, specifically the second iteration - Michael Holt. Canonically the third smartest man on Earth. Super intelligent, practically a natural in everything he tries, and a very impressive inventor.
A bright spot for Injustice is that it did really push on Harley Quinn as an antihero, her comedy and charisma did help guide her into being a more independent character too.
31:48 it sounds nuts but, consider human history...
I think with Wonder Woman it's more her culture; she's an Amazon, they're a nation of warriors, she's not squeamish to killing an enemy so long as there's justification. And she believed Superman to be indelible, incorruptible, until he wasn't.
I enjoyed Smallville, it has its iffy parts (and more uncomfortable moments under the context of the Allison Mack stuff) but it was solid and went its own direction, so many good actors hidden in there too. Michael Rosenbaum as Lex is fantastic, and John Glover as Lionel is also awesome.
AMAZO is often like that, Under the Red Hood did tone him down a lot but once he gets a chain of powers going he becomes harder to beat.

Two things that angered me about Batman in this movie is he gives murders so many chances to be redeemed but disowns Damian after he accidentally killed nightwing.
And the fact that he has contingencies for his allies but not enemies, seriously killer croc even said that’s messed up and he’s a cannibal.
And Batman’s side didn’t help matters, instead of being there for Superman and being the shoulder to lean on they kept alienating him, like mister terrific saying that it would go to killing smokers when Superman proposed banning guns. Superman had reasonable goals but Batman’s side kept blowing it out of proportion

The first Reeve movie is great, but the sequels are kind of a mess. And the Henry Cavill ones he spends too much time in the passenger seat not progressing the plot IMO.

Also to add this other melt batman code helps him from crossing that line. Because he even realizes that the danger of him crossing it. Maybe it's the joker today tomorrow it's penguin. Next it's a kid who Jay walks on accident. Next is a drunk driver who accidentally ramped up into somebody. Next maybe it may be catwoman. Maybe he might say his justice should be a law. And try to go after others who don't agree. It's just like in the red hood movie it would be too easy. Then it would be to normalize for him to do it. Batman symbol for vengeance return to a symbol of murder. People won't remember Batman as the hero. Difficult down that line he will be remembered as the psychopath. Another killer and a sea of killers that live in gotham. Not killing these villains also has the benefit of him trying to help rehabilitate them. Some of them can be helped you have to find the ones who are willing to accept it. Killing everybody out there won't help. All it does is create the circle of violence. Of murder brutality all over. It won't help anybody. It probably would just make things worse.

I think they did the GL Corp dirty, too, tbh. I don't think that the writers of the comic really understand how the rings work and that "just take them off the GL" isn't that easy. Either that, or they had to ignore a lot to make the story work, which is arguable on a lot of fronts for different characters and how they work/react.

To give some clarification on Damien (Robin in this one) Batman didnt know he existed until he was about 13. He was raised by Ra's and Talia in the league of assassins. As soon as he was old enough to hold a weapon he started getting trained and taught how to kill, and that there was nothing morally wrong with killing. Talia basically dumped him with Bats due to a civil war ocurring in the league of shadows following the 'permanent death' of Ra's (or something like that). Since than, Bats has been trying to teach Damien why killing isnt the only solution and to balance him out. But his reflexes and impulses are still heavily weighed towards killing his opponents.

    3) it is the father of Hero live action dramas. This show paved the way for the Arrow, supergirl, flash, etc.

    - The Hindu god Rama Kushna is the the one that gave Deadman (real name Boston Brand) another hero that Nightwing is kind of does his role in this movie which is interesting because both of them were circus trapeze artist

25:12 - In the comics, Talia drugged Batman and got herself pregnant. He had no idea about Damian until she came to town and dumped him on his metaphorical doorstep. The intent was for the kid to be Ra’s heir since Bruce kept refusing, plus he’d so run interference with so Talia’s plan at the time could go off without a hitch. Ultimately, Bruce accepted Damian in spite of several missteps on the kid’s part and he became Robin, first working under Dick Grayson who’d become Batman.

The conceit that villains are allowed to live and come back, and never be executed or killed regardless of what they do (barring some shock-value scene to counter lagging sales) is based on the practical issue of having to come up with new villains for the hero to fight all the time for the next 50 years or so.

Refusing to outright murder him is one thing. But refusing to let him die by anyone else’s hand, or under any circumstance is the biggest problem with Batman’s character.
