I like the reviews not that lets hate queens reviews..... I dont like sherry at all but it feels like these videos are cancel videos. I love u but lately im not a fan
As some who has been a victim of s/a the amount of people joking about this and justifying it is horrendous. If I saw my attacker on TV making money from my trauma I'd feel violated all over again.
Both sides are correct here; The victims should be able to heal from the trauma (as someone who’s suffered s/a for years when I was younger). At the same time, when do second chances and changes come into play? Should sherry Pie be condemned for life? Or should the community give her a second chance to change and grow? I don’t know I’m just asking the questions 😬
I have borderline personality disorder and I don't hurt people. The victims should have been interviewed first, and only then Sherry Pie we should hear him.
Same here, also I have been mistreated by many people throughout my life and all my friends have left me aside, making me feel like a hopeless freak, sometimes I hate them so much that It's almost scary, because I give my all and always recieve nothing, I always keep it to myself and it's so frustrating... Committing an atrocity like that is unjustifiable and only a BAD person with BAD intentions would do it
@@idkdc2615 I'm so sorry you've been through that. I can relate. I know how extremely BPD affects relationships with literally everyone. sending you hugs. xoxo
same here. although i have hurt people in relationships (romantic and platonic), it was never intentional and was the result of my impulsivity or my paranoia or even both at times. i never, and still don’t, want to hurt anyone for my own benefit, and i mean NEVER. maybe sherry did what they did out of impulsivity, but even then, it’s still pretty fucked up. if your mental illness is a literal threat to yourself and/or others, its not an excuse to get away with what you did, it’s a sign you need serious help. all actions have consequences and what they did deserves to be punished and their mental illness needs to be properly treated. they don’t need their career back for sure. and i completely agree; the victims should have been interviewed first to promote their stories, then sherry could’ve been interviewed afterwards.
In 2020/21 no-one is a victim of being catfished! You know what's going on.....you can't tell me that no-one has watched the tv with the same name about this topic!
@@gaybetch y’all are so weird for thinking you’re only able to judge someone based on how someone else does. This whole “i’m not allowed to forgive someone until this person does” is the most insane trend to come out of cancel culture.
@Cory Muro they have savior complex, like they have to do their part to help “marginalized” groups or victims or whatever when it does nothing for them. At the end of the day this notion is saying “i’m only going to like them if you like them” instead of being able to think for yourself. To the person who commented that people are sheep, yes they sure as hell are. That notion does nothing for anyone.
When did Sherry pie ever become a breakout star. Sherry didn’t get a single episode without these ugly truths coming out into the light. Sherry was a contestant on a tv show not a breakout star. Do not give her that praise.
I feel like she was becoming a fan favorite when the season announcement came out but that's just my opinion. Sherry could of been on TOP of the Drag Race fandom if she didnt do what she had done. Ruined it sad she did
More like “infamous” ... regardless, I really didn’t like her style. (Not only referring to wardrobe) She just seemed like an amalgamation of multiple other (some very successful) queens, but Sherry just didn’t pass the vibe check for me. Came across as talented, yes - but weirdly inauthentic. I’m sure many others would feel differently, just not my kind of queen though.
@@igamealot7768 I could see that happening, but I’m not sad she ruined it. I’m glad she got caught for being a bad person for a very long time. It’s a shame they already filed the show, because it somewhat ruined that season for me. They did the best they could with editing and disclaimer, but I feel SO bad for the rest of the cast that season, they were so talented and it got overshadowed by his known predatory behavior. Ugh. I personally can’t even rewatch it because I can’t stand to see him, he just makes me feel queasy. 😞
She was a breakout star tho... she had minimum air time and still had better looks then most..and made it to the top 4. 🤷🏽♂️ not only that the controversy also added to that. I’d say she was definitely a breakout star
I have BPD. When people like Sherry Pie try and use BPD as an excuse for their actions it taints further a diagnosis that is already hampered by negative stereotypes. It bloody angers me!!
@@pm1647 npd doesn’t make you abusive either. Mental illness is never an accuse for abuse. She chose to do all of those things. I have bpd and npd and I’m not an abuser. It doesn’t matter at all what they are diagnosed with.

I dont think we should support, forgive, or trust sherry until the victims fully do. Edit: How are people saying im making this about myself im literially saying that until the victims are at peace with sherry I dont think its our place to be saying wether she should be forgiven or not, its the victims.
No one gives two shits if you do, he's a human being and he as the rest of the people deserve forgiveness, don't act like you're jesus or some shit, you and all the people that thinks like that needs a revaluation of life 😘
Vile. Who knows how many people have been victimized by this individual? The people who have actually come forward may represent the tip of the iceberg.
Oh wow! I never really understood what Sherry Pie did. All I knew was she was "catfishing" because the articles I read all said that. That is so sneaky and misleading
I've read numerous articles about what she did, and it's pretty WILD stuff. Like Bussy said, some of it is pretty explicit stuff. But it also regards stuff that, when you first hear about it, does sound kinda ridiculous at first. Like this is the kind of stuff that, if someone were to make a movie about this incident, the filmmakers would probably be concerned with whether or not to include it as it happened because they'd be concerned if the audience would wonder if it's real or not. But then when you go into detail on who was being targeted, what they were forced to do in these "audition" videos they sent her, how seriously they went along with this (no matter how absolutely insane everything surrounding this was), and what some of these people sacrificed for it, it really gets to you that this is truly awful stuff. Not to mention some of the men who were suckered into this considered this person their friend before all this happened. So yea, truly serious and horrendous stuff at the end of the day, and WAY beyond just "catfishing".
@@umeshvaghjiani822 I think it's more accurate to say the catfishing was the least of her transgressions. She used the catfishing to commit far worse sins. So just saying catfishing gives the wrong impression - that it wasn't so bad. When it was worse.
A career that should never be revived, no matter how much he redeems himself. Redemption, yes. Going back into a position of power with a platform, he’ll no.
Unpopular Opinion: If we can’t discuss hard topics, we can’t move on as a community. I am in no way defending sherry pie for her disgusting actions. But what Tamron said is true, even bad people get interviewed. We need to see all sides of the story.

"where does someone who has deplatformed go?" to jail, but if they are lucky enough like she was, just to regular life? open a business? get a normal job? She had a golden opportunity of a fresh start and yet she's still trying to get her power back, it's disgusting. Someone who so viciously abused her power shouldn't be given a platform back, ever again. She's lucky she isn't in jail, I'm baffled that she is risking it!!!!
The scary thing I always think about is...do people ever stop having the abuser mentality? What DO we do will people who hurt others? Once they've been punished by the law are they not free? Yes, but do I want my loved ones around them? No. It's an impossible thing to solve for me
I think even opening a business is off the table (unless it’s something charitable or that would help him make amends in any way). He shouldn’t be in a position of power and owning a business could do exactly that.
Tamron was just doing her job as a journalist. If anything, I think she only did the interview because it’s what her producers wanted her to do. Journalists don’t always get to choose who to interview or what topics to discuss.
This whole situation is so disturbing, especially because my name is Joey and I have BPD too. That disorder does not cause shit like this. He is truly evil, and I don't understand how he has not been prosecuted.
For the record I as a white cis woman with children educate my children in respecting all, that explain that lgbtqa community has had to fight for equality, we go to pride events and explain homophobia. They don't understand why gay people have been treated so poorly and that's where our children need to be. I've also taught then what consent means in all relationships because it's important and school still does not fully educate on that and focuses on baby making.
I'd like to remind people that Joey tried to get a diabetic to take steroids to fulfill their fantasies, despite that recreational steroid use can cause serious harm to perfectly healthy bodies, and could have killed the victim due to their diabetes.
Part of me thinks allowing Joey to appear out of drag could be a good thing, because it could divorce his terrible actions from the the idea of drag itself. Saying as someone who’s had a family member go “the only time I hear about a drag queen I’d when they’re a predator”
Couldn't agree more. Drag is most often a character and we saw that on RPDR with SP inflections and stuff changing in drag Should they appear in drag to defend their actions it would be easier for them to distance from their actions since without the make up they look like a different person
Not to mention it would be very weird to have such a serious conversation while he’s in character. Plus, it might give the idea that they’re giving him a platform to promote his drag career. I think having him out of drag was 100% the right call.
Agreed - drag does NOT make some one a bad person and for many people it is such a healing and joyful pursuit. Also, Joey is terrible, not the Sherry Pie character. If Joey never performed again or adopted a new drag persona, those actions are still ones for which Joey is accountable.
TBH, I don't think airing an interview with an abu5er is the same as giving that person a platform, but the producers did need to make that clear before giving Sherry Pie any air time (and I mean both Tamron and RDR's producers, cause that disclaimer at the beginning of every episode was very vague). And listening to what Sherry had to say, I think it sounds way too calculated and similar to what she had to say last year (just a few weeks after Allison Mossey last e-mails). Guess she's trying to craft a cute redemption story.
I just don't see what the point of the interview was? At most, they'd either admit to, or deny what they did. All it really achieved was making a video of them apologizing for their actions more readily accessible to the public than the stories of their victims. That's setting aside the fact that the explanation proceeding the interview was a vague and downplayed description of what actually took place.
I think for the disclaimer, as long as a person is not legally trialed for something, it can bring the production company huge issues if they clarify it further. Eventually even so far, that they could be sued for slander. Plus I think at that point of airing not everything was clear yet. Things just continued to surface. So basically they were just covering their asses. And frankly, it is good that way. Production companies are not there to be the law. Maybe it feels like a downfall in cases like this, but the media is powerful. If they could simply state that a person committed a crime, this would open the doors for putting any name through the mud and causing a lot of harm.
@@fuchsregen4794 But that just brings me back to my question of the point of the interview. It doesn't seem like it accomplished much of anything, aside form rehashing information we already knew and giving Sherry an opportunity to claim she's changed.
@@jasonjason9270 I think anyone should be given the opportunity to change. However, leaving the victims unheard or disregarding their wishes is the main problem for me. I think if the vicitims would have been respected or at least interviewed as well, this would have potentially a different "taste" to it. Anyone should be given a chance to better themself. Punishing people who own up to their mistakes should be rewarded. I just doubt SP is really at a point of really owning up for it. Admittedly I don't know how SP could make up for what she did. Maybe doing charity work for organizations that help victims? Idk. In the end, the victims have to believe and forgive SP - we can only support them. I just hope the victims will find help, overcome any issues, and are able to move on. I hope SP finds a way to bring positivity into the world and makes up for her wrongdoings.
If Sherry had any integrity, she'd put in an application down at Kroger and leave us out of it. ** Queue clip of Tyra Banks yelling at Tiffany from top model **
Yeah I wonder what she's doing for money to live on. But honestly I don't want it to get out because people would harass her out of a job. Even criminals need to earn an honest buck somehow.
So I feel that Tamron actually did an amazing job and not really sympathezing with Sherry’s actions but forcing Sherry to be accountable for them. She didn’t let Sherry get and excuses and she wanted to learn if Sherry had really changed. Sherry Pie will NEVER get replatformed, because everyone In the drag race fandom or at least fans of the show are aware of her allegations and I think that will constantly trump whatever she tries to do drag wise in the future . However I felt that Tamron did a wonderful job at not only getting us what we wanted to hear, but not holding back. I feel maybe the term catfishing should be more specific like she wasn’t JUST A catfish she was a whole like sex scheme. But yeah Tamron did great and Sherry still won’t have a career for a long time... no matter how much material she prepares 😂
When David Letterman held Lindsay Lohan accountable for repeated drunk driving, people felt the same way, at the time. They were glad to see her held accountable. Nowadays, though, he's called evil and she's treated like an innocent victim.
@@derpyburgerjr.5634 @@derpyburgerjr.5634 Really? It's called accountability. Lindsay Lohan was drinking and repeatedly getting behind the wheel and plowing into other vehicles. She also beat the living hell out of her girlfriend and sent her to the hospital, and tried numerous times to claim someone else was behind the wheel or that stash of coke belonged to someone else instead of owning up and taking responsibility. Better to have her assistant arrested than her? No. On top of all that, she was gaming the court system, skipping court dates, getting the judge to allow her rehab instead of jail time and then checking out of rehab after a day, and by the way, as of 2015 had only completed 20 hours of the 250 she was given several generous years to complete. If you don't want to support Sherry Pie, then don't go to the show. But, Sherry Pie has to earn a living at some point. And, people would be trying to cost this person their job now, no matter what job that is. Sherry Pie has to eat and pay bills, just like everyone else. I appreciate you clarifying the severity of Joey's crimes. As someone who did actually look up what happened when I started watching season 12, I was unclear as to what exactly the situation was. Absolutely appearing out of drag is going to create separation between his crimes and his drag persona. Especially the way he did. This was 100% calculated on Joey's part to launch him back into good favor in the public eye (in my opinion)

As someone with BPD I almost lost my shit when Allison said 'not to blame it on my mental health' (BPD had nothing to do with control, you manipulative turd) and was very relieved when Tamron said they wouldn't let them.
Based on my knowledge of what he did, which isn't complete tbh, that would be pretty hard from a legal perspective to prosecute. I don't think they could get anything to stick beyond some misdemeanor fraud charges. Sometimes evil things aren't illegal things.
@@supahmoneymagnet I hope you never have to deal with sexual abuse in your life, and this is coming from someone who has. Stop blaming the victims. Get your head out of your ass and stop blaming victims of SEXUAL ASSAULT, HARASSMENT and ABUSE. Regardless of the victims sending explicit photos, they were still coerced by Sherry/Joey to do so.
It really infuriates me when public figures pull the mental illness card in an attempt to justify their horrific behavior. Having a mental illness does not make you a bad person. BEING a bad person, makes you a bad person.
Mental health can be an explanation for shitty behavior, but not an excuse for it. Mental health can not be used to justify hurting other people. If someone has a mental illness, they should seek treatment, especially if they are unintentionally hurting other people. Sherry Pie’s actions were intentional, predatory, and abusive, and there is no excuse.
I feel for all the victims of this. I can’t even imagine how they feel from their day to day lives. What Sherry did was not ok. My heart goes out to the victims, if they are reading this. I hear you, I see you, and I feel for you.🤎
I would say Uber driver is probably far too much of an opportunity to be abusive to be honest. Nothing involving being alone with people who might be vulnerable, and nothing that involves having access to people's personal contact details (so not a deliver driver either). And if that makes it a struggle to find work that's his OWN FAULT.
OK but here's the thing with BPD. (I live with it.) It's a really profoundly awful mental illness. You have extreme and awful switches in mood, related to fear of abandonment and abuse. When you're in a dark place, you fear the worst about people you care about and you do act out in ways that literally are controlling, and often abusive. In the early years of my current relationship, before I found and dedicated myself to really effective treatment, when my illness was effectively untreated, my partner had to bear the brunt of my often really drastic, unpredictable and distressing behaviour. She was very good at setting limits and holding space for me that allowed me to feel what I was feeling in a way that didn't harm her. I'm eternally grateful that she could see the good in me that I never could - I now manage my own mental illness and rarely tip over into those dark places now. BUT it's really important to remember that whilst BPD often stems from chronic abuse and trauma, and the people who suffer from it are often doing their best in what feels like a very dark world, we do often do things that are harmful and sometimes abusive. Not acknowledging that and trying to force through a narrative that people with BPD are really great people is... wilfully blind. It's not the only side to the story, and it's important to acknowledge just how awful and severe a condition it is, but Sherry saying he wanted 'control' - that resonated with me. I was just lucky to be in a place and with a person who could push back on that and hold me to account. I was also self aware enough to have some limits. Not many and not great, but I am so, so glad that most of my worst behaviour was directed only at myself. BPD doesn't excuse Sherry's abusive behaviour at all. It possibly explains some of it. He still needs to learn to do better, and tbh CBT is not going to cut it. CBT is useful for mild depression and anxiety. For BPD you need long term, intensive, really focused psychiatric care that CBT just doesn't provide so...
I’m ashamed to have the same diagnosis as them. It only makes the stigma on the illness worse. I don’t hurt people I’m close to like that, I don’t sexually prey on people close to me. What I feel are extreme emotional highs and lows with fear of abandonment sprinkled in, not “lets sexually exploit the people closest to me”
Please don't feel ashamed. He is using his diagnosis to exonerate himself. I have bipolar disorder. Many bad people commit crimes using this as a shield for their actions.under. He needs to truly confess to his crimes & accept the consequences. He needs to go away. Peace & love
I found it weird how she mentioned the R Kelly interview when defending her decision to do this. Before Gale King interviewed him, she talked with the victims who came forward, plus there was the “Surviving R Kelly” documentary about the victims and their families. So, they gave a platform to his victims before they talked to him, something Tamaron didn’t do
I totally feel that the show glossed over the severity of what he did, and needed to give the victims a platform. Question: Is Joey/Sherry Pie still in possession of the videos they took of the victims?
Hi Gorgeous, have I told you how much I am loving THIS new content. Thank you so much for your informative and teaching moments. MOST appreciative ❣️❣️❣️
Yeah, I hate this, so so much. That he even has the fucking audacity to not stay away from the spotlight, he must have a very weird way to look at his actions and think it's a good thing to go out and talk about it, and it sounded like he wants people to feel sorry for him. I don't even want him working anywhere..I know people like him doesn't change.
I am so happy that the interviewer wasn't gonna let him get away with even trying to blame his actions on his mental health People blame their actions on their mental so often and it makes those who have serious struggles with mental health look bad
Thank you for covering this so tastefully. I ready appreciate your delicate take with these more serious videos. I have to say it brings a smile to my face every time I see your face in our out of drag. Thank you for what you do 💋
I don’t think there’s an easy answer for “what do we do with an abuser once they’ve been deplatformed”. When it comes to people like Sherry Pie or Jonny Craig, people who *use* their platform and their celebrity and fame (even if it’s not on a grand scale) to abuse people... the answer seems obvious to take that power away from them... but at the end of the day, an abuser is still an abuser. Just because we strip them if their platform and celebrity doesn’t mean they can’t continue to go on and abuse people (now in quiet). And look at how Sherry Pie chose to hurt her victims- even if we deplatform her, what’s to stop her from doing the same exact shit again (since she was hiding behind a fake persona to begin with when contacting and abusing her victims). I think maybe fame and celebrity (no matter how small or local or large and grand) prevents victims from feeling as though they can come forward with the abuse (because they feel like no one, especially fans, will ever believe them) but I don’t think stripping an abuser who is a celebrity to some degree of their fame and platform will stop them from abusing people (like many people seem to think).
what hurts me most is that *as* someone with borderline personality disorder (bpd) I'm afraid that this interview will have a negative connotation. I will never respect or forgive 🍒🥧 for their actions. I remember when the allegations came out when S12 was announced that 🍒 seemed to be using her mental health as an excuse. it's disgusting that people are giving her a platform again. this whole situation makes my blood boil.
Some victims don't like to speak about it after an event like this happens. Which is understandable, but its nice to see other people with platforms speak out about it like Jackie, Bussy and Ben (and everyone else who has)
@@ryleekelly4479 Those who are comfortable sharing their story should get the chance to but you are of course absolutely right that not everyone wants to talk about what happened to them.
As a victim of abuse and also someone with bpd, I don't like sharing a diagnosis with them. I and all the other people I know personally who have bpd have never exhibited behaviour of that kind in any way at all. Makes me feel icky and ashamed to have this diagnosis even more than I already did lol
I am glad the interview was done out of drag, if it had to be done at all. While that might separate the character from the accusations, it also doesn't allow this to become a joke. Imagine seeing Sherry Pie in full camp drag makeup doing that same interview? Two things would happen, the first is that it would become farce almost instantly because Sherry has such a camp aesthetic that the severity would be downplayed and second (and god I hate that this thought went through my head but we all know it'd happen)... a man in a dress would be sitting on TV talking about how he abused people by pretending to be a woman, imagine how many transphobes would grab that and make a meal out of it. If this interview had to exist, at least sherry's feet were placed on the fire and it had to be confronted as the person instead of the character... though, yeah, would've been good to have at least a few victims there to explain the severity of the situation.
Thank you for making this video. I don’t have Instagram or Twitter so I wasn’t sure what was going on, besides someone responding to a YT post I made. 🍒 doesn’t deserve a platform at all, and I hope that someone does an interview with the victims, on network tv, to give them support and let others know what 🍒 is truly like
Hey comments I’m not condoning or saying what Joey (Sherry Pie) did was right or no way ok but we are not god more to the fact are we perfect. We are saying don’t judge lgbtq people but you guess are doing just that. Not only that I think that we should normalize making mistakes even big ones like this because we can’t change the past it’s all about what’s going on right now sherry brought a different take on drag and touched few if not more hearts and I can’t help but respect that aspect of her even tho she made a few mistakes she shouldn’t have to give up drag . Tyra threatened thousands of innocent lives and we can get over that but something that someone has admitted to and owned up to we can’t I vote to give her a chance and pray she writes her wrongs in red .
I totally agree with what you just said. I think it’s sad to see to give up on her. What she did is horrible but as LGBT+ community, we ought to be inclusive and help people re-enter society after committing these terrible things. « Ye have heard that it hath been said, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth: But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also ».
I admire the structure and context of how you explained this! This is a rough case to follow so it’s great to see someone share thoughts on guidance! 💜
I think he deliberately did the interview out of drag so viewers will subconsciously (or not) put a separation between him and his drag persona. I believe this was a calculated move and makes me sick to think anyone could do something so awful. My love goes out to all the people affect by these horrible actions, as someone who has personally experienced sexual and psychological abuse, no one and I mean NO ONE should ever have to deal with such horrors 💖
How can Joey help his community when the community doesn’t want anything to do with him? I think Joey needs time to heal I don’t think he will come back as sherry but who knows 🤷🏽♂️ at the end of the day I will never put my time into someone else’s life 😂 that interview changes nothing sherry is still cancelled so all the crying was unnecessary.
I think the "sneaking in" is a bit of an overreaction, although it's not completely out of the blue. Sherry's never gonna get a platform or gigs, so there's nothing to worry about there. And the interviewer made it clear she isn't giving sherry much of anything besides a simple interview, the same way other criminals get interviewed/interrogated. Joey should've just chosen a later time to even consider trying to come back in the spotlight. Maybe like a couple more years. He said he tried reaching out to a couple victims already, so he's already taking steps in trying to make amends to the best of his abilities, we just don't really need to know that or even be updated cuz we don't really care lol. We didn't need the interview, and Joey didn't need it the journey to being a better person and making amends, so I guess it really just boils down to that 1)The interview was unnecessary, and 2) we shouldn't be this concerned about the interview either and it's not a gateway to her getting her platform back. She's never getting it back.
I'll just say this: U don't remove the pie from the trash can when it's rotten. I wasn't happy about the interview. I sended hate to Tamroll and i regret it. The biggest problem is that the media are ignoring the issue and try it to play it down and let's be honest it even made Tyra Sanches look like an angel. This is NOT okay. But PLEASE: Don't send hate to Tamroll and don't send hate to .... (I know it's hard. I also wanna write her the nastiest thing on my mind but I don't do it). Love u bussy for spreading the topic and goodnight.
Thank god i found this channel because Jakeyonce is slacking hard plus you aren't loud and obnoxious. Sherry looks like he's been eating well at least.
Dare I say that It's also kinda offensive using "she/her" to refer to such a horrible male. We're not talking about a drag persona anymore, we're talking about a white cis male that does what white cis male privileges allow them to do...
Fuck off with your white male priviledge comment. As if any other race do not sexually exploit anyone ever even when they do not have the power. Idiot.

Just don’t understand why we have to keep using her name/giving her attention. We don’t have to talk about her appearance on the show; we can turn our focus back to the victims and give them the space + platform to speak if they want to
In a way, him appearing out of drag is good, because then it let's more people know what he looks like out of drag so he doesn't get employed therefore not advancing his career further
As a gay man who has been diagnosed with BPD, this scares me to think that Sherry being known for her diagnosis will also contribute to some of the stereotypes of people who similarly deal with this disorder. I function as a highly analytical individual who tears apart the motivations for actions and emotions at the seam. I hold myself to a high moral standard for the things that I do and the way I approach and interact with people. BPD has become a catalyst in my life for becoming a better and more compassionate person knowing directly how it influences me as an individual. It exacerbates the anxiety that I experience and feeds into cyclical periods of depression that cause me to act out in ways not necessarily aligned with who I seek to be as a person, but I am aware enough of my actions to know when to step away or stop behavior well before it gets out of hand. My right to swing my arm ends before someone else's nose. You are entirely responsible for your actions and therein, the consequences of such. I truly wish that this can become something similar for Sherry as it has for myself, but it does not excuse her actions or wipe the slate clean in any capacity. I hope this can be a means of remediation and that we can see active change, but in my opinion, the damage is done, and she is entirely responsible for the fallout. Mental Health is never a blanket excuse for your actions, even if it is at base, an influencer. I am saddened by her actions and my heart goes out to her victims.
I 100 percent agree with you, we as a community need to make sure to call it what it is and to avoid giving her a platform, we shall not forget that one of our own dis these terrible things. My sympathy goes out to the victims, NOT the abusers. Thank you for doing this video, Bussy. It was awesome!
Thanks Bussy! You pose a great question. I have a really hard time with "erasing" people from society and that feels like what people want. Yes, I totally agree Tamron should have spoken with the victims ahead of her interview with Sherry/Joey. Now I'm thinking what the heck is Sherry/Joey supposed to do now? It's like people expect for Sherry/Joey to just disappear. I feel strongly that Sherry/Joey should be held accountable for all wrongdoing however I do not think this means Sherry/Joey should crawl under a rock, never be seen again.
Thank you for putting all of this together in such a succinct and organized way. I had no idea of the abuse beyond the catfishing and the photos thing. Gross.
We live in a “cancel culture” rather than one that allows for growth from regrettable mistakes. He has confessed and sought forgiveness- he apologized for and will likely continue apologizing for something that regrettably goes on more often than we’d all like to admit. Who in the gay culture hasn’t experienced cat fishing or other toxic, maladaptive behavior? When does persecution meet recognition of growth? Can we allow room for forgiveness in our community in light of an observable self-redemptive process? I don’t have the answers, but it’s something to think about!
Absolutely. I don't see all the shitty people I met on my journey getting canceled from life. Things happen, people do mistake, people pay for them and can even change. This whole fuzz is getting annoying.

Oh wow! I never really understood what Sherry Pie did. All I knew was she was "catfishing" because the articles I read all said that. That is so sneaky and misleading
I suppose part of what she did was technically catfishing, but that was the least of it. What she did in reality was even worse.
He manipulated people desperate for acting roles into taking steroids, among many other things. Just as a for instance
He was catfishing. That is exactly what happened. Am I missing something here?
@@umeshvaghjiani822 I think it's more accurate to say the catfishing was the least of her transgressions. She used the catfishing to commit far worse sins. So just saying catfishing gives the wrong impression - that it wasn't so bad. When it was worse.

I think we should, but that’s just me
Tamron was just doing her job as a journalist.
I think Bens post was right these kinds of crimes against the gay community aren't taken seriously.
Drag is most often a character and we saw that on RPDR with SP inflections and stuff changing in drag
Should they appear in drag to defend their actions it would be easier for them to distance from their actions since without the make up they look like a different person
Omg this is the best comment ever
Not to mention it would be very weird to have such a serious conversation while he’s in character.
Plus, it might give the idea that they’re giving him a platform to promote his drag career.
I think having him out of drag was 100% the right call.
Agreed - drag does NOT make some one a bad person and for many people it is such a healing and joyful pursuit. Also, Joey is terrible, not the Sherry Pie character. If Joey never performed again or adopted a new drag persona, those actions are still ones for which Joey is accountable.
he doesn't deserve to have the mask of sherry to hide behind. Sherry didn't cause this pain, Joey did
TBH, I don't think airing an interview with an abu5er is the same as giving that person a platform, but the producers did need to make that clear before giving Sherry Pie any air time (and I mean both Tamron and RDR's producers, cause that disclaimer at the beginning of every episode was very vague).
And listening to what Sherry had to say, I think it sounds way too calculated and similar to what she had to say last year (just a few weeks after Allison Mossey last e-mails). Guess she's trying to craft a cute redemption story.
I'm pretty skeptical because she hasn't come further in the last year. That makes me wonder if she will ever truly change.

You bring up a good question: where should a Sherry Pie go and earn a living? Mall cop? Uber driver?
mall cop
mall cop
Miss thing should just stick to her roots and continue to be the clown that she is
KFC drive-thru for all I care
Oh my god she's back..if anyone comes across her, please please be careful!!

The way I clicked this video 😭🤣
Heyyy
@@Nobootsmama hiiii
I found it weird how she mentioned the R Kelly interview when defending her decision to do this. Before Gale King interviewed him, she talked with the victims who came forward, plus there was the “Surviving R Kelly” documentary about the victims and their families. So, they gave a platform to his victims before they talked to him, something Tamaron didn’t do
I totally feel that the show glossed over the severity of what he did, and needed to give the victims a platform. Question: Is Joey/Sherry Pie still in possession of the videos they took of the victims?
they need to “FBI OPEN UP” his ass
I now realize that sentence is a weird double entendre 😂
I’m SO glad that I came to your page because GURL the way I clicked this video with the quickness
What would we do without your investigative journalism? Hope you are doing ok with that crazy weather. Love you Bussy 💜
Hi Gorgeous, have I told you how much I am loving THIS new content. Thank you so much for your informative and teaching moments. MOST appreciative ❣️❣️❣️
I'm not buying it. Yet again the victims are left without a voice & silenced. Nope. Not right.
As soon as I read the title, I said “not today Satan” UGH NO
Yeah, I hate this, so so much. That he even has the fucking audacity to not stay away from the spotlight, he must have a very weird way to look at his actions and think it's a good thing to go out and talk about it, and it sounded like he wants people to feel sorry for him. I don't even want him working anywhere..I know people like him doesn't change.
Thank you fir the vid so that no one else gives those ppl views 😫💝
I am so happy that the interviewer wasn't gonna let him get away with even trying to blame his actions on his mental health
People blame their actions on their mental so often and it makes those who have serious struggles with mental health look bad
The way I cackled at sherry’s last name thinking bussy being shady until I googled it’s actually their last name 💀💀Chile the scream I let out
Thank you for covering this so tastefully. I ready appreciate your delicate take with these more serious videos.
I have to say it brings a smile to my face every time I see your face in our out of drag.
Thank you for what you do 💋
oh i know He did not just try putting his actions on BPD. As someone with two brothers with bpd i know they would be miserable if they saw this
I don’t think there’s an easy answer for “what do we do with an abuser once they’ve been deplatformed”.
Always informative! Great stuff, thanks! So well put in every video.
when jackie posted about that on her instastories i thought i was seeing things! it's absolutely insane that she's out there and not the victims!
I wonder if some of the new york queens on drag race knew what was going on? I've always been suspicious about that.
allegedly Willam did
@@loucupurdija3790 Willam is definitely the type to not give a fuck about it. Not surprised
My heart goes out to the victims that now have to deal with their abuser getting a 'redemption arc' instead of seeing justice.
“They might not ever even look it up”
Me: *found this video by looking it up*
I am glad the interview was done out of drag, if it had to be done at all.
Sending love to you, Bussy ❤️
Thank you for making this video. I don’t have Instagram or Twitter so I wasn’t sure what was going on, besides someone responding to a YT post I made. 🍒 doesn’t deserve a platform at all, and I hope that someone does an interview with the victims, on network tv, to give them support and let others know what 🍒 is truly like
This was really well articulated, thank you
Hey comments I’m not condoning or saying what Joey (Sherry Pie) did was right or no way ok but we are not god more to the fact are we perfect.
Periodt.
Was she a breakout star though? 🤔
no
@@dallasbernieri9156 exactly. Edited out yes. Breakout no.
She wasn't a breakout star at all. When I think of breakout stars on Drag Race I think of Vanjie, Shangela, Baga Chipz, Valentina, Tamisha
I admire the structure and context of how you explained this! This is a rough case to follow so it’s great to see someone share thoughts on guidance! 💜
As someone with BPD, I'm rather perplexed as to why people hide behind this mental disorder >.
I'll never support Sherry Pie.
So sad tbh, thank you for sharing all this Bussy and speaking out.
thankl you so much for this video i never uderstood what had happend
Thank you so much for speaking up on this.
Hi Bussy!!! Glad to see your face gal. 🖤🦖
Thank god i found this channel because Jakeyonce is slacking hard plus you aren't loud and obnoxious. Sherry looks like he's been eating well at least.
Fat shaming isn’t cute 😐
Dare I say that It's also kinda offensive using "she/her" to refer to such a horrible male. We're not talking about a drag persona anymore, we're talking about a white cis male that does what white cis male privileges allow them to do...
Fuck off with your white male priviledge comment. As if any other race do not sexually exploit anyone ever even when they do not have the power. Idiot.
I agree wholeheartedly. Referring to his drag persona instead of him personally kind of disconnects his actions from him as the person he is behind sherry pie
what does his race have to do with this? lol
Joey uses he/she / they pronouns out of drag tho
@@k.k.2191 this is why this fandom is trash. so out of touch and always ready to scream white cis male privilege. i'm a white cis male and how dare this user group me with sherry??
I couldn't bring myself to watch the interview. thanks for making this
I know I'm late to the party, but Amen! I think I LOVE you! :P Keep up the great work
Just don’t understand why we have to keep using her name/giving her attention.
Im suprised that jakeyonce didnt come out with a video thanks BUSSY!!!
Bussy always up to date & factually backed up!
I love the way that Tamron actually interviewed her
Ily bussy yeeeee 💙
much love to you
Thanks cuz I'm nosey but will never click on her!!!
Thank you for putting all of this together in such a succinct and organized way. I had no idea of the abuse beyond the catfishing and the photos thing. Gross.
Bussy turning into a drama tea channel and I’m here for it.
I LOVE THIS!!! I %100 AGREE!!!
Absolutely. I don't see all the shitty people I met on my journey getting canceled from life. Things happen, people do mistake, people pay for them and can even change. This whole fuzz is getting annoying.
@was it worth it dummy cancel culture aside, I don’t think you are grasping the actual content of my comment as you’re focusing on that phrase.
What happened to the NBB and Elliott videos?
I’m glad you’re making these videos, cause uh... Other “drag drama” channels are MIA.
I am living for the name bussy 🤣
