Hey guys thanks for the shout out lol. Really happy to help. Only last night I was tossing up selling my boat and getting something like you have to travel in a bit more comfort. I'm not surprised you want a table and chair to do your work. Maybe you should bite the bullet and get something from Bunnings and set up the annex and use that space for working. I do get that wind can be a factor though. Wouldn't it be nice to have everything lol. Don't forget though that money can't come close to paying for the great experiences your having and the memories (good and bad) that you will have forever.

We have got a table and chair for outside but to be able to work inside sometimes would be awesome!! Everything is a compromise haha totally agree with ya! Can’t have everything!

Had mine for 12 months now, everything is all good so far... except the gas heater will not light on the last trip, then when i tried the cook stove the gas would not light. Rang them up and yes the service is a lot better. Just waiting to get a book in date to get seen to. The gas is at the back bayonets as my webber works. So not too sure. Good to know you have given it a bit and the only issues are cosmetic, and most of these items are all the same near enough in these campers. I love the bed, being 6'5" it's awesome. Yes Sarah my wife loves the ensuite!!! and she is all good with the potty talk. Great review, honest with without the stabbing knife talk. 10/10

Thank you it was a great video very helpful, the Tanami 11 looks good. I may go however with the Tanami x15 L. But I think I will put it into a caravan maintenance workshop for mods such as better solar, more batteries, better hitch, better TV aerial, stronger frig slide, grease up hinges etc. also upgrade suspension to heavier shocks. A dust suspension system is an obvious must.
I will do a couple of short hard corrugated roads as a tough shake out before doing an extended trip to try to iron out any susceptible design or construction flaws.
I think Austrack is fine for the price but with some pre trip shake out hopefully the potential issues can be mostly eliminated during an extended expedition and post trip analysis, assessment and rectification maintenance activity.
In any case it is all a learning experience and someone famously once said life wasn’t meant to be easy, but it can be exciting and I think you guys are doing a great job helping all of us, vicariously living your amazing adventures in the great Australian bush. Thank you.

I'm glad I stumbled over your video. Great honest review guys. Best one yet for the Tanami X11.
We also have the Tanami X11 and agree the ensuite is brilliant.
On the Lithium, we went with Enerdrive 200 AH and DC2DC charger, so all Enerdrive. With that you can access the battery power with an iphone App and it is spot on.
And dust? Wow, we had a carpet of red "paprika" dust over everything after our first trip to Western Queensland so invested in a Carafan. Brilliant, not a speck of dust now on any road now.
But the best item we purchased (and they are cheap) was a Stone Stomper. Please consider one as you will be amazed at the difference it makes protecting your van.
Again, thanks for a great video. I'll now have to go back through your other videos. Looking forward to that too.

@@SarahandKeelanTravels we love the Savannah X. Is a really solid unit. With the slide out it only takes a couple more minutes on setup. We never use the annex as it's just too much work. Replaced it with a 4.5x3 gazebo for longer stays and a 4x3 nylon fly that we had made up. I haven't had any issues worth taking it back to them for that I could remedy, so I can't comment on the after sales personally. We finally thought they pulled there heads in an started to actually reply to emails and get some head way and then gone again. Turn backed to horrible service. Couldn’t get our warranty because the quote from the repairer was a couple to many hours. So pretty much they said we can pay the repairer 4 hours of work to repair the van and the repairer wanted a full day, in the end we had to negotiate with the repairer and got his hours down a few and austrack still refused to pay more than 4 hours so we had to sort it out ourselfs :( that was the straw that broke the camels back

Anyone who tells you that they have had no issues with their new caravan is talking Crap! Even those 100K+ van have issues, talk to any grey nomad and all of them will tell you something has fallen apart etc etc..We have the kitchen inside and never used it in our travels around the prison island!. If you need to cook(well you make coffee) get a gas bottle and burner and make coffee inside, that's what I do when I'm in port lincoln and its blowing a gale(or one of those expensive gizmos(jetboil or kmart copy).
Our new cooking( we have not outdoor kitchen) gizmo is the gas frypan(bunnings and supercheap have them) . we use this for nearly everything. the poor old weber got only used twice in our last 8-week travel outing.

Hey Guys ... awesome Honest review!! ... but you guys are right (no not about Keelan Being the girl and wearing a skirt LOL), i mean about creature comforts ... inside seating cooking etc ... but that comes at less fuel economy towing bigger and maybe needing a bigger vehicle to tow it ... is there a way to extend your awning full length (like buy a new one or add an awning) and then enclose it with side walls etc? that would reduce some of the wind and give you more undercover room also maybe less bugs at cooking times. also maybe an idea to check youtube or google some of the broken stuff like the fridge slide catch, could be a real quick fix. You guys rocked this episode as you do with all i have seen!!

Cheers mate, hahah sometimes I feel like a girl with my hair haha 😂
Yep that’s right! More fuel more stress! So the van comes with a full enclosed annex but it takes far to long to put up! So we have only used it at Worroora station when we stayed for 2 weeks. A lot of crew rip the standard one off and add a 270 degree so awning walls can be easily attached!
Great idea mate I’ll have a quick look now! Thanks cobba really appreciate your comment Macka! See you on Saturday 🤙🏽🍻

Interesting review on your van guys! Most of us start off with something we can afford then build on that. We started with a Jayco Expanda, towed that up the middle and down the West Coast was an awesome van and suites our family of 5. Now we have an On The Move Traxx 17.6 just for me and my husband! Love it and miss camping! Keep enjoying your trip guys! How long until it’s over?

The Prado is technically a landcruiser... But not... 😂 It has the right badge. I see so many unsuitable vehicles towing big caravans, they look ridiculous. After this review I'll be looking at a 13 foot i reckon for the inside kitchen and seating. I am worried about the fuel economy though. My 2008 troopy is already pretty thirsty at 13-15L/100km 😬 cheers for the review.

Yep they are a good van! Survived the gibb and if you throw a dust fan on the top you’ll have no issues!!

Thanks we have been weighing up 11 and 13. 11 seems great for smaller areas and slightly less weight when towing. But 13 has seating area and more storage but weighs more. Couple of boys with us but they all sleep in swags. Looking at upgrading from rearfold hard floor. The ensuite idea gets a big thumbs up from wife.

We are picking up our Austrack tanami x11 beginning of May in Melbourne and heading off for a year of touring Australia!
I had a question concerning your towing vehicle..can you confirm it is a Toyota Land Cruiser Prado? Are you happy with its towing capacity in off-road conditions? We’re hesitating between this car and the more powerful V8 version, which of course is a step above budget wise…
