The new standards regarding batteries being in a sealed shut, vented to outside, enclosure doesn't just apply to lithiums. Lead acid batteries must also be in the same enclosure plus they also have to have a bunding tray under them.

I wish you could come and hook up my 12 volt system it’s pretty basic I already have the solar panel mounted but need to mount the battery and the DCDC charger and the battery monitor it has me confused what size wiring i need use for my solar panel because I feel it’s not thick enough compared to the cable that it plugs into the DCDC charger and what what size wiring do I need to plug my battery to the DCDC charger

i tow 2.5 ton Jayco van that's loaded with a nx Pajero tows nice good fual economy 16.5 p 100 hooked my van on Toyota v8 diesel cruiser towed nice but the economy was over 22 lt p 100 i tow in 4th gear .looking at the 3,2 ranger due to our electric bikes in the tub second hand .

Great info thanks. My question is if you have everything say under the bed or dinette, this includes chargers inverter etc that generate heat near your batteries and only vent to outside without allowing air flow in which i currently have things could get a little hotter than ideal for the batteries etc. any thoughts.

That was a great vid guys. Bullara stations looks like a lot of fun and a big party. I am also a huge beef fan so it would be right up my alley for a few days stay. The scenery and beach at Warroona stations looks awesome and the surfing footage is great. The drone footage of the beach and water with the boats was beautiful and always do like me a good Paul Kelly tune.

Thanks for the info on individual solar fusing. I recently built a camper with an unfused panel on the roof (wiring is capable of handling a full short circuit current with the wire size used and nothing flammable within the wire paths). I'm going to add an extra panel and fuse them both now!
