I think we probably enjoy your day day off as much as you do Sarah! You certainly get a lot done. I love the book cover idea especially for a handmade gift x

Hi Jackie. Thanks for watching. Ooh I love that book cover. Will be making more 😊
Very glad to catch up with you while I quietly have a little knitting time! The book cover turned out beautifully - I think they make books and notebooks extra special and feel so comfortable to hold! x
Hi Helen. Yes I’ll definitely be making more book covers. 😊
Sarah your book cover is lovely! So pretty and such a nice idea. They’d make a lovely gift - now we know what your family is getting for Christmas!
Hi Emma. Thanks for watching. Oh I’ll definitely be making more book covers. Great way of using up fabric 😊
Dinner looks delicious! I love that book cover. I used to make them many years ago but totally forgot about them. I think I will make one for my daily journal since I tend to always buy the same size notebook for that so I can just switch it to the new one when the time comes.
Hi Cheryl. Thanks for watching. Yes a book cover is so lovely on a plain note book. It’s so lovely to handle. I’ll definitely be making more 😊
So lovely to see you again Sarah & to see what you have been making ❤️. The book cover is gorgeous & looks so easy 👏. Your dinner looks so yummy too, I love sausages & mash with heaps of gravy. Our weather is still dry, & I can’t remember the last time we had rain…..I’m very envious of your rain at the moment. Cheers & thanks again for a lovely vlog 😍👏❤️💕🥰🤗
Hi Joan. Thanks for watching and your lovely comments. Give the book civet a go. It’s such a simple but effective pattern. It could be sewn by hand too. Dinner was delicious 😊

Elaine 🏠💕
Hi Elaine. Thanks for watching. Ooh I love the book cover too. Will definitely make more 😊
Lovely as always to spend time with you Sarah. I am always so inspired by how uncluttered your house is, the absolute opposite of ours which is impossible to keep clean and tidy, a big sort out is underway! Your book cover is smashing, what perfect fabric choices and a super idea for using fabric left overs. Hope you've had a lovely Easter weekend 😊
Hi Elaine. Yes the book cover is a quick and effective make. I’ll definitely be making more. We have always had a clutter free home. We don’t have ornaments or shelves, so yes it is much easier to clean. Everyone is different though and some don’t like the minimalist look. 😊
I enjoyed spending your day with you Sarah.
Dinner looked yum. The book cover is lovely. I might have to have a go at making one.
x
Hi Margaret. Thanks for watching. I’d highly recommend the book cover tutorial. It’s so quick and simple 😊
I love the book cover Sarah and I would imagine doing the top stitching made it a perfect fit. Such a lovely idea for gifts. Looking forward to seeing your tote bag. We’ve got all the family coming to lunch Sunday and I’ve prepared as much as I can today and just sat down with a coffee and a hot cross bun to enjoy your vlog. 😊
Hi Penny. Thanks for watching. Ooh I love the book cover. Yes the top stitching made it look more professional and a tighter fit. I’ve made two tote bags and will share on my next podcast. Love using up all my scraps 😊

Hi Jenny. Thanks for watching. Ooh building work creates so much dust. We clean once a week and it makes me feel good. I definitely need crafting to make up for jobs around the house 😊

❤
Hi Sarah! Love the book cover. Sweet fabrics. Your dinner looked yummy. Take care! 😊
Hi Sally. Ooh I love the book cover so much. So nice to use up odds and ends and turn them into something beautiful 😊
Hi Sarah, thankyou for sharing your day off. I’ve been doing some sewing over the past few days - just some new cushions covers and a table runner - and I’d love to have a go at the book cover, yours turned out beautifully. Happy Easter. Xx
Hi Carolyn. Thanks for watching. Isn’t it lovely that we can turn our hobby into making useful things too. Definitely give the book cover tutorial a go. It’s so easy 😊
What a lot you packed into one day! Happy Easter. X
Hi Anita. Thanks for watching. Always lovely to craft after cleaning 😊
Love, love, love your book cover, absolutely beautiful and so neatly sewn. Doesn’t your cardigan look gorgeous too?
Happy Easter weekend x
Hi Carol. Thanks for watching. Ooh I love that book cover too. Will definitely make more 😊
Lovely book cover. When I did Open Studios they were always a favourite seller.
Hi and thanks for watching. Yes isn’t it amazing that simple things are just perfect 😊
Always so nice to see what you’ve been making. I love the book cover. It was so crazy to see you using binding clips. I hadn’t used mine in ages and I just used them last weekend while I was sewing some cushion covers. I just was talking about it on my most recent vlog. Those clips were a life saver (or finger saver) as I kept stabbing myself with the pins!
Hi and thanks for watching. Yes I much prefer clips to pins. 😊
Just come across your podcast and loved it … thank you for podcasting x❤
Hi Carol. Thanks so much for giving my podcast a try. Glad you enjoyed it 😊
Hi Sarah, I always enjoy your Friday vlogs, it gives me a nice feel, knitting while I watch you enjoy your day. Your book cover is lovely - did the top stitching make the book cover feel like it fit better? It looked very professional! Your cardigan was very pretty too - I remember you creating that from different bits and pieces - it all matched so well. I like your makes. Hope you had a nice Easter break. 🤗🥰🇨🇦
Hi and thanks for watching. Glad you enjoy my Friday vlogs. Yes the top stitching made it a bit tighter. Really love it and will definitely make more. Thanks for the cardi compliment. It’s very cosy 😊
Good morning, Sarah. I’m always delighted by your resourcefulness. I’m amount to Google tutorials for making some hankies. I don’t have a serger so I’m looking for other ways to finish the edges. If you have any ideas, I’d love to hear them.
Happy Easter weekend
Hi and thanks for watching. Yes I do love using up all my odds and ends. If you don’t have an overlocker , the zigzag stitch is meant to be a useful alternative. I do feel lucky to have an overlocker as it gives such a professional finish 😊
