I love how you intentionally mispronounce words it’s a good touch and made the video very enjoyable to watch.
Love these budget builds. There's something so comforting about a fresh build, and it's even better when it didn't break the bank.
😏👍 Hell Yeah
I'm not much of an orange guy but it did strike a chord by reminding me of vintage furnaces when you put the cover on. Suddenly, it totally become a vibe and I'm 110% here for it! Great vid as always!
Nice of you to build the PC for him.
I am starting to realize you do not have to push the limits and only get the current high-end.
It is kind of nice, actually. I am thinking of building a mid level machine.
I haven't built a system for a long time.
This is the first time I am writing a comment only for viewers.
No matter how confident you feel with building a PC, never over-estimate your knowledge.
Always watch such videos. Even a tiny detail can make a substantial difference.
I'm sure he will like it can't wait to build a pc for a friend for the first time that has to feel amazing thanks for hanging out with me and keeping me entertained while I'm working 💪
Finally! A calm and relaxing pc build. Love the content very much!!❤
Very nice little budget build, I like the style.
3.9GB memory used by Winbloat out of the box 😂😂😂
Windows will suck up as much RAM as you provide.
Give it lots of RAM and it will feel no pressure.
Give it 8 or 4 GB and it tries to live within 50% of the RAM.. swaps.. and feels less 'snappy'.
oh nice, almost the same as my living-room / wife's gaming PC i build from used 2nd hand and new parts:
R5 3600 - 40€ (used)
b450m gigabyte - 40€ (unfortunately only 2 RAM slots) (used)
2x8GB 3000MHz Ram - 35€ (used)
430W Cortair PSU - 15€ (used)
RX 580 8 GB - 80€ (used)
Jonsbo C3 Plus Case - 55€ (new)
512 GB NVME - 40€ (new)
1 TB QLC Sata SSD - 70€ (new)
========
375 €
That being said, i love using 2nd hand parts. cuz i love building PCs and this way i cna do it in a more climate friendly way, so even if i only safe a little bit of money i ll go for the used parts. Though only buying if i can pick them up personally and speak to the seller
Nice setup for that price!
Finally a video for nubbies like my self, thanks for all the attention paid to explaining everything from what each part does to how to set them up.
Again, thank you!
I usually do a pea sized dot in the middle with a very small dot near each corner for a square IHS. For a rectangular IHS, I do the same but do a line down the middle, instead of the pea sized dot. I know it probably doesn't make any difference, but in my mind I feel like putting the little dots in the corner ensures that I'll get full coverage.
OOOOH! Looks fun!!
ok but i have mixed feelings about your voice its very punch able but also comforting thanks for the good video
Fantastic video as usual my friend :)
Thanks bud!
Nice! I'm really glad that video card found such a noble purpose
I usually make a cross with the thermal paste.
I also like to go for a bigger ssd instead of a hdd. I don't even use hdd's on my own pc's anymore.
Wow, these magnetic led strips are cool!
Now that's one lucky buddy! Also that cable management is hireable in my book.
8:55 wow a face reveal
be gamer... be orange
Pretty solid
Black and Orange is 🔥!
Nice video, got me inspired to build a budget gaming PC for the living room with some spare parts I have.
That's what I like to hear!
😒👍 Nice, I did something similar, I have builds in every single bedroom, and one in the kitchen, and one in the living room, and one in the man cave basement
@@MrSamadolfo I'm undecided on keeping Windows or doing a Steam OS or Batocera setup. Windows is going to be much more flexible while Steam OS or Batocera would be more user friendly after full setup.
Probably Tiny11 Windows with Retrobat as front end would be best.
2:29 Thanks! I had no idea what a "boxing" day was!
I got the same case, only in purple. That's what the wife wanted. Was great to build in, but I agree, the part about the CPU power cable not having a hole to come from the back and over like more modern cases offer was a prickly point. Still 4/5 stars for it.
I like the look of the purple one too 💜
Also; I've always installed the motherboard into the case first, then added the components and cables afterward. I've always been scared I'm going to crack something pulling the CPU and fan on the motherboard. Seems like the smarter thing to do is install everything on the motherboard first, THEN install the motherboard into the case. I'm actually learning quite a few things from this video!
I built my friends son his first pc with a 10100f and an XFX RX580 and it’s great.
Bro it's the best budget build I've seen
Thanks buddy!
The timing!
I got my friend that specific case but with the white & black version. It's not a bad case, its just that there isn't any PSU shroud so cable management is hard.
Just looked on amazon and a silicon power m.2 is only 20.99 and the same 2.5 ssd is 17.99 so i would totally go with the m.2 instead (500mb/s with the reg ssd vs 2000mb/s with the m.2 is a no-brainer for just a couple bucks more) Other than that its all good. of course maybe that wasnt the case when you originally bought everything.
🙂 looks like a decent build, I just checked my local Microcenter, that cpu and motherboard combo is $42 cheaper compared to 12100F combo, I checked some game benchmarks on utube and the 12100F will run faster in every single game out there, however the difference might not be so much since ur running an rx 580. And a headsup, Adrenalin just go a new release a couple days ago, the version is 23.2.1 , download it today, it covers all cards all the way back to the 580
Thanks for the tip about Adrenalin!
Hey! Your Windows USB Stick is the same as my Windows USB Stick! Great video
Thanks buddy!
FYI - I also bought this case and the front panel jumpers for power switch and reset switch were labeled backwards. In "case" this happens to someone else, be sure to check that out.
Good to know!
@4:17 Oh snap... I genuinely didn't know this. Good thing I didn't seal my computer's case today as I just fixed the motherboard's driver issues after doing a CMOS reset (a Windows 10 service was BLOCKING MY NIC). I thought spacing out the RAM was just for airflow/keeping things not so hot. Time to casually just re-order my sticks of RAM now...
Thanks for saying so! I'm always unsure of what kind of tips to drop, glad to know I made a good choice with that one 👍
I just spent the past three days frustratingly troubleshooting my PC after a Windows Update destroyed most of my motherboard's drivers.
I did EVERYTHING to try to fix it, knowing it wasn't a physical hardware issue. Realtek PCIe drivers weren't even appearing on my computer anymore and redownloading them (through my phone) also wasn't working. I flashed the BIOS, reinstalled Windows 10, I even tried unplugging and replugging in the ethernet cable. The worst part was when my GPU covered my motherboard's CMOS pins and battery, so I basically had to dismantle the entire build just to reset the CMOS and pull the sticks of RAM off, hoping ANYTHING would fix or reset my motherboard's drivers.
Turns out the Windows 10 update simple disabled a Service that was required by my motherboard to work properly. Turning the service from Disabled to Automatic and... magically my motherboard's NIC instantly began working.
I was so mad.
I might have built this computer originally in 2015 for $500 Canadian, but I have made plenty of upgrades to it since. The only OG parts still on it are the motherboard, processor, and case. Sure, the motherboard might have been released in 2012 and they discontinued support for it in 2018, but as long as I take care of it and it still works, I shouldn't need to build a new computer! But if I do... I'll be using this video for advice and newegg dot see eh' for my purchases.
tldr; Hardware yes, software BOOOOO
Oh man what a gauntlet for such a simple fix! Glad you got it sorted
I bought a 580 from Aliexpress - same one you got and was so cheap! having lots of fun :)
The 580, still going strong in 2023!
I have a similar case that I got from new egg black and orange is a color combo i just really like
3:37 I usually use the included spatula, to spread thermal paste *ALL* the way out to the edges, just like mayo on a turkey sandwich.
😒👍 thats what I do too, anything less is unacceptable 😉
@@MrSamadolfo I’m sure there’s more than one way to skin that cat, but my OCD won’t let me do anything else.
benchmarks for modern warfare 2 mulitplayer? love the build thanks!
looks really good td, some great deals too. make sure no drives are plugged into a port that gets disabled if he ever uses a m.2. might save him a headache!
Ooooh good call 👍
😒 whats up with that anyways, you give me all these SATA ports and then in the manual it says if you use this or that M2 then you cant use SATA in this or that slot, make it make sense!?! 😠
@@MrSamadolfo yep, and bonus if the disabled port was one that makes sense for cable management lol
I use a single dot spread out from the center as evenly as I can.
I also use noctua nth1
Orange is my absolute favorite!!!
It is the holy colour. The colour of gods. The colour of truth.
@@TechDweeb I could not agree more
Very cool. I do a lot of racing games, and I wonder how much more RAM could this thing take? I have 16 in my Asus Rog laptop but I know I need to upgrade soon. Great video, BTW. Orange also rules!
Oh you could go as high as you want. I don't think it'd make sense to go with more than 64gb here considering the rest of the components, and that would only be if you need it (video production work for instance).
@@TechDweeb thanks for the feedback :) I think 64 would be plenty for my needs. I meant to ask, how happy is your buddy with this one that you built this for?
6:25 "Storage device We have a 2Gb 3.5 inch Sata harddrive" - Is it only 2 gb my friend? XD
Haha oops
Your total off but pretty damn close not bad, Good Work
6:26 I think you meant to say "terabyte" here. A 2 GB hard drive in 2023 would maybe hold like three 2-D indie games. Lol
Doh!
😏 when I saw that case I thought you picked it up because it has a DVD Drive Bay and yeah KEEP IT OLD SCHOOL 👍
Would be interesting if you'd compare this build to the Series S, considering you're pretty close to its current price + XBL Gold. Get some comparison settings and such and and show if we're close to a 'console killer' yet when using used parts.
I love that idea! Actually my initial plan with these parts was to do a "I built a PC for the same price as a steam deck, let's see how they compare" video, but I just couldn't pull that together in time so I went with a simple build instead.
@@TechDweeb exactly, would fit perfectly for a 1080p Steam Deck replacement, which is very comparable to the Series S. everything I’ve seen regards the Steam Deck as Series S settings but at 720p/800p resolution and 30-40fps as the target.
is this cpu more powerfull then Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-2600? or less?
Totally. It's like 3x better.
It's way more powerfull. Nearly 50% more single core performance and 3 times more multi core performance.
Finally
I like your content and channel , but i also laugh everytime u call these super budget when we build our PCs under 100 bucks 😂
Thanks for another budget video, dweeb! Was wondering if maybe you'd do a video in the future with a pc installed with Tiny11? It's a debloated version of win 11 that is easy on system resources. Thanks again
😏 omgaw, is there a Tiny11? I usta run Tiny7 back in the day ☺🐢
YEAH! I'd love to check out Tiny11 sometime very soon. I love the idea.
There is no shortage of high end cpus. Its the "mature" chip tech like 40nm or older that is the shortage. The older chips of 10 years and more are used in everything like coffee-machines, dishwashers etc. The $4 chips are on high demand, thats where the chip shortage is.
will this be able to play sons of the forest?
Orange coin good #hodl
Another fucking awesome build!
We got a cheekbone reveal! Yaaay!
Just a friendly warning. From the things I've learned online, 3200MHz definitely isn't nice and stating such things puts you at risk of being cancelled by the angry mob. On the other hand, 69MHz is nice and failing to say so in this context is going to cause your eyes to bleed. At least that's what I've gathered from watching CZcams during the past months.
Next up: elbow reveal
It would have been cool to hook up a batocera hard drive to it and see what all it could emulate.
Yea, that would have been a great idea. 👍
I built a PC for a friend in this case. Ryzen 3 3100, RX 6600 8gb, A320 motherboard
Solid!
Plot twist, camera turns on the presenter..
Actually a Chad.
TechChad
I built a similar budget PC (400 euro which is almost the same as USD these days) but because I found a Z490 MSI Carbon EK watercooled board on Amazon warehouse for 71 euro I managed to do a i5-11400F/Z490/16GB DDR4/256GBSSD/1TBHDD/RX570 8GB build for the same budget. All built into a teeny-tiny Coolermaster cheapo Q500L again from Amazon warehouse. I got down to the price point by selling the EK water tester that came with the motherboard for 30 euro and sourcing an old Corsair semi modular bronze 650W PSU and the HDD used for 50 euro. It's unbelievably good for a machine that costs less than a PS5 and I even have the unused EK CPU waterblock sat around to use as a paperweight/desk decoration.
Theres a problem here somewhere, I just built a r5 1600/ rx 480 pc and I get 60 to 80 fps in BFV high settings, 40 fps in deadspace remake etc, you should be getting better numbers
Only issue I would have with your build would be the power supply, I have had to replace a few cheaper brand PSUs after they failed and luckily they did not destroy the entire system therefore I always buy the name brand ones . Perhaps AZZA is a name brand hiding an off brand box I dont know. Have you seen the Fractal Design FocusG case ? beauty of a case with different colors available and an almost automotive grade finish, one of my favorites, also the Rosewill S500 Prism with tempered glass and PSU bay in the top and 3 fans in the bottom pulling through an actual dust filter instead of pushing through on in the top of the case which never made sense to me . Great job getting those deals , I have managed to find some decent buys on Z590 platforms recently and built an MSI Z590 with an 11400 for a decent price
Yeah I don't mind the focus G. It's a big of an old-school aesthetic but I don't mind that. It's pretty good and super affordable. I haven't built in it yet but I really should give it a try because it's so popular.
@@TechDweeb I built a system for my son in law in the blue FocusG and its beautiful , reminds me of the old alienware cases of which I built a modern system in for my brother
about to ugrade my potato pc from an i7-2700k and an HD 6670 to an i7-3930k and an RX-580 myself, although i may have a bottleneck issue in most games. im only getting the rx-580 because its the same price as a rare HD 7970 gpu. sad.
i do find your CPU choice interesting, i had no idea they released a 4000 series i thought it was just 3000 and 5000 series for desktop. nice
Personally I consider 500GB to be the base minimum for a boot drive as of 2020.
256gb sata ssd works well for older systems and kicks ass on purposed retro builds but going forward 500GB is my base.
niiiice
I just realized you are the PG13 version of Blippi if he had a computer channel
I'm Blippi when he grows up
Lucky you! here in Greece new and even used stuff feels like black market! they are asking for a used 1050(non ti) 100+ eur
Yikes 😬
😒 yeah i feel you broh, most countries around the world PC Parts are a huge ripoff
also you cant use aliexpress or buy cheap stuff from china because custody will tear you apart! They charge whatever comes to their minds depending on their mood or you can get a discount price if yoy bribe them...God i am ashamed of my country!
I will say that the fan should have been flipped the other way so you don't block a ram slot with the AMD logo overhanging on the fan.
Good call 👍
@@TechDweeb Thank you good sir!
theres a PS Vita emulator for android , I think its the same developers that brought us the pc one
what mouse and keyboard is Dweeb using ? Anyone help ?
Skyloong SK61 and Corsair M65 RGB ELITE. I don't recommend either btw, I don't love the switches on the keyboard, and this mouse has a known issue where the switches wear out after about 9 months (I've replaced it several times via RMA).
Where'd you get that sweet sweet orange windows wallpaper?! :)
Don't recall. I just googled "orange windows wallpaper" tbh 😏
@@TechDweeb Fair enough, I could probably use the ye ol google :) Thanks!
TD have you dipped your toes into virtual pinball? Would love to hear your take on it.
Yeah a bit. Emulating real virtual pinball tables is a lot of work to setup but it's very cool when you have it all going. I have a potential mini tabletop virtual pinball machine in the works, it's my main 'project' for the first part of this year.
@@TechDweeb same here. I’m using a old MSI Trident PC and running a CoinOps pinball build. The hardcore VP building is way too intense and expensive.
is my gpu a rtx 2070 super to big for the ryzen 2600
Id say yes. Newer games like elden ring, cyberpunk, hogwarts, forspoken, etc all will still run great on your gpu but will be noticeably slowed down on the 2600. Older games not so much. Try to find a good deal on the 5600 or 5700(non x) and I think you will be surprised how much faster your pc feels. I just replaced my r5-1600 for the 5600 and its a big difference even though im just using rx6600
Azza kazzam Azza Kerplop...let's see if this Azza can pop!
sorry, had to do it
Got a rizen 5 3600 with a 7900 xtx lol
If you had a couple hundred bucks more to spend what upgrades would you go for ?
Fancy case, 3rd party cooler, better GPU like a 6600xt or 3060.
A 400 dollar ps5 can outpreform this pc.
I always wondered if I was the only one to sensually rub the CPU when I install it. I guess I am not alone after all!
For good measure 👍
The last touch for many years.
I am your viewer from Pakistan... i recently built a PC with i7 3770 and RX 560 4GB GPU with 128GB SSD and 1TB HDD for backup. It has 500 watt PSU to power things up. I hope it runs things good for a while. I built this system in 64000 rupees including a LCD monitor plus mouse and keyboard etc, which is equivalent to around 231 dollars today.... what do you say, can it handle 2023?
Yeah probably. I think the 560 will hold you back in some modern games but I wouldn't be surprised if I can handle most of what you would throw at it.
Well done for making do in your market.
In other markets the RX5600 is considered budget.
If only there was a way of sending the 'too old' hardware to other places where it would be appreciated.
😀 Broh, checkout the new Montech Sky Two, its the plebs version of the Lian Li 011 😏👍
Ooooh I really like that!
Pls next game benchmark is Warzone 2.0
6:26 i think you meant 2 Terabyte right? :DD not 2 gigabyte.... i mean i wanted cheap but not THAT cheap!
Haha yup. Doh!
why sata ssd? silicon power sells their a60 256gb m.2 ssd for 21 dollars, which is not much more and is a lot faster
That speed doesnt really matter for most uses.
@@peterpan408 it rlly does, especially if its cheaper or noy much more. at that low of a budget you have no money to waste
gg
Gigglebyte
What kind of build can I get with $800 dollars? I like something for GTA RP
Something like this would be great for GTA RP, but if you had a bigger budget I'd swap the 4500 for a 5600x, and swap the 580 for a 6600xt.
I had so manny RMA for SiliconPower SSD's. I dont like them :/
Good to know 👍
😒 as far as thermal paste I usually wip out my cute little cpu spatula if I can find it and try to spread the paste evenly across the whole surface, the reason is because if you ever see Pre Applied Thermal Paste on every cooler you but you will notice that its evenly spread across the cooler, you will never see a Blob as preapplied, therefore why would you ever do it otherwise? Make it make sense broh 😂
Yup. Good point.
Hi.
Yo
bro you sound like Donald Trump lol
Don't buy an rx 580 in 2023 ffs... It makes 0 sense. What games are you playing with it anyway: CS GO?
What games can this thing handle
I showed a few in the benchmarks at the end. It'll handle brand new games at 1080p low or med settings, slightly older games at 1080p high or ultra, older games at 1440p or 4k high or ultra, and modern esports games around 180fps.
@@TechDweeb would this setup work for things like gta online and escape from tarkov? Very new to this stuff
Definitely, those games should be no problem for this PC at lower settings.
@@TechDweeb I truly appreciate you bro! You always respond, trying to build a pc for my son, I’m a console gamer myself so again this is all new to me I appreciate you again bro cheers ( from one Canuck to another)
