Moral of the story: gamers come in all shapes, genders, and sizes.

I've been a gamer since the early 1980s, and I'm a "girl". You know why there weren't a lot of girls who played video games until more recently? First, someone in the video game industry decided they were for boys, so the marketing was all skewed towards boys. Initially, they were marketed to both, and there were about equal numbers of girls and boys who played. After the marketing switch, the numbers skewed, predictably, toward more boys playing than girls. Second, for the girls who did play video games, we were ostracized, made fun of, and once online gaming became popular, had so much sexist aggression thrown at us, that most of us went silent in our video game playing.

I'm lucky I had a brother one year older than me, he also always had the best toys, while I got dolls I never played with.
I'm on the other side where I still talk in games because I'd rather fight back on it. The best time though was when I grouped with nearly a full team of all girls and one rando who turned out to be one of "those guys". I spoke in team chat (the other girls were used to staying quiet) on where the enemy is, and he starts going off and being insulting that I'm a girl. Things like hips getting wider, breast growth, and general weight gain are all related too.

I am confused by the outfit. Considering the occupation of performer, it would perhaps be a good idea that the uniform that all cheerleaders wear are more modest. Perhaps not showing off their butts as much.
If it's something people choose to wear on their own, go ahead. But I'm think of this as a uniform for an occupation. Isn't cheerleaders traditionally wearing skirts? That seems like a good addition to the uniform to avoid having their butts as prominent. Some of the cheerleaders might be okay with the uniform, but if everyone is dressing equally, then being more modest is the way to go.
Obviously the old dude shouldn't take photos. But also the uniform should probably not be designed that way either.

    • @sarina76667
      @sarina76667 Před 6 měsíci +59

@@LiggliluffYour point is valid. From the perspective of the job requirements however, cheerleaders, professional dancers, and gymnasts who work in choreographed groups of 2 or more people tend to find themselves off the ground a lot. They don’t always find themselves off the ground by their own means either. Someone has lifted or thrown them into the air. Loose fitting clothing will make catching this airborne person or holding an elevated person nearly impossible. The risk of severe injury and even death goes up when the anchored person can’t get a proper grip on the airborne person. The material is of their uniform isn’t just designed to be attractive either. It’s similar to swimsuit material, so sweat and rain (if you’re at an open air event) is less visible for the sake of performance aesthetic, stays light weight and aerodynamic even when wet, and reduces the risk of injury when being thrown and caught by a team member. Even if the uniform includes a skirt, the skirt is short so that the excess material doesn’t interfere with the safety of the routine. Under that skirt is either the bottom half of a leotard or a pair of modest bikini bottom shorts of the same material that matches the uniform so when your skirt inevitably flies up you’re not exposing yourself to everyone. That’s why the uniforms are designed to be form fitting and made with swimsuit/leotard material.
The athleticism and risk of personal injury real cheerleading requires is on par with top gymnastics. One slip and that airborne cheerleader is on the ground with a broken spine and a snapped neck among other injuries.
I grew up in theater, opera and theatrical jazz dance. If we go by the motto “if you’re not bleeding before opening night, you haven’t worked hard enough”, just imagine what their motto must be.

In front of his wife. And two toddlers. I’m now nearly 26 and on top of a lot of other things said, I’ve realized I was also being groomed 🙃. I’m beyond glad my parents never gave up on trying to get me home even when the authorities wouldn’t do anything

Relationships are NOT transactions. Do not do something expecting something back and you do not owe anyone anything. You do something nice for someone to make them happy. If they don't make you happy, accept they don't like you, move on. If someone did something nice for you but you don't like them, that's their problem. Here's how relationships work:
"I did this for you because I like you"
"Oh, thank you, I like you too, so we can work together :)"
    Here's how transactions work:
"Is it okay if I do this and get a favor for it?"
    "Yeah, sure."

The Shrek one is a new level of atrocious, the creator really said "well obviously the solution to sexual assault is for women to become shut-ins who can't live their own lives or do anything for themselves" like that was a valid point. Imagine there were zombies outside that only attacked men, and when asked what to do about it you were told "welp, guess you'll have to just quit your job and all your outdoor recreational activities and stay indoors for the rest of your life and only go outside with an escort to protect you, nothing to be done." I think you'd be pretty pissed that you were expected to basically quit your life instead of people doing anything to get rid of the zombies.
ALSO, since the creator was obviously projecting heavily: maybe your daughter wouldn't have gotten "coked up" at a party if she had a better support system and didn't have to turn to untrustworthy people in order to feel loved

So, lesson 1 is to remember this when speaking to the female specimens, you should try to approach them like a human being.

So fun fact: Over a month ago an alpha incel messaged me on Reddit asking why i defend females so much and what they ever did for us (because everyone on Reddit is male) and why he can't get a girlfriend and because he's only 15yo and i have a helpers complex I'm still arguing against all odds since he's only repeating his "arguments" and just not answering the things that might be too critical for his worldview. So anyways, i encouraged him to just post an r/ask directed to women asking them what they want and he came back with two responses:
      1) women don't exist on Reddit, it bores them and they only use Instagram and TikTok
      2) Women often don't know what they want.
And it baffles me because if a woman says she wants a man who's funny and trustworthy and she doesn't want to sleep with him until a certain point and she wants to work as well then she's pretty clear about her wants. But I'm pretty sure the only instance he'd believe a woman to know what she wants would be if she wants everything he wants to "offer" in a relationship, which would make her severely mentally ill but that's not the point.
How about we create alpha females and spread false claims about men like that male orgasms don't exist and stuff? How would he feel if women only listened to women as these i wonder? Not too great i guess.

The funny but also upsetting thing about the bluetooth earbud "let's confuse the girls" one is that I've heard so many stories of women only having one earbud in specifically so they can hear their surroundings to avoid getting assaulted. So I think women may be more likely to understand the issue of one earbud having more charge than another...

My earbuds manual literally said not to wear both of them outside, so you can hear your surroundings, including the traffic. The one most confused now is my phone, as it now treat each earbud as separate device.

32:00 the only situation i can think of where you could possibly "owe someone" naughty stuff is if you do this for a living and have agreed on it and you have been paid. Not even then. You can give their money back and withdraw from a contract at any time.
    So, nope. Nothing's owed.

43:14 Turning someone down for not having a body part they don't even need it's ridiculous, it's like saying no appendix no diamond. Also this weird obsession with diamonds for engagement rings, like if you need an expert to tell them apart from glass do they really look that special? Sure, they're really cool with how hard they are, but unless the whole ring is made of diamond it can still break.

I was just told yesterday, "Enjoy being single" when I said there's nothing wrong with wanting a traditional marriage but everything wrong with believing that the natural world order is that men should run the world and women should obey them. So yeah I'm feeling a little spicy against the basement dwelling incel thinking he put me in my place when really I have 2 advanced degrees as a scientist and a doctor.

"enjoy being single" is supposedly an insult bc they fear being single, but u are busy and have an active social life so 'staying single' is not a problem for you, they're projecting
also TWO ADVANCED DEGREES? I'm so proud cuz that requires intelligence!❤

@sketchr9258 Thank you so much and I couldn't agree more. I've been through some really tough times in the past few years, and I'm very proud and happy of where I am right now. I guess "being single" is supposedly an insult because people like that are so desperate and lonely.
Thank you for the kind comment. This is a great community.

These people who creepily stare at women feel so offended because to them they're "Not even allowed to look anymore" but they fail to realize that normal people do acknowledge others around them without being creepy.... I don't think they realize that, it's totally possible to see a beautiful woman or man walking past you and think that they're beautiful and not stop and pull out binoculars....

I can't imagine being so self-unaware and socially inept as to just... STARE at random strangers in public then have the nerve to get offended when they're predictably creeped out. Like, bruh, I feel like a weirdo just for briefly glancing in someone's direction for less than a nanosecond, how do incels live like this???

I'm gay, I don't spend a lot of time staring at women or even looking at them at all. But I'm just not buying this BS anymore, the difference between Creepy and Flirty is physical attractiveness. We all know it, please stop pretending otherwise.
I know in reality people can be physically attractive and still be creeps, but in the heads of women creeps are just men that they assume are interested in them whom they would prefer not to be.
And have far too many female friends, who've unintentionally proved this, to buy whatever response you're going to word vomit at me.
