Well you run into the same problem as Superman if Superman wanted to kill he he would just speed blitz and create a Superman shaped hole in thanos's torso flash doesn't kill either and he's not going to go for the kill and Thanos could just use the space stone and stop you
Out of character, Superman would definitely win with his speed advantage. The MCU Gauntlet has to close into a fist to be used. Thanos would be donuted before he even thinks about using the gauntlet.

If i recall. Carol herself stopped a gauntlet wearing thanos from snapping. Thanos literally couldn't move his arm or hand. Thanos had to take the powerstone off the gauntlet and use it in the other hand just to get carol off him.

Thanos underestimated most heroes from endgame because this was before he became the humanized version of him in ifnintotu war. He didn’t know what captain marvel could do so he let her take the advantage but if he had wanted to engage in a fight with her he would’ve won he just wanted to get it over quickly

Unlike Carol, Superman doesn't know a shit about the Infinity Gauntlet or its operation. Only because of that, Superman's death is guaranteed. Thanos doesn't even need to confront him physically to kill him, he controls every aspect of the universe.

Problem here is, Thanos was being affected by the power surge from the IG at the time that Carol grabbed his hand. It was an exhausted and tired Thanos. He also wasn’t paying attention to Carol at that time. Please just trake all factors into consideration next time.
How come extremely fast characters can react to ridiculously fast attacks when battling an opponent that is similarly powerful, but when they face normal humans they can't even react?
It's not just speedsters or God-Like characters like Superman. This can also apply to someone like Spider-Man, on a lower scale. He can dodge automatic gunfire easily, even lightning, yet somehow gets punched in the face by some dudes?
How do skills give you the speed to even touch these guys?

@@chiymai Using the MCU as an example, The Shocker in Homecoming hit Peter a couple of times.
Those gauntlets don't enhance his speed, all they do is make him attack using Shockwaves. Even without Spider-Sense, Peter should be able to react extremely fast. It doesn't matter if he is unskilled, he is a superhuman with Inhuman speed and reflexes.
Certain media portray him well. For example, in Spectacular Spider-Man, Peter was casually dodging crap that Flash threw at him, but when he noticed that everyone was like "Holy shit, he is dodging everything", he decided to allow Flash to hit him.
Another example is that, in comics, Kraven the Hunter realized that he can't compete against Spider-Man as a normal person. So he decided to drink some potions that would enhance him. A dude that kills lions and bears with his bare hands with no powers thought that it was impossible to beat Spider-Man without enhancing himself.
Hell, Peter can beat up like 10 vampires easily.
That's why I get annoyed when powerless humans miraculously manage to hit him multiple times.

I thought it was commonly known that Superman has mental blocks, even the live action versions. It's very clear that the Snyderverse Superman had mental blocks but after his death he lost them. This is why he's so much more powerful now in Zack Snyder's Justice League.

Hmmmm…. Idk about that Superman weakness thing. His one weakness is supposed to be kryptonite and he’s vulnerable to magic. I think that that nuke hurt him because he took a lot of kryptonite beforehand, and it’s just a nod to The Dark Knight Returns. Captain Marvel has the ability to incapacitate a Thanos without the stones, this scenario is Thanos WITH the stones.
Remember the one time Thanos actually used an infinity stone to fight Captain Marvel, he used the power stone for a simple punch and it took her out of the fight for a few moments.
I’m not necessarily disagreeing with the claim, I’m just saying that it might not be a fair comparison to compare Captain Marvel vs Thanos w/o infinity stones to Superman vs Thanos with infinity stones. 👍

I would like to say, if you’re going to bring in superman’s fighting style, specifically you have to account for thanos’ too, he for quite a few moments in the endgame final fight had the full gauntlet like against captain marvel and decided to use the gauntlet in still incapacitating ways, as to get the chance to snap, I do believe that this will be the case with superman as well, as it does depend on thanos’ mindset, say you catch him in the end of endgame with the full gauntlet yes he’d win but that’s because he’s got another goal, say if after endgame he made a new universe but kept the stones, at that point I don’t think he would be so willing to kill superman quickly and brutally, more try to incapacitate and that would be his downfall, obviously I agree that thanos has the upper hand but it’s not as one sided in my opinion, still great video though, put in a lot of work, respect

I like to think about it this way: a punch to the head from Iron Man, a much weaker opponent, made him bleed. A punch to the head from someone as strong as Superman, whose punches generate shockwaves big enough to level the area around him, would probably disorient him very badly, enough for Superman to gain a window to sever his arm. It's also safe to assume Superman is too fast for Thanos to properly react to.

it also depends on where they're fighting, at some point in the comcs it was confirmed that the Infinity Stones don't work outside of their own universe. idk if this applies to the MCU version but it's just something I thought could be factored in

but if we go on the DC multiverse and the dceu hasn't said how their multiverse works,and there's a dceu camieo of flash with cw Barry,I'm gonna go off cw's multiverse.as far as I know,different universes have different molecular structures and densitys,that means the stones power blasts would probably go through his body or reflect off it
Well, I think wether or not the stones would work isn’t really the point. And if they didn’t, it definitely wouldn’t be as interesting of a fight. So sure, from a lore perspective, you could argue the stones wouldn’t work outside the marvel universe. But it would be far more interesting and entertaining if they did still work and make it a much more even fight. And at the end of the day I’d rather see that fight than a more strictly lore accurate one since it would be much more interesting and entertaining.

With What if... we now know the mcu-infinity stones are not bound to their respective universe and work throughout the multiverse. The only place their useless in is the TVA.

That being said, Thanos is not the space stone. That's the space stone feat, not Thanos.
Thanos's best feat is scaling above Hulk, but since this is MCU Hulk, that doesn't mean much.

The fact that thanos never lies makes his power level so insane that he could reshape universes. He really is a mad god with those stones, even in live action
For the claim that says Superman doesn’t use his speed, see every fight he has. He constantly rushes Faora and Nam-Ek, he goes full force against Zod in all fights, he goes for the blitz against Batman (which is an incredibly disingenuous fight to say he doesn’t kill when he spent the fight trying to make Bats listen to him, aka not killing him), he instantly goes for the speed against Doomsday, he does it to random humans, he does it to Diana, he does it to Steppenwolf. Yeah that’s about every single fight he has in the DCEU. His main issue in most of these isn’t that he doesn’t use his speed but his speed not working due to his opponents being of a similar speed to Supes.
Speaking of disingenuous fights, Supes couldn’t kill Zod. If you watch the fight, you will see how Zod spends the whole fight punting our boy in blue around the city, up to space and back down. He wasn’t trying to kill Batman. He wasn’t able to simply laser off Stepp’s limbs when you consider just how long it took to cut off the horn, he had to beat him into submission.
On the part of huge levels of energy being able to affect Supes, yes large amounts can obviously affect him. He is super durable, not indestructible. However the comparison between the Mother Box blast and the Stones is a false equivalence. It wasn’t simply a bunch of energy that ripped Supes apart but enough energy that completely destroyed the space-time he existed in and at the very least atomically destroying him. Flash was stated to be creating miniature Big Bangs with each step when he fixed the end, the Big Bang being responsible for the creation of the universe and the space-time we exist in. For the atomic destruction, the explanation scene in the hangar told us that the Boxes work by rearranging atoms which means the terraforming would be executed in said fashion. Yes the Gauntlet can also work at such a level based on Thanos’ statement but it does not always work like that since there have been dozens of uses of the Stones and they never show destruction on the atomic level.
Conclusion, Supes blitzes and slams Thanos into submission. Constant attempts to use the Gauntlet or snap with alien space rocks will make Supes just rip it off and be done with it.
For all the people saying that superman could beat thanos if they knew what eachother could do, well if Thanos knew supes speed he could slow down time, stop it and create time loops before facing eachother. If thanos really wanted to stay alive he could look into the future and be prepared for literally anything before it happened.

Superman being capable of casually keeping up with someone as fast as Barry means that even if Thanos knew how fast he was, he simply wouldn't be fast enough to counter his speed. He has to gesture his hands to use the stones, and if observation is to be taken at face value, the gauntlet needs at least a quarter of a second to convey the power of whatever stone is being used.

Superman moved a tectonic plate in the quadrillions to quintillions tons range. If hulk and thor are in even in the trillions tons range thats minimum 1000 times stronger. If billions the superman is 1,000,000 times stronger. If hulks in billions and superman in quintillions the that's billions times stronger.

Tectonic plate isn't a strength feat. Plates move with the heating and cooling of the layers underneath i.e. freeze breath and heat vision. Lifting or shifting a plate is physically impossible with your hands no matter how strong you are especially if you are trying to do so with enough precision to prevent an earthquake.
welp if thanos had an idea of how Green kryptonite can damage superman massively he could just easily turn any projectile thrown at superman into green kryptonite with the help of the reality stone and then warp himself to a safe distance with the space stone so the radiation doesn't affect him and win, but of course if superman knew about all of thanos's abilities it could just become a whole different story

Thanos is an idi*t super villian his motive was to help the universe by killing half the population to provide food and shelter for people. When he simply could've used the gauntlet to create food, water and shelter for countless people.
That is not correct. People all the time say why didn't thanks double the resources because of one simple fact the rich prosper and the poor suffer. I would argue there is enough food in the world people just don't have access to it because you have to pay.
The real stupidity is that he's an idiot. People have been "prophesying" the end of the world through overpopulation for decades and their calculations usually have one thing in common, they take into account current(from their perspective) technology and forger about ingenuity and innovation which can't really be predicted. Just on earth imagine how many future scientists that could've found cures for diseases he just erased, think of how many future Nobel prize winners he just erased, and because of him production and distribution is less than half as efficient (because of grieving for the dead). Add onto the fact that there's no such thing as a one size fits all strategy that can save the universe🤦, because of the countless races and countless people he has to account for. He should've reserved this strategy for planets, like Titan, that were already on the brink of collapse. Planets whose collapse can be seen less than a decade away, then maybe I would work. But in every other case you're just gambling with that planet's development.

We see it in our world today maybe we're not on the brink of destruction but millions of people have a hard time getting one meal when they don't have to cause there is enough supplies in the world. Also look at Endgame before they reversed the snap Thanos was right animals once on the brink of extinction there was plentiful of food for everyone and during this event nations even united he was right the method of killing people for this outcome was bad.

As sad as it may be, having large chunks of our population living on little and even being unable to afford that is nothing new which is why there were people in the past who didn't see humanity even entering the 21st century and gave us like 100 years till extinction. Needless to say thanks to innovation we persevered and continue to look for ways to improve life even further. I feel where Thanos was coming from he tried to save his world but people called him a mad man and ignored him. Superman is so extremely fast, that can steal the gauntlet (or crush Thanos as a potato) without he even noticing. Even faster than Thanos' brain cells.
Superman is just too fast for Thanos. Thanos can't use the infinity gauntlet fast enough to affect Superman. Captain Marvel was able to stop him just as he was about to snap at the end of endgame and she is nowhere close to the speed of the dceu Superman. He also blasted ironman in their battle on Titan using the power stone and ironman was able hold back the blast using a shield made out of nanos so Superman shouldn't have a problem tanking a blast from him. You also forgot the fact that Superman was weakened before taking a hit by that nuke. He took multiple kryptonite grenades by batman and was around batman's kryptonite spear. That was also a big reference to that scene in the dark knight returns graphic novel so that had a lot to do with that being done. Plus, he was holding back in the fight with batman so they could go save Martha from lex Luthor. I can't imagine Thanos being able to beat Superman in a legit fight when he was almost defeated by the avengers and guardians of the Galaxy on Titan. They definitely would've won if starlord didn't hit him in the face. Then again, that was the one in 14 million ways and was the only one that they won in. Superman is just too strong and too fast. Especially if we're going by his outting in the snydercut. There's no chance of Thanos beating him from that film.
Let's stop associating Thanos with the IG. That was just a temporary weapon and not a common thing with Thanos.

It depends on how fast superman wants to move, if he goes as fast as he can he could probably pull off a few punches and take the gauntlet if not more before Thanos even can process what's happening, if not and is caught by surprise then he'll most likely lose.
Thanos can literally turn the entire terrain that they're fighting on into kryptonite and Kal will die instantly, he won't even be able to escape the place...

Given the speed we have seen DCEU Supeman move at? Yes, he just has to get to Thanos' hand the second he sees him given that the MCU gave Thanos a handicap of having to close his hand before using it. Once that happens he can break his fingers in all kinds of directions making it impossible for Thanos to close his hand.

Superman blitzed Wonder Woman before she could smash her bracelets together. This is the same Wonder Woman that can Tarzan swing across lightning. Thanos couldn't react to Thor's and Cap's lightning blasts. At least, not to the level where he can perceive lightning in slo-mo like Wonder Woman.
So before Thanos could even close his fist or snap his fingers, that Gauntlet is coming straight off his hand. This fight is literally 50/50.
Superman loses if he doesn't know about the Gauntlet. If he does, then he wins.
If Superman was on Titan and Strange explained to him how the Gauntlet works and the powers of the Stones, then Superman is not going to let Thanos even THINK about using the Gauntlet.

The stones effects change their universe. So thier effects wouldn't do anything to him, so Thanos wouldn't be able to rewind him. That being said he can still use them to create huge blasts of energy, or control objects and other people. So Thanos probably couldn't snap superman but he could kill him with a beam from the gauntlet. (Granted I may not fully understand how the stones work)

I totally agree with this video and the outcomes. A full Infinite Gauntlet Thanos would totally destroy Superman in a heartbeat and leave the Man of Steel powerless against the Mad Titan. Some people seem to forget that Thanos is highly intelligent and would use the Time Stone before facing Superman in battle and he can do a number of countermeasures against Superman in a number of ways.
