I am indian, but i must admit that all our music composers are copy cats, Whomever they all are copy cats and it is not happening from today, our composers were copying songs since 1970s. Even R.D. Burman , Lakhmikant pyarelal and Bappi Laheri were also copied songs from entire world countries., some of the music composers i am writing who is specialist in copying songs
1. Nadeem- Shravan ( 90 percent of their songs are copied and i dont think they had compose a single song by their Own)
2. Anu Malik: Another super copy cat most of His songs are copied
3. R.D. Burman: People thinks He was a great music legend but reality is that He was one of the copy cat.
4. Bappi Laheri: He had also copied a thousands of songs, i will tell you one interesting thing about one song, the same tune is copied by both Bappi laheri and laxmikant pyarelal, the song was, Bappi laheris song TAmma tamma loge and laxmikant song chuma chuma de de, lol
5. Laxmikant Pyarelal: i m fan of them but they also copied a number of songs
6. Pritam : Pritam is well known as copy cat, He did Phd in copying songs, even he copied from korea, japan, thailand , bangladesh and singapore lol
7.A.R. Rehman : the oscar winner, most of the people thinks thats A.r. Rehman is a genuine composer, but He is also Among them lol, but He copy the songs mostly from African countries,
8. sandeep -Darshan: the sons of Shravan, Jab inka baap original songs compose nahi kar saka to yeh kya khak karenge lol
9. Amaal Malik : the nephew of super dupar copy cat Anu malik.

Somehow I appreciate some copy cat or copy music director in Bollywood... Becoz we don’t listen and can’t listen all kind of songs/music which are happening in our world in some other places, other country, in some other language. We Indian mostly listen our local songs which composed in our native language and out of that Bollywood songs/music or Western English songs only... even general people don’t listen local folk songs much... for those copy cat music director we are getting chance to listen the music of world ... otherwise we would miss those nice tune which made by someone somewhere ales... isn’t it?? Don’t take everything wrong way if it has some bad side but it has some positive thing also... and i think stealing or adopting some good music or culture is not harmful for our society or our country... it is better than killing people or Stealing privet property or land or crossing LOC for capturing land of other country.

Hi Dude don’t mix R D Burman in this category. He’s name comes in top of the list of Indian Great Music Directors and Music Composers, simply he is a legend forever. Otherwise after his death in last 20 years his name and music would blemished from our mind... but it didn’t happen... he and his composition become more and more popular in last 20 years after his death... this is the sign of creator and great person... Those who have bit knowledge about music and understand music and composition, those all Indian people and music composers/directors realized that what RD did in his time and what his contribution in Indian music and he gave Bollywood film industry those are marvellous and completely unbelievable. Today’s some of our good music composers/directors agreed with it. Not for only bollywood, RD composed thousand and thousand Bengali songs (modern & filmy both), listen those once who didn’t listen till now... He was just bank of music!
Now I am coming to main point... RD Burman inspired by some nice tune but not exact the composition... he took some part of some nice tune and he change it in his own way... rhythm, tempo, modulation, music arrangement everything he changed... there are no similarity between the original and his composition... and his composition is much better and sounds better than the original one no doubt... those who have doubt please play both track together at time... those tracks won’t match with each other for sure.
