I have never seen a person other than myself use a bottom crust pie shell for the top shell. No need to make your own pastry. I add a little thyme for flavor and a little chicken broth to thin it a just a bit for my taste. I could listen to your voice all day and loved your prayer. ❤ Perfection!

This must be new and improved upgrade chicken pot pie because when I used to buy the Frozen Swanson or the banquet chicken pot pies at the store I never known them to have onions, string beans, corn, cream of mushroom and all of the other herbs and spices in the Frozen pot chicken pot pies because they usually only had the chicken pieces, potato cubes, peas, carrots, and the thick creamy chicken sauce with the pie crust so this is a big improvement 👍👍

Well looks good. However I would use only 1 can of cream of chicken. Because they have a lot of sodium in it. I would maybe also use low sodium chicken broth.

Miss Gina , Today I tried this recipe and made a mistake that at first I thought would be bad, but it wasn't. My wife is bed ridden and I do all the cooking, I was busy and forgot to use the egg yokes on top of the pie and instead I used butter, it still turned out great, the top turned a flaky golden brown. Thanks for the recipe we loved it.
I would actually prefer using butter because I like a buttery crust.
