Last weekend I test rode this bike & yes it is unexpectedly smooth unlike its aggressive styling. I think Aprilia did a great job setting & tuning the engine to deliver smooth & good useable torque for street use 👍
I saw this beauty at the bike show this weekend and fell in love at first sight, haven't felt this way about a bike since I found my DR650. Lol.
Have the 750 shiver and it is a fantastic daily bike. Very fun and sounds amazing.
Another great review from the MotoGeo Master!
Great, useful review, thanks. It's on my wishlist!
Just bought a Motogeo Shirt and sticker pack, hope it helps to keep the great videos coming! Looking forward to your take on the Duke 790 if you get the opportunity to test one.
This is such an overlooked bike. Aprilia needs to step up their dealer network, and customer service. Piaggio group doesn't treat it's customers the best....
I did a shot every time he said "really" - I'm still hungover
Are you still hungover?
Nice review and very nice looking bike too.
Love that road! Havent been on it yet after the fire though.
Love this
I have the 2010 shiver 750. 40 000 km now. Next one will be the 900. Very good bike.
Only information is its smooth, cheers
what a picture quality! May I ask you what camera are you using ? thanks. Radek
Great bike!!!!
I think that they look a lot better in real live as there is so much detail and shape to them. The older one had a really nice seat and position.
I agree with you. When I saw the pictures at first the bike looks a little cheap to me. When I saw it in real live I felt a little bit in love. It is a great package, especially for the price.
did you test drove it? you recommend bro?
You must have been there just before the fire. Was this just a test ride, or can we look forward to one of your excellent adventure videos starring the Shiver? Camping on Pine Mountain? Burger at The Place?
Thank you for the video.
Any idea of much that stock exhaust is holding? How much, you think you can save, by putting an aftermarket one?
Thank you so much.
Cheers from Portugal (Europe)
-6kg with akrapovic but is so expensive
I ordered the Bike with Akrapovic and the red wheels
yep made my day..... thats my favorite bike FIRST!!
Looking at some data sheets in the Internet, it's often mentioned a dry weight of 218kg, so could 227 be the wet one instead?
Still, even with the double high muffler and all the required Euro4 restrictions, It seems quite heavy for for being a naked bike, especially from a manufacturer with such a big experience in racing
why is it so fat then?
Israel Santos really don't know. Looking at other naked 900cc bikes, for example, the Kawasaki Z900 weighs almost 20kg less, which is quite a lot IMHO. Still, its predecessor, the Z800, was well known for being quite a heavy bike.
My first guess is, again, having a double exhaust under the bike's rear, which needs longer manifolds, a 2-1-2 configuration and, of course, two pipes at the end.
Anyway, This is just a consideration of mine, bit not a critic to the bike. Weight means less reactivity, but also better stability
Mkaes sense. It's weird, maybe it will go on a diet on next iteration
I bought and I love this bike.
Me too! Best bike in the budget for me.
I’m looking at the 2020 model. What’s the longest trip you’ve taken on it? I’d like to use it as sport touring bike to hit go up and down California as well as my daily commuter and weekend twistys
Still love my 2008 shiver. It looks a little better too imo
I think I'm in love
I bet you can put the better looking Dorsoduro exhaust on the bike
Does anyone know the service-intervals for this bike? I like this bike, but I am also looking at the beautiful MV Agusta Brutale 800. Too bad that one is much more expensive :-/
if you search the mv have a lot of electric problem, give a lot of information for brutale 800 before you buy, at shiver you have to change oil and filter at 20000km, but if you change oil and oil filter 1 year or 10000km is better but not necessary
I love u motogeo
What about the neverending discussions concerning the rear tire size (a 180 on a 6" rim)?
It makes the steering a bit harsh. But you can easily fix it by using a 190 rear tyre. What is recommended by some tyre companies for example Michelin. Especially the Dunlop OME tyre is a bad choice because it has a flat contour anyway. Putting it in 180 shape on a 6” rim makes it even worse.
Sorry it’s german

The suspension is the same as on the previous 750 model? Fully adjustable!
Jamie you have to teach me how to ride! 😁 nice video👌
Miss motogeo adv
is this bike worth it or nottttttttttttttttttttttttt
frame hasn't changed, Suspension is not fully adjustable ...exhaust is as heavy as the old one!
That’s a heavy bike. Must be 20kgs more than the MT09.
Those mufflers look like trumpets but sound boring. So sad that Euro 4 is destroying all the awesome sounds motorcycles should be making.
"Really Really"... REALLY LOUD MUSIC WTF WHY
The dry weight is 200 kg not 228
Pull over he's got a shiver
Quanto sei alto?
Why not show the whole bike in the frame when you’re talking??
Lower cowl looks broken
Can it powerwheelie in first gear?
we are youtubers i’d say it could probably power wheelie 2nd gear at good rpm
Maybe a baby power wheelie in second
MT09 are best for wheelies ;) can get power wheelie in 3rd
Yes but i really like the look of the shiver and i only have a2.license
we are youtubers lol, stupid pommy licensing system
500 dry? Wow that’s really heavy!
467 lbs wet his figures are wrong
Does it have TC ? Thx
Yes it has.
Lukas Schon thx mate
You remind me of that knob end Westwood... No offence
Numbers may not tell the whole story but on paper it's just a heavy mt07.
Yea, but it's also a bike that a tall person can fit on and not look ridiculous. And it's better equipped.
227 kg dry weght?!!Really?! Isn't it too heavy for bike like that?
agree, MT09 or z900 will eat this bike
Is wrong, dry is 200 and in movement is 218 kg
@Ricardo Ortoleva what is "in movement" mean?
R i v a l r y R i d e with oil and fuel is 218 kg without is 200 kg
@Ricardo Ortoleva oh, you mean wet weight.
Why that music, cant watch this!
When you are speaking I assume you want people to hear you. Why make background noise when you are talking? This makes it a bit more difficult to hear/understand you and it's annoying, especially for someone that speaks a different version of English. Kill the music!
A different type of English?!.lol.....he's an Englishman speaking his own language....English!!!
I can hear him fine.
First time I saw this bike I really liked it the video doesn’t do it justice but that is a very ugly ass exhaust
Not actually a review in any sense of the word. Pants.
Oooh, look at all the electronics. Looks like a bike that would spend too much time dealership because of electrical faults.
Please return to the original videos, reviews really borring
I really love this Shiver 900 but I love the KTM 790 Duke as well, difficult choice to be honest
