- Where the fuse box is and how to open it
Be aware, your problem could be the SECRET second battery in the RAM 1500 2019-2023. Click this link for details on that battery • 5th Gen Ram won’t star... - Jak na to + styl
Thanks! Standing in a parking lot in my new ish truck thinking I could pull a fuse without a toolbox.... Agree with your comments completely.
As a Ram truck engineer, I gotta agree - a lot of stupid decisions are made on the design side BY GUYS WHO NEVER DRIVE THEIR MISTAKES!
Thanks bro, right to the point. Exactly what I needed.
I can’t stand my warlock! My first Dodge and I was born and raised by a Dodge Dad. The pos has 14,000k miles on it and the battery or a fuse (hence why I want to make love to your video) has blown…but…I didn’t know I needed to be a qualified surgical fuse doctor or a f’n dodge mind reader in order to find the second simplest thing on a vehicle other than the mfer’ing gas cap!
Thanks dude, hope this helps with your kids lunch money.
Thank you, sir!!!
I was struggling......
Thanks for your video! I am installing an accessory switch for Winch relay and looked at the typical fuse block spot on earlier years but no friggin panel. I agree with your verbal assessment of the change and having to use a 7mm socket....damn engineers could have put a simple mechanical latch or some simple knobs to unscrew for panel access...
keeping it to the point, damn right
Thank you!
Preciate it !
Thanks man! 🙂
No problem!
Thanks.
Thanks
You can change it with phillips head screws or hand tight types that would be easier and better .
Thanks got a 7mm to keep in the truck.
Right on
🔵 I love it that way! No one can tamper with the fuse box that way. It’s a brand new car, what kind of major issues are you anticipating to encounter. By the time I run into those major issues, I would’ve long traded that vehicle and let it be someone else’s problem.
The problem is that we are encountering these issues like blown fuse for a new 2022 Ram with 30k miles. Tail lights shouldn't even be going out until at least 60k to 100k miles.
I need help on my Dodge ram
I never screwed the panel back on. The 'Christmas Tree' clips are enough to keep the panel on and snug. btw with all do respect, if you are driving any vehicle without basic tools, that include a hex set you're just not paying attention to life.
So. What’s the trick to pulling the hood release latch off? Looks like this was already done before filming
It’s held on with these hook things
I’m sorry I didn’t get a picture of it while it was off
But you push it upwards to release the hooks
I would probably recommend getting your phone behind it and shooting a video so that you can see how everything latches together in advance
@@2Point Thanks for the quick reply. What a pain.
Im with ya brother, not only that, 5.7 hemi with a needle dick oil filter in the worst location. I tried remote kits, yeah, good thought, however, no matter what fittings I had or made, they still fricking leak, I ended up with using a slightly bigger filter which basically fits with a few contortions of the wrist, Mobil: M1-212A. One more thing, the stoopid ass tranny pan? OMG, ABS plastic, cannot drain it, plug is blocked by the crossover pipe, I replaced mine with the PPE, best design period.
My 21 big horn 3500 does not have it there
Any help on how to get my backup camera to show up on my uconnect screen again
F53 is the fuse. pull it and reinstall. in fact its recommended to push in ALL the fuses. The idiot in the fuse install table has weak hands and never pushed them in all the way.
My 2019 ram 1500 Bighorn the fuses are underneath the hood
Tell me you made this up
(so THAT'S where it is)
Yup! I got stranded tonight for this exact reason! 🤬😡
There's 2 fuse boxes on a ram 1500 longhorn.
I took the panned off under the steering wheel and no fuss panel
Any idea where to find the diagram as to what the fuses are? Trying to locate the fuse for the break controller connection.

You owe me a Subscribe. 😉
Yep, it’s right below the hood latch…on every other truck in the world besides a dogggdge. Hopefully this helps 🤣
Bullshit! I'm upset! But thank-you for the information!!! 🤬
Can you just replace the screws with a hex head
I suppose I COULD replace every nut, bolt, screw, hose, cable and part in the truck if I chose. Orrrrr…RAM could just do it right the first time.
Why should i need to do that on a $60k truck?
Beats the old location under the hood
Oh it’s still got another fuse box under the hood
But that one’s not so confusing
Wth are you talking about? There's still fuse box under the hood!
Fuse wasn't there on my 2019 Ram 1500 Classic
Useful to know. Mine is 2019 non-classic and the fuse box is the one in the video I’m going to assume that the 2019 classic is basically a dressed up 2018
But I don’t know.
They probably use a 7mm metric because other then the U.S. the whole world uses metric.
Wow that’s the dumbest location ever. Thanks man
Ridiculous. Bought a 2021 Big Horn. Probably my first and last Ram.
It has its quirks but I’m happy overall.
@@2Point Rides great, I agree. Hopefully it holds up. Quirky is a good way to describe. We have a 2017 mid-level Hyundai and the electronics on it are more refined than the Ram. Thought it would take getting used to be it's just worse. And keyless Start button but not keyless entry is a really odd one. If you have to get keys out to unlock, then why even bother with the keyless start. You already got your keys out. And this is a truck that has heated seats and steering wheel. Just an odd mix of options. Yeah, I know, if I want more then I need to step up in packages. At some level though you just kind of assume some of these things are there.
@@alanberickson I think in a few years, all of those features will be included on pretty much every model of vehicle
The sizzle feature they will charge for will be self driving related.
I was able to use a screwdriver
it is stupid - all that to change a fuse -- I have a pearl white 19 longhorn like yours that is about to go to the junkyard and then no more FCA junk
My 22 ram doesn’t have it there
Neither one of my 22 Rams do either lol dude needs to update his video because they're not all there
@@ashtonsmithhart3594 yea it’s driving me nuts trying to find a fuse for the fucking thing
My last ram will ts this or take to dealer sell the 💩 get a ford
The car is built in Mexico who use the actual standard for nuts and bolts, metric.
Imperial measurements are stupid and that has been proven hundreds of times over.
No fuses there at all!!
Now I know why I drive a Chevy. What a pain in the a$$!
because you love fake plastic that rattles after 6 months in the sun? Or maybe the radio from 1986? Fake leather seats? So much to love😉
Clearly you've never changed a headlamp on your chevy
you suck
