Yamaha TG33 review by Legowelt:
The TG33 is the module version of the SY22 and SY35 vector synthesizers. You can throw together a bunch of rom waves and FM sounds in some sort of dimensional vector spacing vortex (that is a very fancy way to describe mixing four sounds together with a joystick). Apparently it was designed by the same people who made the Sequential Circuits Prophet VS.
It is a very esoteric machine giving you a soundpallette that goes from nightmarish twilightzone paranoia to soothing scenes of country pastures and deep space galaxies in between.

Gotta love a synth that says "Hello" when you turn it on.
Yeah, "Nice to meet you"
0:18 lmao these drums are so cute
Very good unusual sounds! Thanks for showing us the power of this underrated machine!
yes, totally agree with you, I love this synth, i'm glad you like it!
Did the same and I just bought another one!
Pass it through an Electrix Filter Factory and it becomes the best background-er ever... that plastic low end... good stuff!
I miss my TG-33. You're getting some wonderful sounds out of it
Me too
thanks for putting this up man im about to buy one and was super bummed the video selection was somewhat sparse on here!!
Superb sounds, just a dream
I was waiting for this one! I bought my TG33 few weeks ago :). I'm listening :)
Bloody marvelous!
17:03 forgot how sublime some of the sounds were. Good showcase of synths. Just listened to your bandcamp stuff (jv1080 and tg33 tracks) ;)
fantastic
Cool lo-fi
I thumbs up that vid since a long time but don't comment it... Great demo as always !
That mix between AWM and FM is a great idea and that "TG33/SY22" sounds marvelously beautiful !
It's in my plan to have one in the future, at least a SY22 cause it's more affordable (for now)
I bought one last week, I love FM, next one is Casio CZ 5000.
awesome! i've had this synth.. why did i ever sold it 🙄

I still have my TG33 (which I got off craigslist years ago for like...$20!) :)
Wow! I just found a deal at $300. this week. Can’t wait to receive it in a few days.
ahora me lo quiero comprar viejita
es un universo ese sinte, yo lo extraño mucho, y no suelo extrañar cosas, es divino y tan divertido
11:16 Wowww
Just bought one. Nice sounds and for the footprint. Cost not so much either. I do wonder if there’s syncing.
Hi Marty, I forgot to ask in my first comment: wich arpeggiator system did You use?
hi LB! at that time (2011) FLStudio 7, now FLStudio 10 :)
@@NachoMartyMeyer thank You very much!!
man..love your tg33 and mks-70 sound design! Do you have your patches available anywhere?
I'm very glad that you liked the sounds, unfortunately I never save the patches (it's a bad habit) I just record one sound and keep making another sound, with the TG33 I only used the machine, programming from its buttons, with the MKS-70 I use a software that simplifies many things and edits in real time (jxedit.exe)
You don’t happen to have the patches still? Would love to tweak them in tribute :)
I'm sorry, but I haven't saved any patches, otherwise I would be happy to send them to you
How much of this demo involved simply switching between the 4 tone generators in real time using the vector controller?
For an unknown reason, this module is the only vector synthesizer that’s ever tempted me. All the things one can do with it, but one thing I wouldn’t mind knowing if it’s got is that killer E grand piano sound from the SY models that’s on some of the early 90s material from Madonna, Michael Jackson and Amy Grant (and the Grace Films logo).
mostly, every time you listen to the same sequence but the sound changes, the joystick is being used
I don't remember if it has any piano preset, I only know that it is the version without keys of the SY22
Thank you for both comments, Nacho.
@@Shred_The_Weapon my english is not very good, i think it does have some "waveform" of piano, I'm not completely sure but now I remember that yes, I think so
Thank you again Nacho. Listening to another demo of the module, I heard a sound almost exactly like what I was asking about. Meanwhile, I would not have guessed that you struggle with English.
will this one get a bandcamp release?
yes i put it here :D

@@NachoMartyMeyer awesome mate
@@marcusrafferty7638 It's funny because while a part of this video was playing... I was looking at your video of the 707 and 606 and both things happened to be very good together! lol I'm glad you liked it!
@@NachoMartyMeyer No problem dude, take care!
@@marcusrafferty7638 surprising, the drums were in tune with a part of this video and it worked very well :D
