First expansion I experienced the release of. When I look back on I see a flavor mish mash of Bladerunner/Total Recall meets Pirates of the Carribean/Peter pan

I'm a huge fan of Mercadian Masques. It's the first MTG booster pack I remember buying as a kid and holds a ton of nostalgia for me.

I'm very glad I discovered this video. It's a simple, plain way of describing the events of the story, which is all i ever wanted from the various MTG history video series. I really appreciate your commitment to simplicity without all the visual pomp that modern "video essays" are cluttered by; you let the art and characters speak for themselves, and it makes the video better for it. This video was really relaxing to listen to, and I learned a lot about the characters and events of MM.
I'm looking forward to viewing the other videos on your channel. Please keep making videos like this and keep up the good work.

I feel 13 again watching this.
I like how you combine the lore then the cards and the impact of the competitive scene at the time.

It was the first set to come out after I started playing, so it will always have a place in my heart. I know it wasn't well received, but I love the flavor and art of the plane.

After watching a couple of your older videos, you really need to stop the constant interjections with film and TV clips. The audio mixing is MUCH louder than your narration which makes them INCREDIBLY jarring, and they aren't even funny - every time one of them pops up, I have to mentally brace myself just to withstand the shock. This video series would be much better if you stopped trying to inject "humour" into the videos and just let the subject matter speak for itself.
I can see you already have toned it down in later videos compared to earlier ones, and I do appreciate that, but there isn't any need for these interruptions at all. If I had discovered this video series through an earlier video instead of this one, there's no way I would have thought to continue watching.
