'A Propaganda Tool For Israel!' Piers Morgan's Eurovision Debate

  • While it’s supposed to be a unifying celebration of music, the Eurovision Song Contest practically never manages to stay apolitical; and this year was no exception. An unprecedented level of disruption and protest was directed at the Israeli entry Eden Golan over the weekend, as global anger at Israel’s actions in Gaza continues to grow.
To discuss this year’s contest, Piers Morgan brings comedian James Barr, Israeli writer and activist Hen Mazzig, Novara Media host Michael Walker and Drag Queen Crystal onto the show. The debate gets heated when Crystal calls Eden Golan ‘a propaganda tool for the Israeli government’ and Hen claims no British person can call for the exclusion of Israel without becoming a hypocrite.
    00:00 - Introduction
03:52 - Why should Israel not be allowed to compete?
04:49 - Would you ban Ukraine?
05:30 - The hypocrisy of Israel being banned
06:06 - "No one called for the UK to be banned over the Iraq war"
07:08 - Israel are fighting a 'genocidal war'
07:40 - "There's a stronger case for kicking out Israel than Russia"
10:10 - "What did you tweet about the October 7 terror attack?"
12:39 - Drag queen Crystal who boycotted Eurovision over Israel's inclusion
14:57 - Queers for Palestine movement
17:23 - "Eurovision is a load of crap"
18:08 - What did you tweet when Russia was kicked out of Eurovision?
19:37 - "The West Bank is under Israeli occupation"
20:33 - "The UK broke international law with the invasion of Iraq"
21:28 - "Once you fly this moral halo over this event, there is rank hypocrisy"

    27:09 - Bambie Thug's 'satanic' performance
    27:39 - Finland’s Windows95man with no trousers on

Piers, why, why, WHY do you keep asking that muppet Barr on your show? 30K dead? Gazans live streamed the Hamas termed ceasfire (not accepted by Israel, understandably), and the little children were out with their sparklers, Gucci t shirts and iPhones. They no more looked like they were starving, scared or DEAD.

The winner Nemo Is So much tallented, He just did revolution in pop music right Now. He shifted pop into new dimension. All the other artists there Felt it. But also the Norwegian band, that ended at 25th position was briliant, breaking thé limits in everything. So, no matter what position the contestants Got, thé most important thing Is that many developed thé music further more And shifted IT to the Future. The girls from Italy And Greece were great too, they perfectly show where contemporary pop Is moving And people like Slimane And Olly Alexander with their excellens belong to the top as well. Not surprised that Sir Elton John Feels like home at Olly Alexander's pop. I definitely need to go back to Bambi Thugs music. Because fór me it Is rather distant genre, that i donnot know much about, but what i Heard from musicians- they Fancy it. But of course ať least half of thé songs were just miserable Bellow average pop. Kaleen from Austria fór instance. On the other hand thé German Guy Isaak has a good potential And great feelings. Music Is subjective, that Is true. But vocally, Nemo was thé best or ať least among thé 3 besties there, As i said along with Norway Gote And France Slimane.

The amount of security we had to put on this poor 20-year old only because of her nationality is absolutely INSANE. I’ve never seen anyone in Sweden before with that amount of security. We even took help from Norway and Denmark. And the Irish artist among others were sure a big contributor to get things even more heated. How can this person have the nerve to play the victim after what the Israeli artist went through this entire week? This contest has been ruined by some extreme woke culture that even my gay friends in Sweden can’t stand it. It’s embarrassing for our whole continent to witness this freak show with privileged Europeans living in their privileged countries fighting for stuff they have absolutely ZERO reality perspective of. 20:00 .... There's no occupation, and if there is one by their standards it is justified. Literally could've had a Palestinian state years ago if they so do chose, but they didn't, because "from the river to the sea". More on that over *6 facts you do not want to be lied about this subject:*
*1. Willingness vs Hate:* The Jewish people leaders set through many two-state-solution plans and accepted them, not only before being a state but also after. Gaza could've been a state as well with 80% of the land - yet still chose NOT to be one, why? because "from the river to the sea" - ethnic cleansing. Hamas is a terror organization that was elected democratically, by who? the people in Gaza.
*2. Casualties:* The combatant-to-civilian death ratio in this war is unprecedented. The ratio in Gaza is about 1:1.5 to 1:2. In other words, for every combatant killed, around 1.5 civilians are killed. As a point of reference, according to the UN, civilians usually make up around 90 percent of casualties in war, while other sources claim it's about 60. That’s a 1:6 to 1:9 ratio. Every loss of civilian life is tragic, but with this ratio, not only should Israel not be accused of genocide (that’s obvious), world leaders should be applauding the IDF’s precision-strike capabilities. That is although Hamas uses their own people as human shields, putting their attack stations in homes, under hospitals, hiding behind their own people. Which makes the loss even higher as the population in Gaza is dense - rising from 100k in 1947 to 2M (a growth which is the opposite of what happens in a "ghetto”). If Hamas wouldn't have stolen billions for their leaders sitting in Qatar instead of investing in their people, and wouldn't have refused time and time again for two-state solution (even when offered 80% of the land), and wouldn't have terrorized Israelis for years and years, and wouldn't have been raping, murdering and kidnaping jews, christians, muslims and druze.... there would be no war. Not ever. There's this saying, if Israel put down its guns tomorrow, there would be a second holocaust - if Gaza put their guns down, there’d be a Palestinian state.
    3. Apartheid: Israel is the only democratic state in the entire Middle East - where all of us, jews muslims christians druze can live as equals. More specifically, after the war of 1947 which the Arab neighbors started against Israel declaration of independence, any Arab who chose to stay in Israel land got a citizenship (Yoseph Haddad

See this was a great panel and you did such a great job as usual Piers!! ❤ I think thinning the heard for the panel guests two women this past week is my vote. The one you kicked off publicly and I also say the lady from a panel few days ago she was white with dark brown or black hair and she sat on the far opposite side of the screen as you when you had 2 men and 3 women on. One was the long blond hair white lady who had a bit of an argument with her she was so awful to listen too. At least you and the blonde lady was able to put her back a bit. She was nasty and mean and also extremely rude. Funny thing is I’ll give the example that I gave from that comment here because it applies here too. The young blond guy here is always arguing with you, never, well almost never agrees with you however, he hilarious to watch! Even with his sass he’s still funny and entertaining. I never agree with him either but it’s great debate when he’s on but I have seen times he’s gotten rude and out of hand as well and that makes for a bad panel at times however more often then not and certainly lately he’s been much better at holding his tongue and giving just the right amount of sass!! Now that doesn’t mean Hamas is just in killing civilians, nor is Israel. Civilians should never be seen as legitimate targets, sadly both sides are guilty of targeting innocent civilians, sadly Israel seems to be a tad bit better at it though than the terrorists.
The fight should be against the government and the army, not civilians. That goes for both sides.

And yet, Irish televoters gave Israel 10 points. Imagine that! Seems the public at large isn't exactly aligned with the noisy minority.

I think the principles of Open Dialogue also are applicable on a large scale. In that methodology people listen to each other without interruption, and it has proven to have healing effects. So, what do we want? Drama or healing?

The Eurovision song contest should NOT allow political agendas in any shape or form in this singing contest! It has been evident in the voting and it is also evident in a certain group who are hell bent on continually badgering the Jewish people. For Gods sake - GET A LIFE! STAY FREE🦋
