Abbotsford BC has experienced devastating flooding in recent weeks due to unprecedented rainfall in the region, causing the Nooksack River in Washington to breach its banks flooding north into Canada and putting uncontrollable strain on Abbotsford's dyke system. With climate change, rising sea levels and the expectation of more frequent storm surges & flooding incidents in the future, is there a potential for similar types of flooding to occur at some point in Surrey BC?
