New Westminster is dropping its well-known moniker as the Royal City. It means a rebrand for B.C.'s first capital which, historically, has embraced its colonial past.

Canada should have severed its ties to the British monarchy a very long time ago. Anything in Canada named after members of the British monarchy should be changed immediately, including the province of Prince Edward Island, and any members of the British monarchy should also be removed from Canadian currency.
