- In this video I show 21 exploits that are still working on patch 1.21. Try them before Paradox can patch them.
All footage was captured on 5/19/17 on patch 1.21.1

that initial frame is pretty funny. hasn't said a word yet and china is just gone. that's an exploit all right.
I see no glitches, only features.
Beautiful beautiful features
It just works.
Wait wrong game.
3:20
that exploit also has the added benefit of having the proper name " ming china"
rip ming, got teleported to another dimension
13:06 -> DDRJake "if you say so..." -> "*patchnote* fixed the bug with loan integer overflew"
it's not that easy to fix it
Increase loan integer to 2^40 and it's fixed.
2^40 integers aren't really sensible to implement; computer registers are 4 bytes across, so you'd really have an 8-byte integer regardless. Using a 32-bit signed integer and capping its value is a sensible solution as it prevents overflows and also lets you have a sensible UI design (for instance, you don't need to worry about displaying the very long value of 2^60)
Good job on researching Reman, really did not know about a few of these. Keep up the fantastic work :)
Awesome video, Reman! I'm gonna use some of these to snag those difficult achieves!
Yeees been waiting for this!!
WOW! The "delete nations" one is COOL! I could start an Ironman match with only a handful of tags remaining, and that would be just awesome. So much to experiment with that.
God bless you mein gut man.
Also DDR"I dont take loans"JAKE just got roasted
I spot some serious Florryworryness in this video xD
u make great videos man keep it up :)
Vexento music in background? Great choice! :D
You create the best professional eu 4 content
That moment when you got mind-blowned in the first second...
4:00 thats one sad general
I live for these reman. Thanks so much
Someone needs to do exploit 18 to the whole world except one OPM, start as that OPM, and see if it gives the World Conquest achievement
the three mountains, even?
theZeroAlchemist exactly what I was thinking
You'd get the Three Mountains and World Conqueror since both just check whether your tag is the only independent tag on the map, you don't have to own anything
DirtyMack Problem is that you'd have to go through and do that to every tag. I wonder if you could get it to work with multiple nations
Florry showed it using Ryukyu, tedious but a WC was going to be tedious anyway
Ahh great, another video on cheats that I won't use because I'd feel disappointed with myself but I am going to waste my time nonetheless on these. Love your videos mate, keep it up.
Another exploit I thought of and tested to make sure it works uses the tag switching glitch to get the Mandate as any nation. Tag switch using the exploit to a country either pagan or eastern religion next to Ming and preferably a nation you have a CB on. Have them break tributary status and declare war for the Mandate. Then declare war on your Original country. Switch back to your original country and vassalize them in a war. This brings you in as the leader of the war and you can demand the Mandate as a part of the peace deal even if you are Christian or Muslim or whatever. This allows anyone to become the Emperor of China and get permanent claims on all of China. It is particularly powerful as the Mughals since you get claims on all of India as well.
Hi Reman, I'd love to see how you'd fare in a MP with a fair amount of players. It might be a new challenge for you and possibly make for a wonderful series!
I died at 13:05
DDRReman 2017
I love exploits. They're quite funny.
For the 1806 to 1444 glitch to make Venice in the Empire; for whatever reason, if you demand unlawful territory as Emperor from Mecklenburg at the start of the game in 1444 you take Wismar for some reason. Idk how this happened but it did...
Truce reduction fix:
1. Truces add to older truces
2. Set max truce limit to hard number, or some equation
3. Test it
4. Hire me
If there is more than one peace deal, check which one is longer, take that one, fix done :P
I like the idea that anyone would think any of these are justifiable if you're going for an honest campaign, but they are very interesting from a theorycrafting point of view
JPlay the estates rebel one is legit (at least as legit as any rebel strategy is). The free troops from garrison is also kinda legit I'd say.
Uuuh, Reman, it's Timbuck$tu?
Nowadays Timbuck$tu has been overshadowed with Shekeltown and BAMbuck$
I don't get it. Plz eksplane?
DDRJake was doing a campaign with the african country of Timbucktu (He now abandoned the campagin), with the campagin goal of gaining 1 million ducats (the money cap).
A running gag in the campaign was renaming certain provinces with money related puns such as renaming his capital from Timbucktu to Timbuck$tu, he then got another capital and named it Shekeltown (Shekel is the currency of Israel).
The supernative exploit is actually quite old, I remember doing it as Caddo back before the nerf; I noticed they keep, but sadly I wasn't unaware that a reload would remove the advancements :(
I don't know if it's a glitch but you can add take vassals via the humiliate rival CB (with the half cost transfert subject). It's pretty convenient when you can't reach an ennemy without a no cb war ^^
Some exploits causes me to think that the frontend is directly connected to game engine, and you can manipulate it directly by clicking buttons, there should be backend where frontend sends game messages to it and it should check if desired action is possible.
I truly love the fact that the infinite money glitch that became popularised while Jake was doing a money cap run requires taking loans... Jake didn't have to say "I don't use exploits", all he had to do was remind people of why Greater Denmark's ambition was a reduction to interest. Truly poetic.
One reason why i don't play EU4 anymore. Not my playstyle anymore. Prefer Stellaris and Hearts of Iron 4 + 3.
If you know alot of these gamebreaking bugs, make one for their new games (stellaris, hoi4 etc.)
One bug i know about HoI4 that i have never used but watched: It is easier to play as a nation if you are in the Spanish Civil War. What you do you get military access to France if you get one - Move your strong units in every major city in their country, then declare war on UK if France is in the Allies. And boom, your units are fighting and taking over cities. And France will capitulate.
This bug has not been fixed since releasee and i have avoided it, but it would be fun if you @Reman's Paradox make videos of a current games situation.
This video was Entertaining and shocking at the same time. XD
Great Video!
Hanfalk holy casul normie
For the transfer vassal one you don't actually need to release vassal first you can just transfer vassal, it says it cost AE but it actually doesn't.
very nice channel
Does anyone know which (if any) of these are still working in 1.22? That savescumm-ey one looked amazing.
oh, didnt know that it was/is an exploid, had ming help me vs delhi after i vassalied kham in the defensive war (didnt even recognized that delhi declared war as well), fed to max point to my punjabi vassal and got no AE.was kinda surprized
The one of getting achievements beyond 1821 it's fixed
How long til you're hired by paradox?
The capital glitch is very old, I was able to use it as Armagnac back when French vassals were still a thing. Moved my capital to Rouergue then moved it to the Caribbean
Do you have any plans to make any videos on the mod meiou and taxes 2.0?
some minor exploits, if you spend prestige on the day of a peace deal, you will still gain AE like if you were at 100 prestige, and then you will gain extra prestige you gained from the peace deal the next day.
Also you know how daimyos don't count toward dip slots, I don't know if they fixed it, but if you annex the shogun, all the daimyo vassals becomes yours and you pretty much rule over entire Japan as someone say...Ming?
It would be a cool video to watch if you made one about Country's which should have Better National Ideas. I'm currently playing as Great Britain, and England's Ideas (while not being terrible) are not on par with the ideas of Spain, France, or Austria.
There's a way to do this. Create a custom nation with the ideas you want, you can modify the file and go over 800 pts. And even repeat if you want. Save that nation as a saved custom nation. Then create a playable custom basin, ie not inner 800 points. Click modify custom nation then play. Don't start the game. Click the modify button on the custom nation pop-up then cancel your play pop-up. You can then pick an interesting nation and load the nation you created. Then delete the interesting nation, in your case England. Delete any existing custom Nations and play as England.
Exploit 18 seems like a perfect ISOT scenario thing.
>more exploits
>more stupid posts on reddit "look at me, i did this"
your first mistake is browsing Reddit
@Reman's Paradox, could you explain how you edited your save file to not include ming? and couldnt you just make it so that there are no nations in the entire game except for Ryukyu for the most easy three mountains ever?
So the tributary glitch means Sino-Japanese Empire would get tons of mandate, right? That's rad!
Could you please make a guide about army management and maintenance? Thanks!
Yes!! Not being the best player, I believe my Coptoman run will not get me the WC + One Faith. Never used an exploit before so I guess this is the time. Also, how close do you need to be at the end date, and can you log in and out and continue again after the end date?
My friend found out about that westphalia and venice glitch about a month ago, it's pretty buggy tho, sometimes his game would crash within the first months of the games, usually didnt tho.
the Caddo thing, i swear your footage is from Sui kings caddo conquest XD
I'm not sure if it's related to the teleport glitch, but in combination with the extended timeline, I've actually seen several countries disappear completely in the same way china did. Burgundy, Poland and Venice. Not at the same time, but in the same game.
I've never seen this before. Is this a bug in the ET mod?
Merging troops from a sortied garrison doesn't sound like an exploit to me.
Nice to know.
But they are free, cost no manpower..
Haven't peasant militia been marginalized enough? :)
Can you make a list on how the AI cheats. I'm confident I saw the Ottomans revoking their guarantee on Persia without getting a truce.
where is the guy who always makes a brief overview of these exploits coupled with short descriptions?
Well shit, I might have accidentially used the tributary exploit in my Ryukyu-WC. I had my capital in Brunei and was wondering why madate didn't decay - thought it was just a function of size (that the non-tributaries were so small in size the decay would be rounded down to 0).
when you got rid of ming can you use that exploit with more than 800 points?
I just tried the HRE glitch, and it worked.. Venice is in HRE, religious peace is established but also some more province are in the HRE as Provence and some burgundian Provinces.
Mecklenburg starts with no core on one province so you can instantly demand it as Austria and you get it freely cored!!!!!!
good advice martin!
How to you get the event in the Age of Revolution that gives +3 intrest?
Can you do the teleport thing to go beyond the custom 800 points?
Kinda laughed to myself when I read through Third Rome's patch notes and it said they fixed Kyoto's infinite mana glitch.
How can u see #prov tag when hovering over a province? is that a mod or an option??
By the way, if you are a Ming tributary, will a vassal rebeling for Independence have to fight Ming too? ;)
The date in the description is incorrect should be 5/19/17 not 5/19/21
Intro music ?
It's hardly an exploit to just hack the game by changing the save files.
Otherwise good as always.
The save files aren't being changed. The game is loading one value from one save file and another value from another save file at the same time.
Obviously this is cheating, but it's doing so by making use of a developer oversight, not by hacking or modding. I would consider it an exploit.
@@awkwardcultism If you use a strange method of loading a banking website such that it loads the account number value from a different persons account, granting your account some of their accounts features - this would be a hack of the banks website.
You are right though - 'changing' the save files isn't the best way to phrase it.
does the tag switch and no end date still work ?
>360p
Welp, time to wait I guess
TheRealXartaX why is that, by the way? YT just being slow? ⊙u⊙
+FantasticFunk
Just takes some time for youtube to process it, assuming he uploaded a higher quality version.
Cheers, Cap!^^
The lower res versions process faster than the HD versions.
How can you tag switch after the initial start of your game
Do you have to delete the previous save games for tag switching or no?
Wait a sec.
If you make a client state in Rome, will they remove themself to give it back?
23:02 I don't thin this works with Third Rome now released.
I tried the double peace thing, but it for some reason It does not wait for a day, the result comes instantly
Does the playing past the end date work on older patches?
I'm not super convinced that the truce-timer exploit is actually an exploit (note: I don't use exploits but do use this, so possible confirmation bias). It just seems like a canny diplomatic action, the kind of thing it wouldn't surprise if a nation actually did. Plus, Paradox hasn't patched it out, so they can't feel it's too against the spirit of the game? Regardless, I'd be interested to hear what your definition of an exploit actually is.
Also, lol @ Timbuktu.
rip, you showed the tag switch one so now they'll fix it
So if Paradox fixes these in the next patch, will they still be functional in 1.21 if that's what I set my game launcher to, or will they even be fixed there?
Nope, you will stick with all features and bugs in 1.21. I'm currently also in 1.21 and just did transfer subject exploit.
Mfw I see that tagging into another country by file manipulation...I just discovered it for myself yesterday and turns out that the community has beaten me again :/
the hre exploit gives you a truce with a few nations until 1812 lol
does the double native reform still work?
fucking hell Reman
did you really have to tell them about the Venice and Provence in HRE exploit start
i wouldn't mind normally, but knowledge of how to abuse bugs and bizarre mechanics is effectively the measurement of skill in EU4
i don't wanna have to relearn the meta again, why do you think Shenryyr stopped playing?
wait.... did muscovy lose the war against novgorod? XD
why is ur chanel banner tbjzls lol
Reman, could you add time stamps? that would be great!
Does he mention that you can get both transfer subject and humiliate in the same peace deal if you just select transfer subject first and THEN click humiliate and confim the deal before the day ticks by?
What is the song at 13:12?
Falklands not part of SA. I think some Argentines might be a little miffed about that.
I'm so early that only 360p video is available :)
Yep!
Me too
same
Most of these dont work anymore, tested quite a few of them
Are these working for 1.22.1 patch too? Has anyone tested it?
Are those still usable in 1.22.1?
Make a video about strategies to beat ming please
Its fairly simple actually. You use being their tributary as a protective shroud while you gain development thru conquest.(a similar survival strategy works for smallish Balkan states who join HRE for protection from Hungry and Kebab) The benefits(i.e. not being murdered by Ming and non-tributaries in the early game while your weak) out weigh the short term expense of membership. From here there are two strategies:
1)If Ming aggressively enforces tributary on all land-bordering nations then it is wise not to draw their ire. Remain a tributary and gather wealth, development, and allies until you feel somewhat comfortable that you can defeat them by usurping their throne. Even if you cant take the throne and thus mandate from him, a cripplingly costly war will weaken his grip on the other tributaries, who, seeing the weakness of Ming may choose to stop paying up.
2)The more passive and probably easier approach. Same as before, become a tributary if Ming asks or you need to attack his tributaries for development. Gain development and allies until you are somewhat confident that you can resist Ming aggression. Once you reach this point break the tributary pact and steel yourself for the inevitable Ming attack. Refusing to pay tribute as a bordering nation will cause mandate loss in Ming that escalates depending on your development. Keep up full independence and gain dev. to accelerate the event of Mingplosion.
Important Notes: Do your best to obtain early access to the institutions. Stronger mil. tech than Ming is necessary to defeat their greater numbers or at least defend yourself. The easiest one is colonialism which can be obtained by getting a colonial nation in the Americas(easiest is Alaska).
Other REALLY important note: Neighboring non-tributary/subject horde nations above 300 dev. causes a disaster in Ming that bleeds mandate blindingly fast. It won't end until said horde goes under 300 dev. or is forced to become a tributary/subject. (Living long enough to trigger this is the mainstay strategy for horde nations near Ming)
How many and which of these are Ironman friendly?
all of them, that's kinda the point.
Osten Pontus I am trying hee one rn :^)
How many of these work on 1.20?
Inflation going up like Venezuelas
Yeah with the float overflow exploit it is easier, but Jake can't take loans :P
The biggest exploit: Mandate of Heaven. Just download it.
As China you can get Portugal as a Tributary before most nations even think of colonizing. Then you park your units in Lisbon before you attack a minor nation like Corsica or the Knights or whatever.
Game over, you won. I'm sorry, but I really hate this DLC.
China was STRONK back then, but this is way too much.
Who becames the china when you erase ming
14:50 Also greenland
The last exploit basically just shows why limiting achievements to ironman was retarded. And I say that as someone who legitimately earned a lot of quite hard achievements (no Three Mountains yet, exactly. But stuff like African Power ages ago. Might be easier now, idk).
Not to mention that you can just use a steam hack to instantly gain whatever achievement you want.
Hey Reman. Could you do a 1.22 (.1) video, or simply give an update about any older exploits that still work?
