Paradox: Shit... shit... shit...
Paradox knows that they will face exploits, they just hope they dont break the game to a certain degree, like the "AI doesnt ask for military acess" in this patch.
A while pack, there was a bug, but only in a very short time period, which prevented the AI from exploring... I had a really fun game because of this:)
actually no devolper says "we just relased perfect patch" EVER
reason:By fixing bugs you actually also create even more bugs(usually smaller ones) because you sometimes forgot that 1 thing you changed was keeping stuff together in somewere else
Now we know why Poland will keep switching Moldova from march to vassal and back again :P
Another kind of huge exploit I've noticed playing Shogunate is that you keep any vassals you make before tag switching to Japan as Daimyos (can even Sepukku them). Go into southeast asia, vassalize the OPM Malaysian sultanates that all get free colonists like Sulu, Tidore, Ternate. For the remainder of the game, even if you tag switch, they never take a relation slot and you can just have them as passive colonizers. Of course, you can take this into a super cheesy world conquest too with infinite vassals.
Waw thanks for sharing man! Great exploit! Japan Universalis incoming :D
What is the point to forming Japan? You can do a world conquest by making the whole world a vassal swarm: i.imgur.com/4iWaD6d.jpg
It's a lot easier than you might think to keep daimyo vassals loyal because they only calculate their individual relative power vs you, not the relative power of all daimyos. Plus it doesn't matter if they're disloyal, they can't declare independence and if they tried to attack you they would be fighting all other non-allied daimyos.
Do you think it would be as easy if you didn't use infinite money?
If i was actually trying to play optimally? Absolutely, would've just kept a lot more land for myself as trade companies. That run was more of a proof of concept than an actual tryhard game.
Well i had the same thing happening..... But they became independent when i relode the game.
I always feel so dirty watching these videos with all this forbidden knowledge
I was eagerly awaiting this video. Needless to say I am satisfied :D
Paradox needs to hire you
I'm sure he works at Paradox :D
Definitely not! It'd be a win-win for both of them, but from a selfish perspective Reman already uploads rarely as it is, I don't think I could stomach not having him around to soothe my EU4 craving once in a while.
WasheeWashee420 v $)you
Nice video mate! Thanks for putting in so much effort and staying so consistent
Always loved Bananapielord! Glad to see one of my favorite youtubers is using my favorite youtuber's music!
Thank you Reman. Excellent and helpful video.
The best eu4 channel! Love your vids
Nice video--I've been aware of (and have used) the Tributary exploit but the rest were quite new to me. I don't see them fixing the tributary exploit until they actually fix the tributary system.
Like your vids, super-smoothly speaking guy ! :D
Cant wait for the next one !
Btw there's a couple other more viable ways out of celestial empire that can't be done as Ming. The first is England's Civil War disaster is basically the same as the revolution in that it flips your government, it happens in the Age of Absolutism, it's more viable than the revolution because it's earlier, but it's not as useful as Polish Magnates.
The real kicker is any events that change your government when you click the button. You can't *trigger* them as a Celestial Empire, but as you know, you don't have to click any buttons on an event immediately. If you can take the mandate of heaven and become a celestial empire in the brief window you are holding a government switching event, you can use the option on that event to switch out.
Now, most have issues like the scheming bureaucracy event in that it is not at all reliable to trigger, and some trigger at times that are too difficult to pull off, such as Milan or Tuscany/Florence. However, there's 2 events with a MTTH of 12 months which the pre-reqs can be easily triggered whenever you desire. They are the events that change you to a despotic monarchy if you are an iqta or Ottoman government that is no longer Islamic. As you know, the dhimmi estate makes it extremely trivial to convert to whatever you want very quickly on demand. If the rebels occupy your capital they can enforce demands even without you being at peace.
I check your channel everyday to see these haha
Wow man, your videos are great!
A new Reman video!!!! Made my day
You are the best eu4 youtuber keep up the great work dude
Does Reman stream anywhere? He should. Or do some LPs of EU4. I love his videos. So clear and concise.
Last time i was so early every province was a fort
Reman, I'd like to add that you can skip all Aggressive expansion as a tributary of Ming if you conquest land and feed it to your vassals in the peace screen. It makes all the Aggressive expansion go to Ming. I just finished Ryukyu WC and used this.
I think he already covered that exploit in his exploit video for 1.21
ah. youre' probably right.
Where did he come from, where did he go
Holy moly the last one is gold. gonna try that asap! :D
holy shit I'm early, 360P is great tho
True "first" comment?
yea it was actually the first comment, lmao. I'm still conflicted on the last exploit, what is the use of a custom nation, as they can't get any achievements?
They can just the specific custom achievements and generic ones
you can get fcfs, ideas guy, rekindling the flames, for odin, etc
There's a few custom nation specific achievements: For Odin!, Rekindling the Flames, From Humble Origins, Ideas Guy and First Come, First Serve. They all have caps on custom nation points spent, usually 200, but it looks like if your total is in the negatives like Totally Legit was thanks to an awful consort then it'll count.
infinite monarch points with Russian government type would be very good... you would be able to use the abilities every year...
whaaaat
u are crazy
i subbed
Did they already fix the custom nation glitch?
Custom nations game with a huge fking nation in multiplayer, super OP ideas etc, thanks man, love this video
how about a video about the religious league war?
like who becomes leader? what conditions must be fulfilled, to join/get leadership?
I think I can answer that. The only way I know to become leader is to join a league first.
John Meyer for me more important is the question: how the game choose the leader of the protestant league. is it actual manpower or max mp, max forcelimit or used forcelimit? how does being an elector influence that? do you need to be protestant? (probably yes)
Well, I played as Holland, turned Protestant, formed the Netherlands, and when I joined the Protestant League first, I was automatically the leader. It might be based off of country strength, but I think its probably just whoever joins first.
John Meyer well that's not true, the leadership changes. in my italy game, brandenburg joined first, become leader, i joined later and got leadership. that's why i asked for a more indepth view of who get the leadership.
Pretty sure it is the most powerful(citation needed) Protestant country eligible to become Emperor under normal conditions.
Can I combine the vassal province stealing exploit with transfer vassal exploit? Like vassalize lithuania after war with poland for 0 warscore and then parasite on them until they got no land left to steal?
Idk if this is in the video
But giving a province to a vassal resets the active fort recapture mechanic
Aka your occupation zones won't be reverted if you give the province to a vassal and then back to yourself
So you can hold on to that sweet warscore the province gives you without needing to spend a 1k army just to keep the fort busy
That's my best discovery lol, I use it too often
Ah yes, the legendary nation of Totally Legit :^)
About the last one regarding military access. While enemy allies by default do not ask for one at the start of a war, they magically get one as soon as you get one.
Example - Brandenburg declaring war on Pomerania. Pomerania allied with East Frisia and Oldenburg. If you will ask Brunswick for military access, both enemy allies will get access to it aswell, and happily run to siege Altmark, but if you dont - they will sit in their OPM, while you are dismembering Pomerania 1v1.
Technically it can lead to some bizarre strats, like releasing nations and pumping relations with them/getting scutaged vassals cutting off land connection between enemies, so you can fight onesided wars while big enemy alliance have number advantage in theory
Oh nice one, I accidentally ran into that march exploit last campaign, but it's simple enough I'm sure a lot of other people did as well.
Oh shit the elective trick is actually pretty lit man.
Do you think you'll ever cover anyother paradox games?
Will you do more achievement guides ?
Thanks. No wonder every body loves Ray Mond
You dont have to release country -you can also return cores that are in the region of provinces of interest.
Can be "no morale damage" exploit used in the sea/ocean battles?
i think so
Does the second exploit for infinite morale just work with the two unit types showcased or with all unit types? Could this allow you to just permanently keep the military maintenance slider low since all of a sudden morale is less important?
woow the last one is amazing :D
The Qing Empire used to send merchant fleets with massive ships to show strength without fighting people they sailed all the way to the middle east.
There's one exploit relating to tributaries, and not just Ming but being a tributary to anyone, for whatever reason if your a tributary to someone, they are the ones that gets the aggressive expansion so if you have a overlord who is out of the way of everyone you never have to worry about coalitions since the aggressive expanison is on them not you.
it was in his last video
So far i'm pretty sure that Exploit 7 also applies to declaring a war on a personal union of the HRE emperor since when declaring a war on Hungary when it was in a personal union with the emperor (Austria), Austria never got a call to arms from Hungary. Not certain this works but someone should check this out just to be sure.
Yass boii. Slayy.
I love the Custom Nation Trick. Now I can get Siberian Frontier as My Tradition and do first come first serve Achievement in North America, hahaha.
nice funky music lol D:
oh my........well, Reman's(not sure how to call you), instead of points is there some way to get infinite or a higher number of custom nations possible in a game?
There is one quite nifty "exploit" that is related to the first one. It has been working for aslong as I can remember.
1. Call into war allies by promising land that you have marked as a interest, this should be done the same day you declare war.
2. Siege all the provinces your allies want.
3. After all the land your allies want is sieged and marked as a interest by you, you can take as much land as you want, the ai will want for nothing!
bayes yoyoyo You can't mark land your allies want as provinces of interest while at war
Read again, he means to do it the moment before you declare.
CoverofWinter Oh, missed that, still reduces trust and may lead to a broken alliance though as shared provinces of interest does that, especially as during the war your army might be reduced to the point the AI doesn't see a reason to ally you
what programs can read cst files?
Notepad or notepad++
Don't let the CST extension fool you, it's just a text file and any text editing program can open it.
doggo.exe
reaman can you please do a speerun-like campaign where you explain how to win and stuff you like that. you comentate over the speedrun footage and how you manage to beat the nation. Your paradox fixing policy video was amazing, and i don't mean the policy that you explained but just the raw footage of you wrecking as ryazan was so good that I went and searched for eu4 speedruns. But I have found none. I would strongly believe that some speedrun series of about 9 -12 episodes where you explain how you manage to become large would be tremendously satisfying to watch
tl;dr Speed up some footage and explain the important parts
Minghal's are alive.
One and four sound less like exploits and more like bugfixes, there are sometimes bugs that your subjects hate you because the former overlord sacrifieced their ruler or were your ally doesn't want any provnces so you lose trust no matter what you do.
11:34 Does this exploit work if we dont have the consort DLC?
Correction : did it and it works.
[raughs]
What events are these to lose the Elective Monarchy government type?
Seems there is an achievement guide that includes this, so I am putting the steps here:
Not sure if pretender rebels would work here, would they? If so, they change you to admin appropriate monarchy. This, however doesn't remove modifiers given from events due to having elective monarchy
Otherwise, it is a multi-step process:
1) Get a ruler that is less than 2 on at least one stat (any country can supply them)
2) This triggers the event "The Pacta Conventa and the Henrykian Articles" giving:
+50% Cost of Reducing War Exhaustion
+50% Reduce Inflation Cost
until a "Pacify the Sejm" event
3) After the above event and 1600 "The Struggle for Royal Power" event can trigger (and must for this strategy)
4) In this event, choose "Wage a war on the Nobility", giving:
-3 Stability
6 Polish Noble rebels in capital
3 Polish Noble rebels in random European province that isn't the capital
5) When the "Konfederacja" event pops up, choose either option:
a) "Try to negotiate with the konfederacja" (inadvisable)
b) "Reject their demands" (advisable), which spawns a 3 stack and a 2 stack of Polish Noble Rebels in European provinces
6) When the "Sandomierz Rokosz" event pops up, giving 3 random provinces a certain flag, choose either option:
a) "Confer with the rebel leaders" (inadvisable), but doesn't clear those flags
b) "Suppress the rebels" (advisable), which summons a 3 stack, a 2 stack, and a 1 stack of Polish Noble Rebels in those provinces and clears those flags
7) Around 3 years after step 4, assuming no province is controlled by rebels, the good "Pacify the Sejm" event should fire, which clears related modifiers and flags, as well as gives:
+50 Prestige
+3 Stability
+50 Legitimacy
(remainder is assuming you have Elective Monarchy and didn't somehow get this otherwise)
Government type is changed to Despotic Monarchy
+10 Absolutism
Why would you drop the celestial empire?
It's that time of month again methinks.
Anyone know which of these have been fixed? (I know Military access is fixed)
Do anyone know which of these still actually work?
Does anyone know if any of these still work in 1.23?
I don't see exploits as a cheat it's just a smarter way to play things for your benefits but of course if you want the challenge you can avoid using it
hey,Reman when do I become ming's tribute ?
I don't think changing the game's documents is an "exploit"
Hello everybody , somebody know how delete events spam in save which happens time to time in mp ?
You forgot the cheat to get a vassal for free using the first Era ability. Still works, just in a different way! ;)
"Buuuuut... they missed one."
To be fair, though, do you really think they'd look in POLAND for a buff in CHINA?! Sheesh, Reman, nothing can stop you, can it?
I was just reaserching that 😂
shame couldnt get the vassal liberty desire one to work :(
Y E S P A P A R E M A N
Super custom nations doesn't work for me. "corrupted file".
If you edit anything other than the monarch skill, it will corrupt the file. Don't do that.
In this video he clearly edited also the heir and the queen skills
M. Miretti You can only edit the king, queen, and heir in the text files.
I edited only king and queen and it corrupted the file
#10 doesn't work anymore but it was cool when it did.
What ones work?
What text editor did u use cuz im trying to use sublime and it wont let me open with sublime
Its just a text file, you can open it with notepad.
no ottamans delce war
Custom nations become corrupted....
Well damn...
How would you do this with a mac
by buying a pc
Boltzor Gaming true
March glitch has been patched.
i want to have kids with you
11:30 I don't think you should position that as an exploit
Why?
Nicholas Escalona, tinkering with game files is not an exploit of game mechanics, instead, it's more like cheating
Anything that involves editing or messing the game files with an external program would indeed be cheating. That being said, I'm surprised infinite manpower and infinite money through template overflow weren't mentioned in this video. You'll need an autoclicker for infinite money unless you want to spend half an hour clicking, but it's an incredibly obvious exploit to anyone who has a bit of knowledge about how computers store numbers.
前方高能 革命天朝。haha.
12:03 Wont work on ironman xd
While exploring how game mechanics work (or don't work) is certainly interesting where is the fun in playing the game by abusing exploits? If you want to cheat just use the console. I really don't get it.
Also this isn't meant to blame anyone. I am just curious what the appeal is for cheating in a game. Even if it is "legitimate" as long as it isn't fixed and iron man compatible.
To me it just shows how paradox does not care about actual bugs and problems while they are sonic level fast to fixing these exploits. Its not even ironic any more
The Grouch some people want the achievements but don't want to work for them
You don't necessarily have to get it. People have fun in different ways and from different sources. That's why some people love amusement parks while others get that tingly feeling from murdering foxes.
I never use EU4 exploits to get achievements, but I love playing around with some of them in normal games just for the hell of it. Minghals is fun to me just from the sheer overpowered combination of cored China + India permanent claims.
The Three Mountains is meant to be exploited.
Can you use console in multiplayer or in ironmode?
Reman, please go back and fix the description for the "10 exploits in 1.19" video
It says 1/4/16 instead of 1/4/17. I know it's petty but pls fix
1500 point ruler? Jesus Christ! though if your consort ends up inheriting, your kinda fucked.
Ca Ad abdicate asap
consort dies next month if you increase the age alot
Nice
nothing really outstanding. the final exploit is pretty big, but playing as a custom nation isn't as stimulating as playing an actual historical nation
tag switch
there are only a handful you can tag switch to
you can choose ur culture i picked prussian so my goal is to go home and conquer the mother land
actually iirc you can tag switch to anything you want (as long as you meet the conditions, culture and religion are important here, sometimes tech group), what you don't get is the event that gives you new national ideas (and why would you do that with this exploit anyways, since it lets you have any overpowered ideas you could possibly want)
