See what you want, but I never watched a woman’s game of basketball before and I started watching this year during the women’s basketball playoffs so I think there’s probably many people like me. Who’ve never watched before who are now interested in watching professional women’s basketball so I think she’s made a gigantic impact.
Pistol Pete only played 3 years of college ball without the benefit of a 3 point line. Given those circumstances, Caitlin's record is impressive, but not quite comparing apples to apples against Pete Maravich's record.

They are statistically the same. They’re the ONLY two players in college that deserve to be mentioned in the same sentence together.

Talk is cheap. Caitlin's college stats don't compare straight up to Diana Taurasi's WNBA stats. But in 19 years Taurasi has scored 10,108 points, approximately 500 ppy. In 4 years, Clark scored 3951 points, approximately 1000 ppy. Taurasi averages 19 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists per game over 19 years. Clark averages 28 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists per game. I'm watching to see how quickly Clark transitions her game to the WNBA now that she is surrounded by 5 star teammates.

In 4 years, Clark scored 3951 points, approximately 1000 ppy. Taurasi averages 19 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists per game over 19 years. Clark averages 28 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists per game. I'm watching to see how quickly Clark transitions her game to the WNBA now that she is surrounded by 5 star teammates.
