r/Entitledparents Neighbor DEMANDS I Give Her Son My New PlayStation 5
VloĆŸit
- Äas pĆidĂĄn 25. 12. 2020
- r/Entitledparents In today's episode, OP was lucky enough to get his hands on a brand new Playstation 5. His neighbors find out about this, and ENTITLED PARENT MODE: ACTIVATE! They start demanding that OP gives his PS5 to their kid for Christmas. OP refuses, so then they tell OP that they promised their kid a PS5 for Christmas, so if he doesn't get one it will completely ruin his Christmas. When OP still refuses, they start trash talking about him to all the neighbors to try to guilt trip him even more. Stay strong, OP!

In the first story, it sounds like the "wife" is sniffing around looking for inheritance from the family and is probably a scam/con that the husband is in on.
Yeah I think that too and maybe she even tries to get the uncle out of his family so he becomes her piggy bank too
EXXACTLYYY SNIFFING AND SCROUNGING
It seems really obvious when the hubby steps in to make his wife be invited to her boyfriends family
Yea she is trying to insert her and her child into a family she has no rights too. The big red flag she is out for the money was her trying to go after the Grandma for not making an account for her BAAAAAABY! How the Uncle can't see this is beyond me... There are plenty of unmarried fish in the sea so why is he with her!?
Idk, that story sounded like some major cap.
Is it just me or am I the only one who wouldâve gotten the police involved for harassment and possibly a restraining order to stop that entitled couple being such selfish pricks and give them a taste of reality?
Not just you.
That was my thought while watching. The fact they came over repeatedly to harass them was really getting to that point.
I havenât even watched it and can say I would do the same
Also to dump the fiancé as she want to give the neighbors the ps5 to keep the peace. She has no backbone at all. After hearing her say that I would so dump her right there.
@@sandywolfr26 that doesn't even make sense. She plays the long game. Sure, it's a bad play since falling for extortion once quickly gets you in a similar situation again, but she might not even think much of the ps5. If you break up with someone for wanting to keep the peace with the neighbours and buy another ps5 later on you're the a****le.
Have you ever thought that the op loved his fiancée
Yes, purposely feeding someone something you know theyâre allergic to counts as intentional poisoning.
well i am allergic to noise everybody speaking to get ready to be sued

Well, I think she thought if the kid didn't know they'd eaten potatoes that they wouldn't react to them because allergies aren't real. And when OP did react to them, apparently allergies still aren't real? She doesn't need jail time, she needs a psych evaluation so that she stops thinking things aren't real when they're right in front of her.
@@strawberrysoulforever8336 I hope she gets an allergy.
@@Owen_loves_Butters She probably does have one and doesn't know it. It's probably less obvious, like constipation or something.

Man, the story about the entitled Grandma brought tears to my eyes. That Dad is a stand-up guy, with a pure heart. I hope him and his kids are doing well.
Yup, that lawsuit settlement he offered just locked EG's dumbass out of so much; a good move on his part now will hopefully save him so much more in the future.

Entitled mother: âallergies arenât real unless you let themâ
So an 8 year old is somehow faking blood coming out of his mouth?
Even if a light wasnât on or something, why wouldnât she check to see if he wasnât faking? She was practically babysitting someone elseâs child, yet had not a care in the world about them.
My mother would have beaten that woman to a pulp.
idk, i was really allergic to flower(the baking kind) and my granny feed me alot of baked stuff, me in my 7year old mind who was taking allergie meds 3times a day thought that it would be okay if i ate abit. My organs involving food processing stopped working and i was on a verge of dying for 4days, the doctor in the town where my granny lived said that its just bloated stomach and gave some meds for it. I almost died, my mom took me to the hospital as soon as she heard that my granny feed me that and that i could barely move for days. Almost died, the doctor in the city said ''one more day and she could have had a ripping and died'', yeah lets just say my granny never after that feed me anything which i couldnt eat, yet my younger cousin later had similar case as well.

Not trying to be rude or anything, but why do neighbours/EP's automatically assume that OP or anyone gives a f*ck about their kids
They try to make people guilty. It's more heartbreaking to ruin kids feelings than adults feelings.
Attempted guilt-tripping using the "this is for my kid" or "you'll ruin their day" excuses, as if everyone except themselves is responsible for parenting their kids
Especially since they clearly don't give a fuck about other people. Why do they assume others care about them when they don't care about others?
They know other people don't care, but want to manipulate them into feeling bad and giving up something that the other person has that they don't. If the person had offered to sell the system I bet you the neighbors would have pour on the guilt trip to try and get it cheaper/free. The poster is entirely right not to give in. If they move an inch the neighbors will harass them for everything, knowing that they can get their way and the poster will NEVER get paid in full (or at all) for the system. It would be better to tell them to go fuck themselves and be done with it.

I was in my late 30s when my wife made "friends" with an entitled B---- a few blocks down. This woman also believed allergies are a mental issue, not a physical one. I am extremely allergic to most berries. Some will made me just violently ill and some will kill me if ingested. One autumn she came over for a potluck dinner and brought a spaghetti casserole dish, tomato based sauce. Wanting to be nice I tried some. Has a strange taste. I asked what was in it and she said it was "family secret". About the third bite in I could feel my throat constricting. I tried to get to the EpiPen we keep in the kitchen, but by now my airway was completely constricted, I couldn't breathe. And I passed out.
when I gained consciousness I was in the hospital. The rest is from my wife. The "friend" was yelling at me to get up and stop faking, even though I now have deep red splotches forming on my skin. She got the EpiPen, injected me and within about 30 seconds I could at least breathe a little. My wife called for an ambulance, all the time the "friend" is yelling allergies aren't real, I"m FAAAKINNGGG!!!!
This B----- laced the casserole with a strawberry puree. As soon as the EMTs heard this, they grabbed the casserole as evidence. the "friend" at this point was trying to leave, WITH the casserole.
End of story, she was going to get 5 years in prison for intent to cause bodily harm (the DA was originally shooting for attempted homicide). Her lawyer got the judge to commute the sentence to time served, full restatutions for all my hospital bills and time missed from work (about 2 months), some punitive damages, 1000 hours of community service, and to never be within 500 yards of me or my wife. She sold her house within 2 months and moved to another section of town.

The 2nd parents would have been in a better position if they had not promised their kids something they could not produce. When they say think about the children, they should think about what they could give their child not what someone else to give their child.
Entitled Parents think that to be selfless is to be a spineless pushover, hypocritically throwing tantrums whenever someone asks them to do the same
Who tells their kids what they're getting for Christmas, anyway? It's supposed to be a surprise, right?
They also only claimed to promise it to them after a few days of failed harassment. They're just entitled dumbasses.
Part of growing up is learning you can't everything you want. In fairness to the OP he'd presumably been on good terms with the neighbours previously if the neighbours took delivery of parcels for them. It wouldn't have been so bad if the parents had asked once if OP would sell the PS5 but accepted it with a good grace when he declined.
@mike sixx I'd give them a warning, "Stop harassing me or I tell, and *prove* how Santa isn't real beyond any reasonable doubt. Also inform your kid all the details of how you are trying to guilt trip me into giving you mine." My mother wouldn't take this allergy too seriously until recently, when she said "I'll put the walnuts so small in the cake you won't notice them". It was then when my younger brother came to my aid and said "It's not about the size of the walnuts' pieces, but the fact that they are there". People using the "You're too old for that!" argument to justify things to bend to their will honestly peeve me to no end. What are they trying to do? Make us cave under judgement and self consciousness? That's not their call to make, and certainly none of their business to be ordering others around like that. That aside, i feel iffy on how Fiance was that willingly easy to just give up to keep the peace honestly.
Srsly, that's not *peace*. It's only thr calm before the storm. Additionally, the EPs are just gonna think of OP as an indirect product station. They'll just wait for him to buy shit and demand him to give it to them for the same price he bought them. It's only gonna spiral out of control like the usage of cocain
While I agree with all but the last, I don't think the fiance was "easily" handing it over. I doubt they would want their partner to be hurt by the fact that they had to give up something they liked. But I don't think constantly getting judged by everyone in the neighborhood makes it easy.
In the end, nothing is peaceful in this situation, and any ending would've made some party mad.
And, I am glad they didn't give away the PS5, and that they didn't cave.
The fiance was likely bullied in such a manner since she was small so I wouldn't be so hard on her for her wanting to be willing to be extorted without realizing it to make it stop.

If we disregard the law and fall to their level (mind you, this is fucked up), I would pay a gang to beat up the kid (maybe break a leg or two) and put the kid in a hospital for a few months. Then pay the gang to trash their house and break their properties to teach them a lesson, while also hiding drugs in their house and calling the police on them for having access to illegal drugs. It's not really a morally correct thing to do but it's not like that family cared about ruining the guy's life either.

am i the only one here thinking an expensive console is actually for adults not 7 years old kids... like don't get 500$ stuff to your kid, that's crazy
??? I have seen lots of people spend themselves into bankruptcy getting extravagant gifts for their kids.
Yeah. Like, if you're gonna get a 7y/o something *that* expensive, get him a switch. That console has better suited games for a 7y/o child. Imo, the ED was trying to use his child as an excuse to take the PS5 from OP, and forced his child to say that he always wanted a PS5. Talk about "community spirit" huh.
@@bachboy678 It was an excuse, the Dad wanted it for himself not his kid.
I mean get them the 399$ switch its children friendly and worth the money
@@bachboy678 Yeah, I love Mad Father on the switch. Great game for the kids.
So I'd like to share 2 entitled people stories that happened to me. Both are short and unsatisfying but I want to let out my anger.
The first one happened when I about 5ish. Me and my Mom were at a small beach. We were minding our own business when this crazy lady walking by starts yelling at out of nowhere. I was obviously scared so I started crying and hid behind my mom. After about 5 minutes, the crazy lady walked away walked away. I asked my mom what just happened and she said, "Some people just do really mean things."
The second story happened when I was eleven about a year before Covid. My family was on a trip to Hawaii over Spring/Easter break. On Easter day. there was this event where all the kids would search for Easter eggs. There were 2 sections: One for little kids, and one for big kids like me. There were also golden eggs that were rare. I was looking for eggs when I overheard this:
Karen: Look K! Is that a golden egg?
I rushed over and sure enough, there was a golden egg. I reached for it but Karen stopped me.
Karen: WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU!?
Me: What is wrong with me? What is wrong with you!?
Karen just laughed and walled away with K and the egg
Karen is in the wrong because A) K looked to young to be in the big kid section. B) It's her fault I overheard her and. C) She GRABBED MY ARM TO STOP ME LIKE WHAT ON EARTH LADY??????
Hope you guys enjoy these stories and if either of you Karens are reading this, y u bully me.
I donât have Reddit, but I wanted to mention this. One day I was just playing Roblox, which is a game with many other games inside of it, and others can make games inside of it, probably not the best explanation but I tried. Anyways, I was playing a game and it was basically a would you rather and you could insert your own would you rather, so I made one that said, would I rather play Minecraft, or play Roblox? And my favourite game is Minecraft but I play Roblox sometimes, so the answer is Minecraft, but then immediately after, this kid started saying âthen go play Minecraft instead!â And I was playing with some of my friends and they responded and said âhuh? They are playing with friends thoughâ then this some of the entitled part, âMY DAD MADE THIS GAME, AND I WILL BAN (insert my username here)â and instantly I was like âokay, if this is real ban me from the game.â And they typed in the /ban stuff and then they said â it will ban you in 100 seconds! You need to have some fun before you are banned.â Then 5 seconds later typed âwait, FINE I WILL UNBAN YOUâ and typed the unban command WRONG. And yet I was never banned. Then in their custom would you rathers, where âban (insert username here), or slap (username here)â and at this point I knew this was just an entitled kid who honestly didnât like the fact I was playing Roblox instead of a different game. I have no idea why this kid felt like this was a bannable problem. XD Have a good 2021!
EG: *gets 500k and wasted*
Karma: there's a tax for that
If I was in his shoes and that family tried that emotional blackmail with me, the second they brought the kid over, i wouldve said "Well maybe your dad will take you to the store and buy you one, I had to work hard for mine." I mean REALLY turn it around on the parents to make them the bad guys.. Also, if that neighborhood is as upscale as he says, then those parents can afford to pay a scalper for one... (DONT SUPPORT SCALPERS!!)
Oooh, I like this idea.
I will never suport scalpers + stopping them probaly wont help with the stock because of the hing actual demand
I'd be turning that "responsible adult" crap back on them. I'm not the responsible adult that promised their child something they can't follow through on. I'm also not the adult responsible for that child. Personally, I'd love to have PS5, and I do what I can to follow the drops and get one for myself. But I'm also not angry at other people for getting them. Just the scalpers for artificially creating high demand, and the asshats that brag about getting one or claiming to have gotten several. Those are people being dicks just because no one can punch them in their faces.
@@bryanwoods3373 I'd pay money to be able to punch them in the face, with their own PS5.

I had a Karen try to tell me my dust allergy wasn't sever...she blew dust in my face, had me blinded for 1 day because of the allergy attack and 2 days later i was still unable to see due to sensitive eyes (blind basically for 3 days) and almost had my throat closed.... the money we sued for was used for medical bills and a trip đ€·ââïž

@@velvety2006 in this case is complicated. I mean, one thing is wanting something someone can't provide. Other is be able provide it but getting something cheaper just because is "convinient". We went shopping in Auburn in Sydney, when we decided to take Prestige Cabs, the man was nice and helped us out. When we arrived back at our home, my mum said, âWhy didnât you go back into the driveway for the parking?â The man replied, âWe arenât allowed to go into the basement.â I thought to myself that it was a rule for Prestige Cabs, i tried to tell my mum, and she just ignored me, âyou could have at least gave me a thank you?â She replied with âThere is no need to be rude.â She started to lose her patience. When we got to the elevator, i told her about them not being allowed to go into the basement and i was surprised she said âwell i see other cabs do itâ basically meaning others should too. Leading to now, typing this up. Hope my mum realises.
Allergic to potatoes... My Irish soul cried hearing that
In the last story she definitely had to call the cops, that was insane, that woman deserves to go to jail, her kid will be better of growing without her.
OP should threaten that entitled couple with calling CPS if they didnât leave him alone and tell the truth. Entitled parents are afraid of CPS because they know what they are doing is wrong and harassment.
The OP was clear that they were in a middle class community in the UK... No matter how entitled his neighbours are, no, they are not going to be the least bit concerned about Social Services (the equivalent of CPS).
But suggesting using threats to call in CPS on somebody for an issue that is completely unrelated to the child's welfare is disgusting. Shame on you!
That's like threatening someone from Ireland with the FBI.

@@anjafrohlich1170 I worked retail. That was my daily. At my last part time, this guy came in saying he spoke to someone that was supposed to be holding a part, but we didn't know anything and didn't see the part on the counter. Towards the end, the customer demanded "isn't anyone going to apologize?". I and the store director just kept our mouths shut. We both just offered to check and see if we could find it again. Mind you, he might have spoken to the store a few miles away. After he stormed out, I told my manager that there was no way I was apologizing since I know that's just going to lead to me having to stand there for another ten minutes while he ranted. My manager said that's exactly why he didn't either. In my mind, you're not a customer anymore once you refuse solutions, so I'm only going to do enough to get you to go away as fast as possible.
'You're right, I should be thinking about the children, just not YOUR kid."
The perks of being a person who isn't that kids parents is that it's none of your business what the kid wants for Christmas. THEY chose to have that kid, not OP.
No way in hell would I ever sell or giveaway my PS5 to some random neighborhood kid. Itâs mine. I paid for it!!!
The Father in the last story loved his Wife very much and it shows, he earned my respect đȘđŒ
The only reason that 7 year old kid found out about the PS5 is because his parents were stupid enough to talk about it in front of him.
I'm no gamer, so I couldn't care less about a console, but emotional blackmail is bang out of order - OP's neighbours need to grow the hell up.
I actually wouldnt be surprised if the parents told him to go tell the neighbour he wants the ps5 just so the parents themself could play.
I never knew you could be alergic to potatos, sounds like a living hell.
Yeah, there's a list of fruits and vegetables that digest as a latex protein, so if you are allergic to latex you can have allergies to those fruits and vegetables & unfortunately potato is on that list. Found this out the hard way. :-(
In the US I imagine having a corn allergy would be worse
Apparently there's also someone that's "allergic" to water (causes irritation on the exterior of her skin from just showering).
Now that sounds like an awful allergy.

@Uranium 233 not necessarily.
Similar to the entitled grandma story, I've got an entitled daughter story. After my parents divorced my mom met an older man (about 15 years older). They lived together for over 20 years without getting married. As his health declined, my mom got power of attorney over his finances (his idea), and eventually they did marry. After he died, his daughter sued my mom, saying that my mom spent her dad's money ON HIS MEDICAL CARE, and that they weren't really married since her dad wasn't in his right mind. So the daughter was expecting that my mom would spend her own money on caring for someone that wasn't really her husband (according to the daughter). In the end my mom caved and gave the daughter $30k to make her go away. Insanity.
I was REALLY hoping that OP in the PS5 story was going to say that he had just sold it to an elderly person
A bunch of people didnât get a ps5 this year like they hoped what gives that guy the privilege to say their kid deserves one for Christmas because Christmas is all about the kids even though itâs not. đ€
Not just PS5s, also Xbox Series X/S, RTX 3000, RX 6000, Ryzen 5000, and basically everything else.

Course my family found out i didn't like expensive gifts when I was younger and prefered more practical things I can use.
"I'd love to give your son my PS5, but unfortunately when I was taking it out of the box I sneezed all over it. I tested positive for COVID later that day. Such bad luck!"
That would be a stupid response because they would just say antiseptic would clean it. I just tell my neighbors to F off.
Just say you dropped it and it broke, then play it with full volume moments later so the neighbours know you lied.
so that's when I said "I don't know how to tell you this son but Santa caught the virus and is on a ventilator in the Fairbanks hospital....they don't think he'll make it...maybe you should ask your dad to buy you a PS5. Ya'll have a good day now." I immediately closed the door and called the post to make sure no future packages were left with that neighbor and swore to never humble brag about my purchases again. :-D
In the last story OP's mom could have charged friends mom with attempted manslaughter (probably other charges to any lawers i would like to hear what other charges you could put against them. Also am I right about it being attempted manslaughter)
I'm just confused why the Uncle didn't break up with Sandy. Stalking my own mother and trying to force her to open a bank account for a child that isn't mine should've been the definitive end of the relationship. Not even before that point--- He should've put her in her place that until she was only married to him, she and her daughter is NOT part of the family.
Agreed; Sandy's attitude towards an elderly lady (OP's Grandma) is so bratty that with that attitude,I'm certain everyone in OP's side of the family excludes her to merely a stranger harassing others.
Screw that neighbor for using his son as a means of trying to guilt the guy out of the PS5, and for trying the âtoo old for video gamesâ crap. For saying that they promised the thing and ruined the kids Christmas.
Screw them for turning the others against him. And NEVER GIVE THEM THE PS5!!!
If that was my neighbour, I would uhh, let's just say they would doubt their own sanity
âAllergies arenât real, you just decided to wake up in the middle of the night, poked all these blisters in your mouth and faked this vomit, and are now fake crying because youâre not actually in pain. All while being 8 years oldâ

Did anyone imagine the child running in circles, spongebob style, screaming itâs not fair?
Noodle arms and all
So intentionally feeding someone something that they were told was an allergy is chemical assault which,i think, has a longer jailtime than manslaughter
Plus she didn't helped the kid while he was just VOMITING ALL HIS STOMACH ACID AND BLOOD. Pretty sure it can be classified as none assistance of person in danger + a bit more since OP was minor
@@xlife.lightx thatâs child neglect/child endangerment
Basically, someone should have killed the endangering mother.
It's so disgusting that inheritance issues can tear families apart. I've witnessed this(not my family). The vultures come out and their intentions are clear, while others in the family only want to grieve and maybe take something with sentimental value. Some are so greedy and entitled. It's gross.

If I was OP in the ps5 story, I'd tell the neighbors "you're right, I got a change of heart and gave the console to a poor family" xD
That PS5 story could've been avoided OP had just said that the parcel was a custom present for his Mum, or a something a friend sent him. You never tell the truth to a neighbour.
Obviously he thought he could trust them if he has them picking up his deliveries. And Obviously there was no way he could anticipate that the parents would respond like that.
In that last story, what that mom did definitely would count as Gross Negligence Leading To Bodily Harm.
And child endangerment too. And probably several other things too.

I asked the same question on another channel a while back when they read this story, but I'll ask it again. What kind of SEVEN year old needs such an expensive console? It would make more sense if it was the parents who wanted it.
My 7 year old nephew usualy has a under current gen console ...basically cause his dad always buys the next gen console and then hands it down. At the same time his 14 year old brother plays. Yet my 7 year old nephew is kinda funny when he plays because his hands can't fit the controller completely so his hand and eye cordination is pretty off its funny seeing him play but eh when he gets bigger his hands will adjust to the size of the controller. I don't think they really need up to date console either.
Red Flag Parents want the PS5 for themselves and using Their kid to try and trick Op to give them his .
Iâd set up my ps5 in my driveway and sat there playing it on Christmas Day at full volume in full view of a crying 7 year old. Then Iâd let everyone but that kid have a go. âSorry kid the games a 15... you are only 7â
Ngl I feel bad for the kid, his parents lied to him, and was probably humiliated by other kids (maybe, idk) in the school who saw this.
