Me too! I first lived in a service apartment located at Bur Dubai, near Spinney's supermarket, before I moved to Oud Metha, close to Wafi Mall, a few months later. The traffic at Bur Dubai was a disaster, and that area at night was quite something😅

I was in Dubai for my birthday originally I was only supposed to be there from Sept. 9-30, but I loved it so much I extended my stay until Oct. 31. I visited all the places you traveled except the hotel at Barsha Heights, but I did go to Barsha Mall of Emirates.
4:33 I stayed at the Hilton Resort from September 3-11 last month. Fantastic hotel in a great location. It was my first ever holiday in Dubai from Manchester. Had such a good time that I am going to stay at the Grand Hyatt from January 14-21 in 2023.
We were in Dubai from the 3rd of Oct till 9th Oct 2022. Dubai is magnificent and yes super expensive. Dubai is the stuff dreams are made up of. Your blog refreshed our trip memories. Wonderful video.

So if "Dubai has a Dark side and they treated you bad" .. What makes you come back to Enjoy it ? it looks like they treated you well in the past which made you love them and come back. Otherwise, you would hate to visit again. Make up your mind.
He just tell his bad experienced he don’t commit a crime in Dubai so he is free to come back and enjoyed. But to hold the passport of the workers is a violation of human rights. If their motive is clean and honest they have to make a photo copy of a passport but not the original one.
I lived there in 2008/2009, which saw some significant changes in the completion of the Burj Khalifa and the opening of Dubai Mall etc, but I was much happier living in Al Satwa and spending my time in Deira and everything that end. Dubai really has something for everyone and I miss it very much. Thanks for this great video.

Awesome video. I'm also following my Dubai and Jordan travels on my channel. Old Dubai/Bur Dubai in my opinion is super underrated. Also a tip for some planning to go to Dubai, although the Dubai Expo is over, they have converted it into Dubai Expo City and will be keeping a select few pavilions from the 180+ they had during the whole duration. We split half our time in downtown dubai close to sheikh zayed road and the other half in the jumeirah beach residence side to get the best of both parts of Dubai.
I couldn’t agree more Dubai completely an absurd City extremely expensive compared to the last 10 years. indeed can’t deny, it seems magical city with stupendous skyscrapers. I’ve been there and done that too yes so many sweet memories I’m glad had the opportunity working with my previous company. But I miss Dubai
Dubai is an the architect’s playground when it comes to designing and constructing the buildings. It’s too bad the wheel was closed for maintenance. No wonder when you showed it, there were no pods attached to it. They could have still had it operational where riders could just hang onto the steel struts and go around, but that would be too dangerous!

It is always fun to watch your videos, which are very well done and informative. Makes me want to visit Dubai again, especially the old city with the souks. Nice to see Dubai many years ago. But to me, it was such a thrilled experience..... many high buildings like in Abu Dhabi. I like to live mostly in the best location was Jumeirah 1to 6. Those days I used to go n watch sunset every evening where Dubai government built up the tallest Burj-Al- Arab buildings now. It was only beach we could travel along the sea coastline in Jumeirah.... I have seen many area you have been traveled....... One of my European friend just posted this to realise and to tell me to informed my friend want to go Dubai...... to work? Nice video Gabi. As always you make it very informative and enjoyable to watch . I was myself in Dubai in JBR 2 weeks ago . I had the same experiences as you , JBR beach was nice but after a while in the water I really felt the need to escape the heat and get off the beach into the ac . The sun is still strong and hot , and it takes some time to get used too it . Burj khalifa and it’s fountain show made a big impression on me . Normally I travel to Thailand or Spain , so I wanted see Dubai for a change . Dubai is nice , but somehow I felt the atmosphere different , like in Thailand where you can easy find a nice Terras to sit and have a beer for affordable price , and have streets full packed with cozy restoran / bars and terraces. That is something that I kinda missed little bit . It was a little bit hard to find nice cozy restoran . Some restoran at skytop roofs and with fountain views are amazing I heard , but the price then is quit high ( I would not mind for one time , but it would kill my holiday budget fast if I had a fancy dinner like that all night ) . I went also out at nightclub one time in Dubai , at the Hangout in the Marina area . The atmosphere was good , and I had a fun night out but the price was quit costly ( a beer costed around €12 ) . I miss kinda the relax feeling like I had in Thailand and Spain , where I almost can go anywhere and eat Anywhere and drink a beer without think about my budget and the bill later on . But further about Dubai , I found most staff at home and restoran very friendly . The city is clean , had amazing attractions and nice beaches . Its just to some degree it missed some coziness and life . But Certain attractions are amazing , and there are still many things of Dubai that I have not seen yet . Its good also you made another video about the dark side of Dubai , which shocked me ( since I was also considering about work over there before ) . Thanks also for pointing that out . OMG you stay at millennium place barsha height , I stayed at this place too on May 2022 for two weeks holiday . I really like this place , the view from higher floor sky room so amazing. The same like me I visit dubai again after 10 years , but it was in May -June . So much big changes there …, 10 years ago , the street without name 😀😀😀. Very confused . I still not upload my video dubai trip yet . To me , Bedouin evening in desert safari was amazing experience.

Yes it’s two opposite experiences. On one side you have history, art and culture. On the other side you have a modern, futuristic and extremely “superficial” reality.
I was there at Christmas visiting my brother, and spent a lot of time up & down on the metro. The Expo was amazing ! I loved being a tourist there. It was good to watch your video and see a lot of places I visited.

Never been to Dubai and never been out of the country. However you are very detailed on your travels to different countries and Dubai seems like a beautiful and exciting place to visit! So if people want to travel where you have, they know the ins and outs of the country which helps people which is great! How do I go about a bank note from there? I have been to Dubai twice 2021 and 2022. It is amazing how it changed in 1 year. Planning another trip this year to take my mother and her friends.

I was there at Christmas visiting my brother, and spent a lot of time up & down on the metro. The Expo was amazing ! I loved being a tourist there. It was good to watch your video and see a lot of places I visited.

Never been to Dubai and never been out of the country. However you are very detailed on your travels to different countries and Dubai seems like a beautiful and exciting place to visit! So if people want to travel where you have, they know the ins and outs of the country which helps people which is great! How do I go about a bank note from there? My husband is a collector on bank notes. Be safe on your future travels! 😊
