@14:10 greatest game cutscene voice acting in a game. This game had strong story with well defined characters and so cinematic. It will be really hard to improve in this for the remake

45:43 You know what’s sad? We can see that Alexia, despite all her megalomania and even how she puts down her own brother in her notes, still did love him and is upset by his death. She cradles him and sings to him the moment she wakes up and she realizes he’s dead. She got dressed and came back to cradle and sing to him AGAIN, like she can’t accept letting him go just yet.
Plus it hints how in the past, she prolly sang and comforted him to sleep with that song (it’s a melody called a berceuse which is usually for lullabies). Whatever their relationship, her immediate instinct is to comfort him, and I think it shows how she truly could be caring and sweet to one person in her life, and he’s gone.
And then she put his body in the same cryofreezer she was in. Honestly, I think she was trying to preserve his body and was planning to resurrect him with mad science.
She saw him as a slave. In the game its written she wants to be queen and every ant serves the queen. Every ant is expendable and may die but not queen. She described alfred as soldier ant

Just finished this game 10 minutes ago after playing through it for the 1st time over the last 3 or 4 weeks, so much fun and probably my new favorite RE game. The Steve and Alfred combo made this game pretty darn entertaining their voice actors were perfect. Just here trying to relive the adventure one more time.
Surely Wesker can kill both Chris and Claire right away easily if he's not playing around too much with them

Probably the part when you get to the Antarctic as Claire, I've only ever beat this game once compared to RE2 and 3 but it's still a really good game.

Oh, this brings back SO many memories. Was it difficult? Yes. However, there was no better feeling than beating Alexia with that final shot of the rocket launcher. For those looking for tips on how to beat it, here's some tips: 1. CONSERVE YOUR AMMO! 2. Master the controls. 3. Make sure to leave EVERYTHING - weapons/herbs - for Chris in the item box. Once made a mistake taking everything with me as Claire. Once I got to Chris, that hurt. Not impossible, but definitely made the game harder than it already was.
I used to play this all the time as a very young kid. I never beat it completely until I was 15

They could've combined RE2 and 3 in the same Remake, since RE2 is pretty small in lenght for today's standards and that way they could've just start working on a RECV Remake. Not to mention that RE2 and 3 take place almost at the same time.
RE4, 5 and 6 are fine the way they are, they are pretty much modern RE games.

Since this comment, I went on to do a video essay on the Original Claire Redfield story almost EVERYONE missed, and I mean that literally as I have not seen a single youtube vid highlighting it. On top of being "Aunty Claire" for her next 2 canonical appearences, there is a hidden in plain sight story of a poor kind hearted God conscious good girl (not the girl that has a legion of boyfriends as the WIKI would have you wrongly believe) suffering from PTSD for more than THIRTEEN years, specifically due to events of CVX and not Racoon City.

+ScyberPsylock re4 still stayed true to its roots some because some survival and horror elements and exploration, a few puzzles and some scares though for me. it did took the series to the new direction because of action adventure. and it's OK if it it's action adventure, but it should have still stay true like re1-cv, which it did ;), but like I said it may be action adventure and took the series to a different direction and made other games action. However, it still the best Resident Evil game and it still has some re1-cv elements.

I found this the most difficult Resident Evil out of all the ones i played so far, part 1, 2, 3, remake of part 1 and Zero. Took me 16 hours and 15 minutes to complete it oh my. Got stuck sooooo many times, rusty sword room, looking for the valve handle with chris, and the final part where you had to get the 2 jewels
Steve deserved to die, look at how much ammo he just wasted trying to drown out listening to Claire.

Except he wasn’t really a cross dresser, he really believed he was Alexia. Alfred developed a split personality of her as a result of going insane from her absence. If today’s SJW’s were to see this game, I’d hope they would understand the game is trying to portray a mental illness, not someone who cross dresses in their spare time. Claire probably meant that insult to be towards Alfred alone, not people who really cross dress. And if the game were to be remade, they would probably take that insult out entirely, and do the scene like they did in Darkside.

One is triggered by not killing any zombies as steve, one by killing some but not all, and one by killing all of them. the part shown here is shared by all three of them but the dialogue prior in the full cutscenes are different for each
