- As his name can tell it, the forgotten soldier is the one of the most underrated characters in resident evil games. As a tribute, I created this story-type video to show you the full story of this soldier that started with the first incident in raccoon city. To make this video recorded my own scenes from multiple resident evil games using my PC gaming setup. Really hope you will enjoy it!

All you need to know about the Forgotten Soldier:
-His scenario isn’t canon, so it doesn’t matter.
-He’s the guy who got smashed into the wall after yelling “Eat this, you freak!”/“Over here, you freak!” (You can kill his zombified corpse in 4th Survivor).
-Hunk is the only Umbrella operative to escape Raccoon City.

In 4th Survivor, he’s the zombie that sits up from the crushed wall after you encounter the G-Adults.

2. This is a ‘what if’ scenario, where one of HUNK’s men survives (possibly J Martinez)

It would of been interesting to see that in later games where we meet up with Hunk and Ghost, especially considering Ghost was someone who pretty much broke the curse all of Hunk's teammates die.
Granted, it's not canon but would be cool to see them again.

Hunk and Forgotten Soldier are different people for those *unaware* . The soldier you play as, in the Ghost Survivors mission is one of Hunk's team members. *There is however a 4th Ghost Survivor Mission where you do play as the man himself, Hunk* .
Hunk is not in ghost survivors for he is not a ghost or a story that never was
His mode is The extra mode titled 4th survivor for he really did canonically survive raccoon city

Ok so for anyone confused the character that you control in this DLC is not Hunk. This DLC is a what if scenario where one other member from HUNK's squad survived. HUNK is the only one from this group that made it out alive canonically.

6:15 I remember this scene like yesterday. One of the few times I felt trully bad for the soldier. He’s on the ground, Gets stabbed, Than becomes SO wounded he cant even fight the rats.
And the mp5 is randomly shooting lol.

Honestly his story in RE:MAKE 2 is probably the most canon of them because it'd still make sense even tho it isn't canon, Ada manages to get a G-Sample that way but loses it cuz Darkside Chronicles is a thing and the guy possibly gets killed by Ada

The look of the Umbrella agents gear is just so slick. And they all use HK's which are the slickest guns around. BTW was anybody else wondering why the MP5 was firing on its own in the outbreak cutscene lol
Their gear looks absolutely fire, but I think their weapon choice is a bit on the light side. If you’re going to be dealing with mutated monsters, the HK-53 is pretty much the MP-5 in 5.56.
@@TY-PO yea 100 if I had to fight mutant zombies that were bullet sponges I'd go for a more powerful caliber than 9mm.
@@weaver1507 Now that I think about it, they do shrug off a lot of rounds. I think they chose a light loadout for speed and to slow the zombies enough to jog past them. Still, it’s better to pack a punch then pack too little.

There are plenty of cases of people being shot TENS of times and still being alive....
Bullets are very unpredictable, they can shatter on impact, they can bounce around inside of you, they can literally do a near 180 inside of you and stop, they can flatten after hitting a bone, they can tumble, they can split in half, they can spiral. You ALWAYS check as someone can live from way over 10 shots, especially from a round like a 9mm.

It always stuck with me that most of the soldiers didn't die to Birkin, just incapacitated by him. It was the rats infected with the t-virus that did them in. I couldn't imagine the pain of being eaten alive by rats.

the intro to RE: outbreak was always poetic to me. it truly deserves its own game just to fit around that scene and their perspective.

Different stories set at about the same time but slightly different for almost all of them.
This event kicked off all those different games. It’s due to the spread of the virus during Birkin’s rampage that RE2 and RE3 even happen let alone the events of Outbreak, Operation Raccoon City and the chronicles games.
I still like to believe Hunk and the Forgotten soldier both made it out. I know Hunk did, but the way the Forgotten Solider escaped in ghost survivor really seems to fit. And for Kendo as well. Even though in the original story he killed himself, in the remake that could have actually changed.
As for the Mayor's daughter and the cop at the gas station, definitely a what if story. As they both seen die and already dead (Ben being seen killed)

RE:2 remake has my favorite reinterpretation of events.
I also like Operation Raccoon City's more action oriented take on it. If you could combine the action of Operation Raccoon City with the storytelling of the RE:2 remake, you'd have a real gem.
Oh and, 6:15 Mix in a little artsy cinematography from this Outbreak cutscene too~. Never played outbreak, but this looks gorgeous,

I actually found him cooler than hunk because he's a little flawed and not the perfect soldier with the badass nickname who does everything right on the first try. Also the fact that he was left behind and against all odds even facing Mr.X and still having the hope to get out of there makes him a cool character even tho his story isn't canon. Oh and i love his theme :)
