My friend has Auto-immune, and Cancer. It's heartbreaking that nothing can be done about it. She's a doctor and treats patients while being in tremendous pain and on heavy medications. They say she only has 1 or 2 years to live. I feel so helpless, not being able to do anything. I wouldn't wish this upon even my greatest foes.
Wish there was away to help her.
Really sorry to hear about this, friend. Take care of yourself

@@windsofmarchjourneyperrytr2823so God saved her???? Makes no sense since it's very hard to kill cancer with your own body LET ALONE A SINGLE BOOK but here is the things your body creates your cancer WOW CRAZY RIGHT so that means to only way to correct it or fix it is to be healthy and EAT HEALTHY but don't just eat green or meat cause that would be bad

That said, eating healthy DOES impact the chance of getting cancer in the first place; the healthier you eat, the less likely you are to get cancer.

I will turn 74 next month. no history of cancer found in first degree relatives. Both mom and dad rooking their 100+ years. CVD’s are the concern, always measuring my LDL levels. I think I am very fortunate; genetically and environmentally. I haven’t in my life faced major stress or lost someone close or had happen to be delivered bad news for someone/something. Don’t have any inflammatory disease nor does my family. I don’t think I am doing anything different than my peers. Never smoked, never drink(prohibited in my country), used to be an every day swimmer for 30+ years. I practice scuba diving very often, fishing, hike.

Wow. It's crazy how our own body can accidently kill itself!
It purposely kills cells too.
Heeeeeeey CreepsMcPasta
YEAH WE MUST BE SO FUCKIN STEWPID HAHAHAHA
your body can kill itself in very different ways. Fever, not cause by the flu virus, it's a defense mechanism, it is induced by your own body. Asphyxiation due to allergy, your own body overreacting to something not armful at all. When you come to think of it, the human body is amazing, but in no way was the result of intelligent design (yeah, i went there)
So it's confirmed, our bodies are trying to kill us.
If my cells worked like my auto-correct, I would be very very very dead right now

Yeah your phone listens to you lol
according to ohio universety
Having recently discovered that my father has esophageal cancer - after both my grandfather and oldest nephew had it and survived - I was quite scared I might get it as well. While that chance is always going to be there, regardless of genetics, I'm glad that technology is advancing so much. I have hope that no matter how tough this thing gets, humanity will always find a way to suppress and/or cure it.
My heart goes out to all of you who've gone through or have survived it, as well as to the scientists who are doing their absolute best to find better methods to beat this thing.
Y'all rock 😁
All you can do really is minimize the risk of getting it in the meantime. Like sure you can get lung cancer even as a non-smoker, but you have a much much less likely chance of developing it obviously if you don't smoke. This applies to all other cancers as well. But at the end of the day it's beyond your control, so there's really no sense in worrying about it. Just know you'll be able to deal with it if you do get it, and yeah technology is improving but at the end of the day the cynical side of me believes that the for-profit healthcare system we have ensures there is more money in not curing cancer altogether, but treating it.
Scientists are NOT looking for a cure for cancer or anything else.
If they found a cure. They would no longer have a job.
This year is the 100th anniversary of the cure for cancer.
100 years of big pharma cover up.
A cure means decrease in profits.
Not to be a downer - hopefully a realist - the best thing is still early detection/prevention. There’s a recent book about how little cancer treatment has actually improved in the last 60 years. So yes, hopefully things will improve, but don’t put too much faith in that idea. Good healthcare, prevention and early detection is the best hope.
@@HkFinn83
This year is the one hundredth anniversary the cause of cancer and it's natural cure being released to the world.
It's also 100 years of cover ups and lies by the medical mafia!

Also cancer can be caused by Chromosomal translocation where a part of one chromosome breaks off and joins to another chromosome, such as the case of the Philadelphia chromosome implicated in certain leukaemia’s. Here genes involved in cell division end up getting placed next to the powerful promotors involved in antibody production resulting in a massive acceleration in cell division.
Chromosomal translocation can occur when there are a series of weak base pair sequences that can create a weakness in the chromosome and tendency to break. Such weak base pair sequences themselves could be inherited or caused by mutations.

I am pleased that the mistaken belief that in previous centuries people did not live to old age was explained in this video. People often misunderstand the reference to an "average" age was skewed by the high infant mortality rate. Essentially in the past, if you survived into adulthood you would see out a decent lifespan. Once better sanitation with clean water acts was introduced in overcrowded cities and there were improvements in housing, the infant mortality rate improved and the "average" life expectancy increased accordingly.

I’ve survived a relatively mild, yet super rare cancer. I was born, yes actually born with a malignant melanoma on my upper right arm, that was finally successfully removed at age six after x-rays, and cat scans found that it was fully wrapped around the bone and sapping my bone marrow. I was super weak all the time, and couldn’t play with my friends or cousins. Shands in NYC, and Arnold Palmer hospital saved my life when most other doctors said the cancer was too far gone, but they did it, and I just turned 38 four days ago. Cancer sucks.

This video is exactly 10 years as of today. That's kind of depressing actually...
The 10 leading causes of death by age group-diagram is pretty sad. The 3rd most leading cause for kids of 1-4 years old is homocide... And ( i looked it up) mosts homicides in babies/kids are parents, or at least family members, killing their baby child.
Put it this way: In 2008, more parents have killed their 1-4 year old kid than cancer has killed them. And when kids are 5-9 cancer kills them more, but still very closely followed by their parents killing them.
Sometimes I feel sad when pondering over such devastating stats. Thats all those 421 dead children are now. Stats. A number to show us how many sick people are in the world.
Well, at any moment about 25% of people have cancer, it’s just that in most cases your body deals with it. It’s partly why full body scans are a big no, because 1 in 4 people will find something and it’s likely they will then worry about it and want something done ASAP but their body would have sorted it.
I think this is the best Vsauce video I have seen yet.

All humans develop cells that are cancerous cells, but typically, the cells of humans’ internal natural immune systems detect and destroy the cancerous cells before they grow into tumors that cause symptoms of cancer. Due to the fact that cancer cells rapidly evolve within a humans’ body, some cancer cells evolve the ability to evade the human’s natural internal immune system in various ways, leading to their ability to grow into tumors that cause symptoms of cancer, at which point the cancerous cells will either continue growing until they cause the death of the human or until they are cut out with surgery and/or destroyed with specific cancer drugs that medical doctors prescribe to patients with cancer.
