Equivalent new (improved) product available: bit.ly/38PCVgP 😃
I got one of these a while ago. It is a brilliant system for the price and the fact you can add more sensors and they all some at different prices depending where you shop. Some things will interfere with the range between Like walls and the one on a door near the LCB board for some reason.
But you can help extend that range with 433mhz signal repeater I was able to cove my workshops. So a few of them around the house helped with leak detectors under the water tanks in the loft and smoke alarms.
Now I would strongly advise that you get the extra key fob auto turn on turn off for every person who you want to enter the alarmed building. The benefits of doing so makes it worthwhile. Plus you can get them in bulk at real good prices if you shop around. I got more than I need because there is always one who will lose their keys. I got 8 for 29 Euro so you can get good deals on them. You can set the alarm when you leave or just before you leave and you can allow some time before alarm is set. But what you never want to do is allow any entry time at all. If you set an entry time of 10 seconds well that is 10 seconds to long a burglar is in your home. If you have to set a time set it to 1
Use your Remote Controller and turn alarm off before you enter. It is one of the best features of the system. Never advertise the kind of alarm system you have by placing stickers on your window or doors.
If you wish to have your alarm on when you are inside avoid using motion sensors That leaves you with window and door censors and vibration censors and If you wish beam sensors.
Window and door censors work very well and most people use them. But they won’t trigger until a window or door is open. So your burglar will run away but won’t take the time to close a door or window. If your burglar should smash a window and not have to open it well nothing will set off that alarm, so you may want to back that kind of sensor up with a vibration censors that will stop them in their tracks before a window or door is open or smashed. You can also set the sensitivity of the vibration censors you don’t want rain setting it off.
That is what is so good about this alarm system you can tailor it to your needs. The getting notification on your phone is a plus. But let’s remember the importance of that is less important than getting a burglar to run away.
So the Wireless Remote Controller is a must. The zero or one second entry time for getting in is a must. The vibration censor on its own or as a back up to the normal open activated magnet censor is a good idea. Why allow them to open anything at all get them to run before that happens. By all means use the app for your phone and if you have any cameras you can have a look and use the app to reset you’re alarm.
As for the 433mhz signal repeater depending on your system and the size of your protected aria and walls you will more than likely need one or two.
This alarm for its price has all the bells and whistles one could possibly need covers everything form protecting your home, with door and window sensors, motion detectors, carbon monoxide and Smoke alarms, water leak alarms, Gas leak alarms,
It can be monitored by you and send you messages to your phone
Some places will charge you a small fortune for that and when your alarm sounds what is the first thing they do?
Well they phone you or text you. Well now you can have your alarm do that and you don’t have to pay a load of your hard earned cash to have someone else do that.
So what’s not to like
This system is amazing. You can add new devices anytime you want and also if you guys were wondering don’t worry you can add a password OK so don’t be commenting you can’t put a password on there because you can OK you’re welcome
Sorry last question!! I am trying to decide between this version and the new one. In the new one it says it tells you which sensor is set off, and let's you know when the battery is low to each specific sensor. In this version, if the alarm is triggered, does it tell you which sensor is set off? Or is that something only the new touch pad does?
Thanks for a great review, I only would recommend putting on some music that's a bit more uplifting or cheery if you get my drift, I nearly fell asleep. You still get a thumbs up
Ha ha. Difficult to please everyone. I'll set the alarm off on the next one - that'll wake you up :-)
Hey does it have to have a SIM card or is it optional and if it does do you need credit on it or money on it
Thanks for a great review
Having had time to use this a bit longer, I discovered that internal battery does only last about 30 minutes in the event of a power cut. However, I've found a way around that: the solution is to power it from a power bank and have a charger plugged into that. Now it will run for several hours. I hope that helps... where I live, we have frequent power cuts.
Does the alarm system send an sms/email when a power cut happens ? For me this is one of the most important features !!!
@JosefStrom666 I haven't tested that yet. The system will stay powered up for about 25 minutes with no power, but a solution to that is to have it powered from a power bank and have the power bank plugged into a charger - it will then stay powered up for several days.
Yes it does!
What power bank have you used? And how are you finding the system a year on? Would you recommend it?
Hello Sir - I just bought a new version of the digoo device that supports 3G (!). Having gone through the setup I have been able to register all the accessories with the main unit but I have problem AIRLINKING my phone and the device. I have the following questions if you do not mind please:
1. Does the unit come with its own wifi or does it need to be connected to the local wifi that the phone is connected to?
2. I can see the wifi logo on the device but not sure if it is connected as the logo is not bright white but very clear with full signal.
3. i have followed all the instruction that came with the device and also followed your youtube demo but failed to AIRLINK the phone and the device!
4. What have I done: (a) Set the app to International. (b) Use the same wifi that the phone is connected to and the wifi is 2.G. (c) Kept the device and the phone close together to the router. (d) There is no space in the wifi password.
Can you please talk me through the process if I have done it incorrectly? Many thanks
Airlinking is only to allow the HOSA alarm to connect to your home wifi network. All that is required is the router name and password. Once that is complete, the App can be registered, logged into, and full control made available to your smartphone.
Hi nice video. Does it send trigger notifications to the app?
Installed mine over the last few days, impressed however its missing a number of handy features
1 You cant edit one sensors parameters, you have to just delete all of them
2 You cant name the individual sensors ie "Garage" or Wash house" this would be handy to know what has triggered
Lets not forget its a cheap alarm but im happy with it, the phone software seems to work just fine
Can't argue with any of that! But your last sentence sums it up well - it is what it is. Adding lots more features would just make it more difficult to set up - increase the price - and probably put people off.
Hi! I'm not sure if I understand if you need an existing WiFi signal or if the system has one built-in to connect the sensors?
I'd like to install this system in a location with no existing internet or WiFi and use it as a standalone system with multiple sensors.
The sensors use radio frequency to transmit to the base unit - each has a button cell battery inside (AA's for the PIR movement detector). It's also perfectly possible to install the system with no wifi - App - or SIM card and just use it with the supplied remote control. Let me know if you have any problems and I'll walk you through it.
I see you didn't test the motion sensor. How has the motion sensor been and the battery battery life? Does it take the same battery as the door sensors?
The PIR motion sensor comes with 2 pre-installed AAA batteries (remote and sensors take CR2030 button cells) - with a tab to pull out on first use. Battery life is stated to be at least 12 months, and I've no reason to doubt it. The detection range is about 10 metres, and distance from the main unit at least 50. No issues so far :-)
I'm sorry I've read the comments and I'm not sure if I'm missing something or just dumb. Do I need a sim card for it to send the SMS message to my phone, or can it send me a message to my phone through wifi? Or if no sim card does it only send a message to the app, and not directly to my phones text messages?
I'm sure you're not dumb! 😆 I use my system without a SIM card and it sends arm/disarm messages direct to my phone, and a loud alarm noise if it's triggered. Obviously the smartphone needs to be connected to the internet all the time - which most are, these days.
Hi, thank you for the video first of all.
I have a few questions if you can answer them, please.
1. Am I able to add a door chime so when someone walks in my store it has a chime sound? If so where can I purchase this from eBay?
2. Am I able to get a notification to my iPhone when a customer walks into the store? So I can watch how my workers perform through my cctv camera’s.
1) No
2) Yes, if you pair a camera to the App. A message will be sent to your iPhone and then all you need to do is click 'Video' on the 'Smart Life Control' menu. A suitable camera is the BB 1X: 🌐👉 bit.ly/2z7Bw2u
Agogohome Agogohome thanks for the reply
I recently bought this product and so far I like it. However, how do you open the battery cover from the PIR detector without breaking it? I already broke one by pulling it too hard.
Sorry for the late reply! Yes, tricky isn't it! The procedure that works for me is to firmly push the release tab up while inserting a thumb nail in the gap that starts to open between the two half's. Sliding your nail up will release the plastic retaining clips, one-by-one. Let me know if you want a video demo and I'll upload one :-)
when its armed can you disarm by just pressing disarm on the keypad or must enter code then disarm i saw the touchscreen version has user codes but when alarm is going off just press disarm on keypad will disarm the system therefore any burglar just presses the disarm then the system offs does this need to be disarm by code or not
The key pad can be locked after entering a password (separate menu to enable). If the alarm is triggered, it is too late for a burglar to disarm, as it will have already sent a message by SMS or wifi to the owner.
Hello Sir, i purchased one and installed, works great! just one question, what are the settings when i want to keep the door- and windowsensors activated, and the PIR sensors de-activated when i'm home?
I haven't played with some of latest app additions, but from the 'System Settings' menu, go to 'Detector Settings' - 'add detector', then change 'Detector Mode' from 'Stay Armed Active' to 'Out Armed Active'. Let me know if it works :-)
So does it send you a message to your phone if you're away. Or does it just use wi-fi to alert your phone and if so what's the range. What's the range of the remote sensors, what's the alarms db, is it adaptable to add more remote sensors. Is their peripherals available for things like smoke, carbon monoxide etc. How long between chargings for the base unit, does it come with a wall type charger, can it be hooked up to 5v dc permanently. Is each system addressable or is there a chance of interference from another unit. What is the operational temperature range for both the main unit and remote sensors. What is the sweep range of the motion detector, can it be adjusted to ignore pets. These are just some questions that you normally find answers to from the back of the products box.
Lots of question! :-) .... Yes, it sends a message to your smartphone... using wifi it will work within the range of your home LAN... or limitless if you're connected to a 2G, (and now 3G network with the latest version). The remote sensors (window, PIR, etc) have a range of about 50 metres. The base unit will work for about 20 minutes with no power and its built in battery. I have plugged mine into a power bank - with the power bank plugged in to a charger - that way it will last weeks with no power. No chance of interference from other sensors as each has its own unique code that has to be learnt by the main unit. The PIR motion detector can be fully adjusted to avoid pets walking past - obviously that needs some experimenting! .... and finally, yes, there's a very comprehensive list of sensors available as extras - including smoke, carbon monoxide and water level. There's also a VERY loud external siren, which I can thoroughly recommend - the built in one is adequate, but the external one would scare off any intruder that triggered it! Here's a list of add-on's: bit.ly/2wzZcHH
Been looking at this for awhile now, a couple of questions
1 PIR false triggers how are they with cats?
2 RFID tags, have you tried one?
Thanks :)
I have a cat and she's never triggered the PIR sensor. They are fully adjustable - horizontal and vertical - so it will depend on how it's been angled. All the supplied sensors (and the extras) are RFID tagged and work flawlessly
Hi!! I have purchased some rfid tags at 125khz and just wondering how you pair and remove the current ones?
Install the latest Easy Security app and add the tags from the menu. It is very easy! play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.company.pg600.pro&hl=en-GB&fbclid=IwAR17uMoVDXCsOxs0JvLrJ7ZoUtDRne-75h1vVGKEw8GuTwgIF_TTxv0W8Q0
First, thank you for a great video, and a lot of anwers. Is it possible to set the duration of the siren, or it will make noise until you disarm system? For me it would be great if it could work for a couple of minutes, then stop on its own. if you or anybody else have the answer, that would be great
Ha! Funny you should ask this question, I have just set mine to 2 minutes, from the default setting of 3... easily done from the Settings menu on the HOSA.
Just to add to that, the range can be anything from one minute to whatever you want - hours if necessary!
Thanks for info, its very usefull
Is Internet and gsm is compulsory to use the system or the alarm system work without gsm and Internet...? 🤔
Neither internet or GSM are needed. The alarm can be used direct from the touch display (using delayed entry/exit), or just the supplied key fob. It's childishly simple! :-)
Great review, can I know how far the accessories can be placed away from the main panel ? Thank you
Sorry for late reply - blame CZcams! I put this to the test by walking at least 50 metres down the road. Conclusion I came to was that you'd need to live in a huge house - with extremely thick walls - for them to not work.
awesome ! thanks for the reply though
Hello dear sir. I bought a system. All good for more than a year. Now starts making an alarm sometimes. It works alone. What could be? It works alarm at night alone. Maybe a window sensor battery?
PIR detectors can be triggered by the close movement of insects - spiders, for example. Window/door sensors need to transmit a secure code to the HOSA alarm, so if the battery has failed, its impossible for that to happen.
The most likely culprit is a faulty remote control. One of mine was exposed to damp conditions and frequently triggered the system. Opening and cleaning the circuit board with Isopropyl alcohol (available at any pharmacy), fixed it. Hope that helps :-)
Change the batteries.
Very good review. Thank you. I'm very interested in Digoo DG-HOSA.
From which you have used it for more than 1 year
I have questions as follows.
1. How often is it that the notification is incorrect?
2. On average How long will you change the Windows Sensor battery?
Thank you very much for your answer.
Hello Devid. I've used it for almost 2 years, now... and it's still working as good as when it was first installed! During this time there has been many updates fixing minor app issues and adding features - although I've never had a single problem since first powering it on. Wifi notifications are accurate and received on my smartphone within 2 seconds of arming or disarming the system - same goes if the system is triggered. As for battery life of the window/door sensors (2032 cells available everywhere), my front door sensor battery was changed just last week, but that is used frequently, all day long, so expect a minimum of 18 months... and probably well over 2 years for doors and windows that are only opened occasionally. Let me know if you need help... I'll always reply, even if takes a while :-)
@@phuketexplorer From your review that clarifies. Now I have purchased it for use. Thank you very much for your kindness.
Is it best to mount the sensors higher up in the windows for a better signal to the main unit ?
Unless you live in a castle, It really doesn't matter as the the range of the sensors is in the order of 20 meters or more - through walls and obstacles.
Hey, What's the App called? I had to change my phone, and I can't find the original box for the alarm system :)
I'm surprised My App profile has no history of it either....
Best option is to add it the DigooLife app. Works flawlessly! Sorry for the late reply :-) play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.dohome&hl=en-GB
Buddy how long does batteries last I have a gsm 1st generation not this type the ones with 9v batteries in pir not this kind and is this 2g because I been told there shutting it down soon thank any info please 22/10/19
If you are referring to the batteries in the PIR, it takes 2 X AAA. Mine have been running for 2+ years without changing. Depends on where you live - some countries will continue to have 2G for many years to come. If you need the 3G version, it can be found here: bit.ly/2B56iX5
Do you still like the system? Any issues to add since you installed? Good video, thanks, JohnG
None whatsoever! I've now added the optional Siren and another 12 door/window switches. The new Siren is absolutely deafening, compared to the one built in - I think an intruder would run a mile :-)
Hi mate, what siren did you go for? Is it wireless or need to be cabled? Im a bit worried it wont be loud enough and hoping to put one outside
Do you need to pay for a monthly subscription to be able to receive phone notifications? How does the SIM card work? Do I need to purchase the SIM card?
No charges or subscriptions and you do not need to purchase a SIM card to get notifications on your smartphone - providing you're connected to the internet.
hi i bought it on the 21/1/18 and it said it was shipped with priority direct mail on 22 and on 24 it said the item is pre-advised...till now nothing has changed ... what should i do .. in how much time did you get it?
'Pre-advised' is a message from the carrier, saying they've got the package. It typically takes 5-10 days for shipping information to be properly updated - that's out of Banggood's hands! You'll probably receive it anytime now, if you haven't already - mine took about 2 weeks from being sent. Has the tracking information been updated now?
Does the alarm make a sound if it goes off or is that bought separate?
Yes the HOSA has a built in siren - which is reasonably loud and wouldn't go unnoticed. An optional external siren can be plugged into the side of the unit and can be heard outside, even with closed doors. That's a much better option.
So I don't want to use a sim card, I'm interested in the internet part of this system. When I'm not home and an intruder comes, will I get notified through the app on my phone? Thanks.
Yes, providing both your smartphone and the HOSA are connected to a wifi network. This is how I use mine and it works well.
Awesome review, thanks. I'm very interested in this alarm.
But I have a cat. Can you tell me if it's work with pets ?
We also have a cat and I can assure you there's no issue. The PIR detector is on a ball joint and can easily be angled so it doesn't detect movement at ground level. Position and adjustment are the key to success.
I am not understanding which mode to pair the PIR sensor and door sensors. I only really want 2 options. When I go to bed at night and someone triggers the doors I want it to alarm and when I leave the house I want it to arm, so which settings do I use I am confused with all the modes od 24hours, closed, stay arm and out arm. Can you please help and clarify???
Sorry for the late reply. If you haven't already solved the problem, do this: open 'System Settings' on the smartphone app, click on 'Detector Settings' and make sure 'Detector Mode' is set to 'Stay Armed Active' (default mode). Let me know if you need any more help 😃
It would've been nice to see the actual entire set up including SIM card because mine won't let me get past that even though I'm trying to run it on WIFI.
It was a very new product when I made the video - and I hadn't got a spare SIM. Does your mobile operator support 2G? The version I reviewed does not support 3G.
how loud is the siren? is it built in into the main controller?
Yes, there's a built in siren which is adequate if you are within a reasonable distance. But much better is the optional plug in siren, which produces a deafening 110 dB and would wake the dead! 🌐👉 bit.ly/2A4VM4k
could you make a video about ioBroker in english?
Yeah but you still have time to turn it off before the entry delay counts down. And before you say you can hind the base unit ( which is what the manufacturers answer was) it kind of makes it a little difficult to put the code in
The entry delay can be set to whatever you want. Mine is set to '0', so as soon a door or window is opened, the alarm is triggered. I turn it off before entering the house, using the key fob remote.
Sorry what Android app does it use? thanks.
Easy Security App: play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.company.pg600.pro&hl=en-GB&fbclid=IwAR17uMoVDXCsOxs0JvLrJ7ZoUtDRne-75h1vVGKEw8GuTwgIF_TTxv0W8Q0
Nice ! Do you know if the alarm system can call your cell phone through de GSM and Wifi ? Thanks
Indeed it can! You can record a per-recorded message that it will send to as many numbers as you want. You can also make normal phone calls through the main unit.
Hi,
I have a question regarding wiring.
1. Can sensors be connected to the main unit with wires? Not only wirelessly.
I have a concern that if I install the main unit in first floor and some sensors in rooms in the second floor it will not work properly.
Waiting for your kindly advise.
No... why would you want to do that?
Apologies to all for taking so long to answer questions... I'm doing my best :-)
No door chime ability, although there is an optional door bell button.
Hello, did you find a solution to the power ON/OFF button issue ? The problem is that if you press the button for 5 seconds approximately, it turns off the system and disable the alarms and siren. Thanks for your answer and sorry for my english !
Bizarrely, it's possible to arm the system then turn it off by holding the power button for 5 seconds. That said, anyone breaking in will have already triggered the alarm and a message will have been sent to the owners smartphone, so it's not really an issue.
Can you arm it or disarm it from outside after you close the door?
Yes, from the APP or the remote control... or you can set a delay period on the main unit and arm before leaving
Do we get a wifi message when some dis alarm it or alarm it I am going to use it for my store and if my employee dis alarm it will i get a wifi notification on the app
A message is sent to your phone every time the system is armed/disarmed. There is also a daily log displayed (on the app), showing the exact date and time the system was armed/disarmed. It works really well.
Hi, do you know if we can activate a door chime? I like to know when someone opens a door, even though the system is not armed. Thank you
No, it hasn't got that feature, although an optional door bell button is available
Thanks ! pat.
hi sir. do you know if i can call the sim(main unit) from my cell can i remote control the alarm?
You can send text message to the device which includes your passcode and other codes to arm, disarm and other things to control the alarm.
how do arm and disarm using the txt msg format?
How much does it cost? Is it available in the USA? If available in the USA, where can I buy it? Thank you for your video.
Best to check the website for the latest price, because Banggood change their offers on a near daily basis: bit.ly/2sMiCLhHOSA .... they ship to the USA, no problem.
Banggood have just added a complete system to the website, including all sensors and the additional external Siren (recommended). Here's the page for that: bit.ly/2wzZcHH
Do I need to port foward if I want to control the system through the Iphone app by 3G?
The version in my review only works with 2G, but there is now a 3G version: bit.ly/2B56iX5
Could you do the following test: press the arming alarms button on the remote control and hold this button pressed, at the same time try to disconnect the window-door sensor (reed switch) or any other sensor. Has the alarm started? These cheap Chinese alarms are underdeveloped. The signal from the remote control blocks the signal from the sensor. The thief will come with his transmitter and the alarm will not react. Sorry for my English but I hope you know what I mean.
I've tried what you suggested and the alarm still goes off. Once the system is armed, signals from the detectors cannot be interfered with because each sends it's own unique code to the HOSA unit.
Will this call and or txt yyour phone?
Does eith work with gsm, wifi, or both?
Yes, yes.... and yes again. Not all countries still have 2G networks, so if you are considering buying, then go for the updated version with 3G: 🌐👉 bit.ly/2B56iX5
'Yes'... and 'both' :-)
Can i just use the wifi from my home router to monitor the alarm when im out of my home? Without using any gsm card?
Well, you'd need to be within range of your home network for that to work. However, so long as your smartphone is connected to the internet (with the app installed), you'll receive arm/disarm and alarm notifications from anywhere in the world - no SIM required!
Can you use 120V outlet to power? Can this be used with a landline?
Can be powered from any 5V (micro USB) phone charger, so can be used in any country. It connects and sends messages to your phone via wifi or SMS message - which obviously needs a SIM card. No connection for a land-line. I have never needed to make use of SIM card service, as my smartphone has a permanent internet connection
It uses any standard 120-240V phone charger - so yes. No landline ability, it connects and messages through wifi (anywhere) or SMS to a mobile
what about the app functionality? does it give you an alarm on the phone? does it send emails? etc
The App notifies you of every event (locking, unlocking etc) and an SMS in the event of the alarm being triggered. Obviously the phone has to be connected to a wifi network (any)
are you saying ill only get alerts on my cell phone app only if I'm on my wifi network ? meaning to won't alert me if I'm away from home ?
Any idea if it possible to set an audible tone whilst entry time is being counted down ? to remind us to turn alarm off before it gets loud ! lol
Hi Richard. Sounds like you're used to the old wired systems that bleeped. No the HOSA doesn't do that. I guess they figured out people would remember to leave the house a few seconds after arming the alarm :-) I arm mine after leaving the property - with the remote. It seems the most logical option (exit delay set to '0').
sorry it was entry I was questioning , not exiting , I have been able to remember to leave the property ! lol
Question... i only want to be nottified on my mobile phone, i dont want to set the siren on... can the siren be completly muted and only be warned by app or sms ?
It most certainly can! It's an easy process to turn the siren off from the setting menu - then notifications will only be received by SMS or app/wifi
Can I put a gsm card and have it monitored with a alarm company like adt
I guess that would be up to the monitoring company, but I don't see why not.
So you can disarm it just by pressing one button on the front panel? No code required?doesn't seem that safe.
Yes, if that's how it's been set - but don't forget the main feature - it sends a message direct to your smartphone, once triggered.
The keypad can also be set to lock - requiring a password to un-lock
how far apart the magnets can be? Maximun. thanks
They need to be within a centimetre of the sensor
Theres has to b a pin code right? If not anyone could just hit the disarm button upon coming n the door right?
Yes, if that's how it's been set - but don't forget the main feature - it sends a message direct to your smartphone, once triggered.
The keypad can also be set to lock - requiring a password to un-lock
For cell phone notification. Can the app sent push notifications instead of adding a SIM card into the unit?
Yes, no SIM card required if your smartphone is permanently connected to wifi - the app notifies you of every event - date and exact time.
Agogohome Agogohome just wifi? I mean you answer half of the question... does it send you an notification via app whether you are in wifi or using your LTE data plan?
Yes, the app sends a notification via wifi. If you also have a SIM card in the alarm system, then you'll receive a message from that, too.
If one tries to "reset password" through the app, you have to enter your password that you are trying to retrieve... Can someone explain the logic behind that?
if someone entered the house lets say a thief right and the alarm went off, couldn't they just press unlock on the system like you just did in the video to disable the alarm?
Yes, they most certainly could... but don't forget, by the time the burglar has got to alarm, it has already sent out an SMS message and triggered the alarm on the owners smartphone (via wifi).
how many mhz is the external siren?
The external frequency of the optional siren is (I guess) about 1-2Khz. It is EXTREMELY loud
Can I use 2 keypads in the system? Thanks
Yes, it comes with 2 remote keypads in the box. It's just a matter of pairing them to the system - a very simple task done from settings in the app or HOSA keypad.
Hi there, Why my alarm goes off every time after the delay time expired (set for 30 sec)?
regards
That's what it is supposed to do!
So the sound only comes out from the screen? Is it loud?
Loud enough to be heard around the house, but the (additional) plug in siren is more desirable and would grab the attention of people outside the property
Hello i have the same alaram. But i don't know how to put screen (display)light off . Can you tell me please ?
The screen is lit all the time and there is no way of turning it off
I can see you disarm only by pressing a button, why it doesn't asks for a disarm code? Do you have the option to only disarm using a code ? Thanks for the review.
I hadn't discovered the password option when I made the video :-) Yes, once a password is entered, all functions on the system are locked until its entered.
I set a passcode and I can still deactivate it by just pressing disarm?! What am I doing wrong? The app doesn't run on Android :/
Actually, in the settings you can press "Keypad lock" if you arm it with tag or button it will count 3 seconds and then lock the system which asks for a code if you want to disarm it.
what is the maximum distance from the sensor to the system?
I've tested the sensors from more than 20 metres away and they worked just fine. You'd need a a very large property for them not to be detected.
How do I download the app? I scan the barcode and it says " gateway not available"
Try direct from Google Play Store: play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.company.pg600.cn
What was app called plz can u reply to this and tell me
Sorry for the very late reply! I'm using 'Smart Security System', available on the Android Play Store, here: play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.company.pg600.cn it's also on IOS, but I haven't a link for that - sorry.
Can you add a PIN for disarming from the panel?
Yes, from the built in on-screen menu.... but it's easier to just arm/disarm using the remote control.
You seemed to be able to cancel alarm conditions simply by pressing the DisArm button. If that is normal operation this alarm is pointless. I just hope that this was because it is in setup mode and the pin has not been set yet.
Yes, if that's how it's been set - but don't forget the main feature - it sends a message direct to your smartphone, once triggered.
The keypad can also be set to lock - requiring a password to un-lock
I purchased this product because of your review, i get it but can't connect it to the app. Don't know what to do.
Do you have it working now? This is the correct App on the Google Play Store: play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.company.pg600.cn
@@phuketexplorer the app that u posted is no longer available in the google app store. I have found it on other sites.. i manage to install it on my phone(android), and the airlink goes off at 97%, same thing with the softApp configure...it goes 96% and after that it crashes, saying configuration failure...what can I do?
Im unable to register on the app
I only had to enter an email address and password, and the Smart Security System App worked straight away: play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.company.pg600.cn
The QR code on the box of my alarm was not readable. I downloaded the app from your link and it worked. Thank you very much for sharing the app link 😀😀😀
what is app called? where can you get manual if lost yours or did not get one
The App is called 'Smart Security System' and needs absolutely no explanation once you've installed and registered with an email address and password. Here a link to Google Play Store: play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.company.pg600.cn Every box includes an English only instruction book - which I still haven't read (who does!) For a Chinese device, it's remarkably easy to set up and use. It's quite possible to not use the App at all, as every function is accessible from the easy to use menu on the main box. Obviously Digoo have put a lot of thought into making it easy.
is it possible to connect a camera and its pir motion alarm to this system?
Yes... sort of! Digoo cameras will connect to the HOSA App - and can be viewed on it - but they cannot trigger an alarm.
thanks for the answer. but how?
how do you set it so has password lock, i see just hit buttons unlock and lock no password needed
Easy. That's done through 'settings' on the main unit. I now have to enter my password every time, if I want to do anything from the main unit. The remote controls and APP still work without a password.
can you walk us through?
It's simply a case of going to 'settings' on the main unit and selecting 'Password' from the menu. The procedure is so simple it's not worth making a video. Let me know if you have a problem and I'll help.
Agogohome Agogohome I’m having trouble as well. I have already set a system and user password but it still arms and disarms without the password. Idk what else to do..
Bojack, does it "arm and disarm" on the actual "Main Host System", or are you saying it allows you to do that on your APP on the cellphone? If so, that is normal. The cell won't ask for the password, only the home system will ask for that.
Can you program it to need a security code to disarm? I'm thinking that an intruder could just push the disarm button.
A security code is easily added from the built in menu... but by the time a thief has found it, it will have already triggered the alarm and sent a message to your phone via sms or the app - on wifi.
Actually, in the settings you can press "Keypad lock" if you arm it with tag or button it will count 3 seconds and then lock the system which asks for a code if you want to disarm it.
I'm having issues with airlinking to WiFi, any suggestions?
Delete the old app and install 'Easy Security' : play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.company.pg600.pro&hl=en-GB&fbclid=IwAR17uMoVDXCsOxs0JvLrJ7ZoUtDRne-75h1vVGKEw8GuTwgIF_TTxv0W8Q0
When I try to use the app it says get verification code by mobile so I enter my cell number then it does a countdown but I never receive code.
Not sure what's going on there! Have you got it working now? play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.company.pg600.cn
I finally got the code to work through the email. The remote sirens were a pain to get to work because the instructions aren't quite clear. Say's hold until you hear one beep but the siren always does three beeps. I finally figured I had to release the button after first beep not just hold it.
click on the email tab instead, if you have gmail it should work that way
Everything is working except the door bell. You still can't register with your cell and you have to use your email to do it.
Can disarm have pin no,
Sir what is the use of RFID ?
It stands for Radio Frequency Identification and is a wireless method of connecting sensors to the alarm system
You know what is the app name for this?
Easy Security: play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.company.pg600.pro&hl=en-GB&fbclid=IwAR17uMoVDXCsOxs0JvLrJ7ZoUtDRne-75h1vVGKEw8GuTwgIF_TTxv0W8Q0
Hi man,do we need password on this one to disable the alarm manually?
No, can be disabled instantly from the remote control. A password is an optional feature to lock the buttons on the panel.
@@phuketexplorer if we have forget the password, how can we get access to the menu?
can you change the tone of the alarm?
There's no adjustment for tone or volume of the built in siren, although an external wired (much louder) version is available as an option.
What's the name of the app?
I posted in the description above, but here it is again: (Smart Security System) can be downloaded here: 🌐👉 bit.ly/2Pj34Xq

Sorry for the late replies, everyone. CZcams has only just posted the comments!
Hi
If door sensor triggered and after delay 15 sec alarm sound is on, anyone can disarm security system with pushing button on main panel? on your video 7:28
I've since set the delay entry time to '0', and disarm the the unit before entering the house. I think that's the most logical option. The control panel can be protected with a PIN... which I've also now done :-)
Actually, in the settings you can press "Keypad lock" if you arm it with tag or button it will count 3 seconds and then lock the system which asks for a code if you want to disarm it.
What if people who break in just off the power?
A message is sent via SMS or wifi to you your mobile, once the alarm is triggered. Doesn't make any difference if the burglar turns off the power - or simply smashes it off the wall - it's TOO late :-)
@@phuketexplorer i believe the system is built with rechargeable battery in it. it can operate an hours or a day even detached from main power unit.
Can the thief just press disarmed???
Yes, covered this topic a thousand times already! It's not an issue because the alarm system sends a message to your phone as soon as it's triggered... or it could be installed in a secret location with the siren disabled. That way a thief wouldn't know they've been detected - but a message would still be sent (SMS or Wifi)
system disarm with out the password???!!
this is very stupid, when thief can entry and push the button disarm, lol....
Yes, if that's how it's been set - but don't forget the main feature - it sends a message direct to your smartphone, once triggered.
The keypad can also be set to lock - requiring a password to un-lock
There is a function called "Keypad lock", which when enabled requests a password to unlock the keypd. By using this, you will actually have to put in password before you are able to disarm.
unless im missing something it seems to me that all you have to as a thief is walk in and press and hold in the power for three seconds on code needed!! Total worthless as a security alarm
Yes, you're missing something! As soon as the alarm is triggered, it sends a message or sounds an alarm on the owners smartphone... either by SMS or Wifi.
It is only you set the entry delay to zero. Otherwise, the intruder will have enough time to turn it off without code.
But even if they turn it off it will already have sent an SMS message to the owners smartphone. If I were an intruder I would just smash it to a million pieces... but that would be too late, too :-)
can u add a password to shut off the alarm instead of the unlock button?? any thief that knows this alarm can easily turn it off with no password
Yes, from the menu on the screen. A thief would probably just smash it, but it will have already sent a message by SMS or triggered the alarm via the app and wifi. That's the great advantage this system offers.
Actually, in the settings you can press "Keypad lock" if you arm it with tag or button it will count 3 seconds and then lock the system which asks for a code if you want to disarm it.
@@karl-marcussiiman7501 Thanks for the information on the disarm button. There are lots of bad reviews on Amazon saying anyone can just push the unlock button to disable the alarm sound. Is this true?
It seems pointless to be able to simply press disarm. Any intruder could just shut off the alarm. You should have to enter a passcode.
You can set a password if you want, but it's pretty pointless. BTW, by the time an intruder had got to it, messages will have already been sent to the owners' smartphone. They could smash it with a hammer, but it's too late!
