- Hi we are Rozzie, Rob & Ralph the nutty cockapoo and we have given up the rat race, sold our house and have bought a new narrowboat, Thistle & Rose. Our vlogs are showing our learns as we go from bricks and mortar to life on the water. Join us as we literally learn the ropes of becoming continual cruisers on England's 2500 miles of canals & rivers.
Our vlogs are ideal if you have ever wondered what it's like to live on a narrowboat or are considering to make the leap and buy your very own narrowboat. There's always some humour, lots of mistakes and always a few drinks being poured. Subscribe to our channel, ask us a question or just watch our videos as there's something for everyone.
Our music is from www.epidemicsound.com

I love history, as well. The Google shots and quick canal lesson is the kind of info I love that you add in.
So glad you like it!
Thanks for watching ☺️
I could listen to you talk all day ma'am..😊 and baby blue is my favorite color... the music is right up my alley 🎶
😊 thank you
Like that you show the un-glamorous bits too! Narrowboating isn’t all G&T’s on deck in the glimmering sunshine - some times there’s weeds to tackle
Always jobs to be done! Thanks for watching
We do a couple of dishes in the Southern US. One is Low County Boil (new potatoes, fresh Corn on the cob, sausage, fresh caught shrimp and blue crabs! Yum!) The other is called BIG POT, it can be soup, stew or anything you fancy.
Do you have Crock Pots in the UK? One would be great on a boat. Slow cooks all day.
THANK GOD YOU KEPT YOUR CAR,!!!!!
Sounds great! We cook lots of dishes onboard. We can’t always have appliances switched on unless the engine is on as it would drain the batteries. But our log burner acts as a “slow” way to cook and it’s free 😀
Hi guys im just searching through as many video as i can where the canal boats have passed through or stopped in Brinklow just to see if i have been caught on my kayak paddling past your canal boat, the likely hood of that is slim but i kayak the stretch between coventry canal all the way past barby marina my home turf route.
Im the Brinklow kayaker and ive met a few vloggers passing through brinklow latest one was kevin the country gent few weeks ago i was lucky enough to bump into him on the tump and got a feature on his video made my day but pity i wasnt on my kayak at the time.
Also met foxes afloat shaune and colin were great. Many more ...😊
Anyway please visit again soon the Brinklow community love yo see new faces and i am always hooing to meet other canal users.
Love kayaking look out for me in this area blue kayak called roamin jones.
All the best
Kev the brinklow kayaker
Hi, unfortunately we have no ore footage than whats in the video. We've been to Brinklow a few times and have really enjoyed it so maybe we'll spot you next time and will be sure to give you a shout. Thanks for watching.
I love stew and fresh bread. Vernon.
It was yummy!
Loving your videos, keep up the great work 😊
Thanks so much!
Thanks for the mention we enjoy watching your vlogs Dave and Ruth
Thanks Dave and Ruth! Rozzie remembered after I promise! Hope to see you again very soon, thank you for watching! X
You left your key in the ignition 😉👍
Oh!
Great vlog as always, as a noisy old bugger I can’t wait to have a look around your boat 😃👍
Thanks Steve! We are really excited to do our tour of the boat, looking forward to sharing it with you and our subscribers in January! Merry Christmas 🎉
@@thenarrowboatgoodlife That tour of the boat filled me with jealousy ha-ha
Same here get into the festive season also ooh Gary Davies sounds of the 80s I'm with you there loving you both and Ralph keep up the good work 🤗 🤗
Cheers David, Rozzie does enjoy Christmas honest! Lol but yes we do love Gary Davis! Thank you for watching 😊
Great video. Thank you! The sunset on the trees was incredible. We enjoyed that.
Thank you! We love taking in sunsets when we can! Glad you enjoyed it 😊
Lovely vlog. Re women steering. It’s a must, we bought our Narrowboat 8 years ago and I have always steered the locks. I’m 67 and would struggle with the locks, Trev always does them. It’s much quicker and by far the most sensible option. Jen Trev and Ralf. NB Life of Riley xx
Need to build up my confidence! Eek, thanks for watching x
nice sharing and good luck 👍👍👍
Thank you 👍
I loved the effect with the two maps, that was really interesting :)
Thanks. We’ll do more as we go. Thanks for watching 😁🍻
*Stupid question alert* - Why do we drive on the right hand side of the canals?
Good question - the convention in nautical navigation is for boats and ships to pass portside to portside so boats need to be on the right of the waterway 👍🏼
Rob how do you find not working? Is it a long term plan not to work or just a break?
Loving it at the moment and the vlogs are keeping me busy! Not sure yet but definitely nothing the fast paced. Thanks for watching.
Yes I have stepped back from a 70/80 hour a week Career and now consulting, I think its a simple thing trading time for money and true wealth is having control over your time! Best of luck.
New subscriber!! love the videos and the boat and Ralf are gorgeous!!❤
Could I be cheeky and ask 2 questions?
1) Would you be able to share the name of the boat builder? (And would you recommend them?)
2) Where about in Scotland is the accent from? I’m from Aberdeen (born and raised in Banff). 😊
Thank you so much!! And yes of course…..our boat was built by Aintree boats in Liverpool, we’ll talk more in detail about them in our next vlog. But overall we were really pleased!
I’m originally from Forfar so not far, my Dads family is from Aberdeenshire 👍🏼
